Talibani od svog drugog dolaska na vlast pokušavaju uvjeriti preplašene Afganistance i nepovjerljivu međunarodnu zajednicu da će ovaj put biti "pozitivno drugačiji". Reputacija im je takva da im malotko vjeruje.
Ovo je pet njihovih obećanja kojima žele pokazati da su se promijenili.
Žene će imati prava, ali...
Talibani su posvećeni pravima žena koje će imati mogućnost raditi i obrazovati se, rekao je talibanski glasnogovornik Zabihula Mudžahid u utorak.
Ali je naglasio da će se to utvrđivati islamskim zakonom. A on je podložan interpretaciji talibanskog ultrakonzervativnog čelništva.
Kad su bili na vlasti od 1996. do 2001. brutalno su ograničavali prava žena.
Djevojčicama je bilo zabranjeno pohađati školu, a ženama sudjelovati u javnom životu. Iz kuće su mogle jedino potpuno pokrivene burkom i u pratnji muškog rođaka.
One koje su ta pravila prekršile žestoko su kažnjavali, uključujući i kamenovanje do smrti zbog preljuba.
Pomilovanje za sve
Talibani su objavili da je svima koji su se borili protiv njih sve oprošteno. To uključuje vladine dužnosnike, policajce i vojnike.
Pošto su amnestiju znali objavljivati i prije, mnogi su skeptični. Za vrijeme prve vladavine ubijali su političke, vjerske i civilne protivnike.
I posljednjih su mjeseci optuženi za ubijanje zarobljenika i civila.
Povjerenik UN-a za ljudska prava kaže da ima izvješća o mogućim ratnim zločinima.
Sigurnost strancima
Po osvajanju vlasti brzo su obećali stranim vladama i organizacijama da su njihova veleposlanstva, predstavništva i osoblje sigurni.
Jedan ruski diplomat izjavio je da je situacija bolja nego za prijašnje vladavine.
Talibani, međutim, imaju lošu reputaciju i kad je zaštita stranih misija i njihovih djelatnika u pitanju.
Godine 1996. upali su u prostorije UN-a gdje se bivši predsjednik Nadžibulah imao zajamčen izbjeglički status, izvukli ga van, ubili i tijelo mu objesili o stup.
Dvije godine posije u Mazar-i-Šarifu upali su u iranski konzulat i ubili devet diplomata i novinara.
Afganistan neće biti baza za napad na druge
Glavna točka američkog sporazuma o povlačenju potpisanog prošle godine s talibanima glasi da oni neće dopustiti da militantne skupine djeluju iz Afganistana.
Povod američke invazije na Afganistan bilo je odbijanje tadašnje talibanske vlasti da im predaju Osamu bin Ladena, vođu Al Kaide i organizatora napada 11. rujna 2001.
Talibani naglašavaju da će poštivati potpisano i da nisu prijetnja nijednoj drugoj naciji.
Posljednje izvješće Vijeća sigurnosti UN-a iz lipnja govori o tome da su talibani i ostaci Al Kaide u bliskim odnosima.
Nema više droge
Talibani obećavaju da će okončati industriju narkotika u Afganistanu, jednom od najvećih središta proizvodnje i krijumčarenja heroina.
To je, međutim, unosan posao, a veliko je pitanje hoće li talibanska vlada imati isti pristup financijskim institucijama i međunarodnoj pomoći kao što je imala prethodna.
Po izvješćima UN-a, talibani su prošle godine zaradili stotine milijuna dolara od trgovine drogom.

Talibani od svog drugog dolaska na vlast pokušavaju uvjeriti preplašene Afganistance i nepovjerljivu međunarodnu zajednicu da će ovaj put biti "pozitivno drugačiji". Reputacija im je takva da im malotko vjeruje.
Ovo je pet njihovih obećanja kojima žele pokazati da su se promijenili.
Žene će imati prava, ali...
Talibani su posvećeni pravima žena koje će imati mogućnost raditi i obrazovati se, rekao je talibanski glasnogovornik Zabihula Mudžahid u utorak.
Ali je naglasio da će se to utvrđivati islamskim zakonom. A on je podložan interpretaciji talibanskog ultrakonzervativnog čelništva.
Kad su bili na vlasti od 1996. do 2001. brutalno su ograničavali prava žena.
Djevojčicama je bilo zabranjeno pohađati školu, a ženama sudjelovati u javnom životu. Iz kuće su mogle jedino potpuno pokrivene burkom i u pratnji muškog rođaka.
One koje su ta pravila prekršile žestoko su kažnjavali, uključujući i kamenovanje do smrti zbog preljuba.
Pomilovanje za sve
Talibani su objavili da je svima koji su se borili protiv njih sve oprošteno. To uključuje vladine dužnosnike, policajce i vojnike.
Pošto su amnestiju znali objavljivati i prije, mnogi su skeptični. Za vrijeme prve vladavine ubijali su političke, vjerske i civilne protivnike.
I posljednjih su mjeseci optuženi za ubijanje zarobljenika i civila.
Povjerenik UN-a za ljudska prava kaže da ima izvješća o mogućim ratnim zločinima.

Po osvajanju vlasti brzo su obećali stranim vladama i organizacijama da su njihova veleposlanstva, predstavništva i osoblje sigurni.
Jedan ruski diplomat izjavio je da je situacija bolja nego za prijašnje vladavine.
Talibani, međutim, imaju lošu reputaciju i kad je zaštita stranih misija i njihovih djelatnika u pitanju.
Godine 1996. upali su u prostorije UN-a gdje se bivši predsjednik Nadžibulah imao zajamčen izbjeglički status, izvukli ga van, ubili i tijelo mu objesili o stup.
Dvije godine posije u Mazar-i-Šarifu upali su u iranski konzulat i ubili devet diplomata i novinara.
Afganistan neće biti baza za napad na druge
Glavna točka američkog sporazuma o povlačenju potpisanog prošle godine s talibanima glasi da oni neće dopustiti da militantne skupine djeluju iz Afganistana.
Povod američke invazije na Afganistan bilo je odbijanje tadašnje talibanske vlasti da im predaju Osamu bin Ladena, vođu Al Kaide i organizatora napada 11. rujna 2001.
Talibani naglašavaju da će poštivati potpisano i da nisu prijetnja nijednoj drugoj naciji.
Posljednje izvješće Vijeća sigurnosti UN-a iz lipnja govori o tome da su talibani i ostaci Al Kaide u bliskim odnosima.
Nema više droge
Talibani obećavaju da će okončati industriju narkotika u Afganistanu, jednom od najvećih središta proizvodnje i krijumčarenja heroina.
To je, međutim, unosan posao, a veliko je pitanje hoće li talibanska vlada imati isti pristup financijskim institucijama i međunarodnoj pomoći kao što je imala prethodna.
Po izvješćima UN-a, talibani su prošle godine zaradili stotine milijuna dolara od trgovine drogom.
