Iran je od početka pandemije prvi put prešao granicu od 30.000 zaraženih u jednom danu, a novi rekord s više od 12 tisuća novih slučajeva potvrdio je i susjedni Irak što je najveći broj od početka pandemije koja je u svijetu odnijela dosad više od 4 milijuna života.
Iran je u ponedjeljak prvi put prešao granicu od 30.000 novozaraženih, objavilo je ministarstvo zdravstva manje od tjedan dana otkako je u utorak bio potvrđen prethodni rekord - 27.444.
U protekla 24 sata, Iran je potvrdio 31.814 novozaraženih, čime je ukupan broj dosegnuo 3.723.246.
Iransko ministarstvo je potvrdilo i 322 novih smrti povezanih s koronavirusom te je broj žrtava od početka pandemije narastao na 89.122.
Islamska Republika Iran najteže je zahvaćena pandemijom na Bliskom istoku te čak i vlasti priznaju da su službeni podaci jako podcijenjeni i stvarne brojke su veće.
Vlasti su 19. srpnja zatvorile javne službe i banke u Teheranu te u susjednoj pokrajini Alborz kako bi obuzdali širenje virusa, no Iran nije nikada od početka pandemije proglasio opće zatvaranje za svojih 84 milijuna stanovnika.
Već nekoliko tjedana Iran mukotrpno pokušava obuzdati širenje bolesti i navodi da je riječ o "petom valu".
Kampanja cijepljenja počela je u veljači, ali jako sporo napreduje. Tek nešto više od 8,1 milijun ljudi primilo je prvu dozu, a 2,4 milijuna obje, navelo je u ponedjeljak ministarstvo zdravstva.
U Iranu se cijepi dvama cjepivima proizvedenima u toj zemlji.
U protekla 24 sata potvrđeno je 12.180 novozaraženih, najviše od početka padnemije u ožujku 2020., objavilo je iračko ministarstvo zdravstva.
Više od 1,5 milijuna ljudi je zaraženo, a 18.347 umrlo je od posljedica u zemlji u kojoj je zdravstveni sustav gotovo na umoru, a stanovništvo skeptično prema cjepivima.
Današnji rekord "ne iznenađuje zbog nepoštivanja obveznih sanitarnih mjera i zabrane okupljanja", rekao je Saif al-Badr, glasnogovornik ministarstva zdravstva u Bagdadu.
"Porast je vjerojatno posljedica proslava Kurban bajrama i okupljanja unatoč upozorenjima ministarstva", rekao je.
Najveći porast je u iračkom Kurdistanu s više od 3.500, a to je dvostruko više od dnevnih brojki proteklih dana
Od 40 milijuna Iračana, tek nešto više od 1,3 milijuna je cijepljeno do danas.
Zdravstveni sustav izjeden korupcijom, godinama rata i sektaških sukoba ne uspijeva odgovoriti na pandemiju.
Dva smrtonosna požara u bolnici u Bagdadu s 80 mrtvih u travnju te u bolnici u gradu Nasiriji sredinom srpnja sa 60 mrtvih zorno pokazuju katastrofalno stanje bolnica i raspiruju gnjev stanovništva.

Iran je od početka pandemije prvi put prešao granicu od 30.000 zaraženih u jednom danu, a novi rekord s više od 12 tisuća novih slučajeva potvrdio je i susjedni Irak što je najveći broj od početka pandemije koja je u svijetu odnijela dosad više od 4 milijuna života.
Iran je u ponedjeljak prvi put prešao granicu od 30.000 novozaraženih, objavilo je ministarstvo zdravstva manje od tjedan dana otkako je u utorak bio potvrđen prethodni rekord - 27.444.
U protekla 24 sata, Iran je potvrdio 31.814 novozaraženih, čime je ukupan broj dosegnuo 3.723.246.
Iransko ministarstvo je potvrdilo i 322 novih smrti povezanih s koronavirusom te je broj žrtava od početka pandemije narastao na 89.122.
Islamska Republika Iran najteže je zahvaćena pandemijom na Bliskom istoku te čak i vlasti priznaju da su službeni podaci jako podcijenjeni i stvarne brojke su veće.
Vlasti su 19. srpnja zatvorile javne službe i banke u Teheranu te u susjednoj pokrajini Alborz kako bi obuzdali širenje virusa, no Iran nije nikada od početka pandemije proglasio opće zatvaranje za svojih 84 milijuna stanovnika.
Već nekoliko tjedana Iran mukotrpno pokušava obuzdati širenje bolesti i navodi da je riječ o "petom valu".
Kampanja cijepljenja počela je u veljači, ali jako sporo napreduje. Tek nešto više od 8,1 milijun ljudi primilo je prvu dozu, a 2,4 milijuna obje, navelo je u ponedjeljak ministarstvo zdravstva.
U Iranu se cijepi dvama cjepivima proizvedenima u toj zemlji.
U protekla 24 sata potvrđeno je 12.180 novozaraženih, najviše od početka padnemije u ožujku 2020., objavilo je iračko ministarstvo zdravstva.
Više od 1,5 milijuna ljudi je zaraženo, a 18.347 umrlo je od posljedica u zemlji u kojoj je zdravstveni sustav gotovo na umoru, a stanovništvo skeptično prema cjepivima.
Današnji rekord "ne iznenađuje zbog nepoštivanja obveznih sanitarnih mjera i zabrane okupljanja", rekao je Saif al-Badr, glasnogovornik ministarstva zdravstva u Bagdadu.
"Porast je vjerojatno posljedica proslava Kurban bajrama i okupljanja unatoč upozorenjima ministarstva", rekao je.
Najveći porast je u iračkom Kurdistanu s više od 3.500, a to je dvostruko više od dnevnih brojki proteklih dana
Od 40 milijuna Iračana, tek nešto više od 1,3 milijuna je cijepljeno do danas.
Zdravstveni sustav izjeden korupcijom, godinama rata i sektaških sukoba ne uspijeva odgovoriti na pandemiju.
Dva smrtonosna požara u bolnici u Bagdadu s 80 mrtvih u travnju te u bolnici u gradu Nasiriji sredinom srpnja sa 60 mrtvih zorno pokazuju katastrofalno stanje bolnica i raspiruju gnjev stanovništva.
