Vitamini su nam nužni kako bi bili zdravi i osjećali se dobro jer bez prave ravnoteže različitih vitamina možemo osjetiti neugodne, pa čak i iscrpljujuće simptome. Vitamine dobivamo jedući raznoliku prehranu temeljenu na povrću, voću, dobrim proteinima, cjelovitim žitaricama i zdravim mastima, a kada ne dobivamo iz hrane dovoljno vitamina možemo ih nadomjestiti dodacima prehrani. To je važno jer nedostatak nekih vitamina može dovesti do ozbiljnijih zdravstvenih problema. Primjerice, često smo skloni zanemariti važnost vitamina B12, koji je iznimno važan jer potiče pravilno funkcioniranje crvenih krvnih stanica. Njegov nedostatak dovodi do anemije, stoga je najbolje znakove nedostatka uočiti što prije i nadoknaditi ga. Mnogi simptomi poboljšavaju se liječenjem, ali, nažalost, neki problemi uzrokovani manjkom B12 mogu biti nepovratni, piše Živim.

Neki od najčešćih simptoma manjka B12 uključuju:

- ekstremni umor

- nedostatak energije

- slabost mišića

- probleme s pamćenjem, razumijevanjem i prosuđivanjem

- bolan i crven jezik

- čirevi na ustima

- poteškoće s vidom

- depresija i zbunjenost

Uz to, jedan se simptom, koji se javlja noću, sve češće prijavljuje i može ukazivati na nedostatak B12. To je noćno znojenje. Kanadsko je izvješće navelo iskustva ljudi koji su svi imali niske razine B12 i koji su prijavili toliko jako noćno znojenje da su trebali odmah mijenjati posteljinu.

- Znojenje je uključivalo samo gornji dio tijela od vrha glave do sredine prsa oko razine bradavica i činilo se da je lošije nakon konzumiranja alkohola - izjavio je jedan pacijent, kojemu je noćno znojenje trajalo tri, četiri godine. Drugi je, pak, izvijestio, da je epizode jakog noćnog znojenja doživljavao jedan do tri puta tjedno i trajale su 10 do 30 minuta tijekom deset godina. Također, 71-godišnja žena upućena je na procjenu ekstremnog umora, vrtoglavice i jakog znojenja u trajanju od nekoliko godina. Epizode znojenja bile su uglavnom noćne i ponekad bi zahtijevale promjenu plahti.

Osim kao dodatak prehrani vitamin B12 nalazi se mesu, ribi, mlijeku, jajima, siru, nekim obogaćenim žitaricama i proizvodima od kvasca., piše Živim.

Vitamini su nam nužni kako bi bili zdravi i osjećali se dobro jer bez prave ravnoteže različitih vitamina možemo osjetiti neugodne, pa čak i iscrpljujuće simptome. Vitamine dobivamo jedući raznoliku prehranu temeljenu na povrću, voću, dobrim proteinima, cjelovitim žitaricama i zdravim mastima, a kada ne dobivamo iz hrane dovoljno vitamina možemo ih nadomjestiti dodacima prehrani. To je važno jer nedostatak nekih vitamina može dovesti do ozbiljnijih zdravstvenih problema. Primjerice, često smo skloni zanemariti važnost vitamina B12, koji je iznimno važan jer potiče pravilno funkcioniranje crvenih krvnih stanica. Njegov nedostatak dovodi do anemije, stoga je najbolje znakove nedostatka uočiti što prije i nadoknaditi ga. Mnogi simptomi poboljšavaju se liječenjem, ali, nažalost, neki problemi uzrokovani manjkom B12 mogu biti nepovratni, piše Živim.

Neki od najčešćih simptoma manjka B12 uključuju:

- ekstremni umor

- nedostatak energije

- slabost mišića

- probleme s pamćenjem, razumijevanjem i prosuđivanjem

- bolan i crven jezik

- čirevi na ustima

- poteškoće s vidom

Uz to, jedan se simptom, koji se javlja noću, sve češće prijavljuje i može ukazivati na nedostatak B12. To je noćno znojenje. Kanadsko je izvješće navelo iskustva ljudi koji su svi imali niske razine B12 i koji su prijavili toliko jako noćno znojenje da su trebali odmah mijenjati posteljinu.

- Znojenje je uključivalo samo gornji dio tijela od vrha glave do sredine prsa oko razine bradavica i činilo se da je lošije nakon konzumiranja alkohola - izjavio je jedan pacijent, kojemu je noćno znojenje trajalo tri, četiri godine. Drugi je, pak, izvijestio, da je epizode jakog noćnog znojenja doživljavao jedan do tri puta tjedno i trajale su 10 do 30 minuta tijekom deset godina. Također, 71-godišnja žena upućena je na procjenu ekstremnog umora, vrtoglavice i jakog znojenja u trajanju od nekoliko godina. Epizode znojenja bile su uglavnom noćne i ponekad bi zahtijevale promjenu plahti.

Osim kao dodatak prehrani vitamin B12 nalazi se mesu, ribi, mlijeku, jajima, siru, nekim obogaćenim žitaricama i proizvodima od kvasca., piše Živim.

Vitamini su nam nužni kako bi bili zdravi i osjećali se dobro jer bez prave ravnoteže različitih vitamina možemo osjetiti neugodne, pa čak i iscrpljujuće simptome. Vitamine dobivamo jedući raznoliku prehranu temeljenu na povrću, voću, dobrim proteinima, cjelovitim žitaricama i zdravim mastima, a kada ne dobivamo iz hrane dovoljno vitamina možemo ih nadomjestiti dodacima prehrani. To je važno jer nedostatak nekih vitamina može dovesti do ozbiljnijih zdravstvenih problema. Primjerice, često smo skloni zanemariti važnost vitamina B12, koji je iznimno važan jer potiče pravilno funkcioniranje crvenih krvnih stanica.
