Sunce u Dalmaciji nam još uvijek daje dojam kako nije vrijeme za vrtne radove i borbu sa štetnicima i nametnicima na našim zelenim ljepoticama.
Još uživamo u svojim vrtovima misleći kako ima vremena, ali ako samo pogledate svoje buksuze ili šimšir, malo ih prodrmate ili zalijete jakim mlazom, iz njih će izletjeti mali 'nedužni' bijeli leptirići.
Da, smrtni neprijatelj preduvnih grmova već se naselio ili se naseljava u ono što se desetljećima uzgaja i njeguje, šimširov moljac opet hara vrtovima.
Prošle jeseni, baš negdje u ovo doba godine, stručnjaci su nas poučili da ništa nije izgubljeno, čak ni tada ako je šimširov moljac pojeo sve listiće na buksuzima. Uvijek ima nade za oporavak ove otporne grmolike biljke.
Tako i sada, dok leptirići traže idelano mjesto među šimširovim grančicama gdje će se zakukuljiti i pretvoriti u malu odvratnu proždrljivu zelenu gusjenicu, naoružajte se rukavicama, plastičnim vizirom (sada ih barem ima zbog korone), špricalicom i - otrovom.
U tjedan dana 'srede' stotine metara grmlja
U svakoj biljnoj apoteci će znati što je najbolje za uništavanje moljca, doduše, iskustva su različita, baš kao i cijene. Što je skuplje, ne mora značiti da je i bolje, a ovisi i u kojoj fazi razvoja su moljci u vašem vrtu.
Nešto ćete sigurno pronaći i valja vam odmah krenuti u bitku. Shvatite to ozbiljno, jer ako do sada već niste imali iskustva s ovim štetnikom, trebate znati da je šimširovu moljcu dovoljno tjedan dana da pobrsti stotine metara grmova.
U apotekama kažu, baš kao i ljudi s iskustvom u borbi protiv ovog štetnika, da svaki grm šimšira ili buksuza treba toliko temeljito poprskati otrovom da izgleda kao da ste ga okupali.

Za vrijeme prskanja treba paziti da ne puše nikakav vjetar i da nije kiša na pomolu. Važno je da se otrov zadrži na stabljici, ili stabalcu grmića. Savjetnici kažu kako otrov mora ući u samu biljku, jer jedino tako ona neće biti poželjna ovom štetočini.
Šimširov moljac razvije se u nekoliko generacija, pa je zato važno prskanje ponovno primijeniti nakon desetak dana do dva tjedna. Obično bi se to radilo u listopadu, ali izgleda da ćemo ove godine proces prskanja morati obaviti nešto ranije, što nije ni loše, jer još se nisu zaredale jesenske kiše.
Još je živa, ne treba odustati...
Ukoliko se vaši buksuzi još nisu oporavili od proljetne najezde šimširova moljca, nemojte još odustati. U Splitu, a zasigurno je tako i u ostalim mjestima, još se mogu vidjeti ogoljeni grmovi, a po njima tu i tamo pokoji listić.
To je dobar znak da je biljka još živa i da ne treba odustati. neki su odustali misleći da su se osušili grmovi, pa su ih iščupali, što je prava šteta znajući da grm šimšira ili buksuza raste deseteljećima, a u njegovu rastu najviše pridonosi strpljenje. Poslije će biljka uzvratiti pravom ljepotom.
Čak i ako je vaš buksuz 'na rubu života', nastavite s njegom. Uz svakodnevno zalijevanje, ovih dana se može i pognojiti umjetnim gnojivom baš za ovu vrstu grma.
Gnojidba se obavlja jednostavno, pospu se granule oko stabalca, a u kolikoj količini, pisat će na uputama.

Sunce u Dalmaciji nam još uvijek daje dojam kako nije vrijeme za vrtne radove i borbu sa štetnicima i nametnicima na našim zelenim ljepoticama.
Još uživamo u svojim vrtovima misleći kako ima vremena, ali ako samo pogledate svoje buksuze ili šimšir, malo ih prodrmate ili zalijete jakim mlazom, iz njih će izletjeti mali 'nedužni' bijeli leptirići.
Da, smrtni neprijatelj preduvnih grmova već se naselio ili se naseljava u ono što se desetljećima uzgaja i njeguje, šimširov moljac opet hara vrtovima.
Prošle jeseni, baš negdje u ovo doba godine, stručnjaci su nas poučili da ništa nije izgubljeno, čak ni tada ako je šimširov moljac pojeo sve listiće na buksuzima. Uvijek ima nade za oporavak ove otporne grmolike biljke.
Tako i sada, dok leptirići traže idelano mjesto među šimširovim grančicama gdje će se zakukuljiti i pretvoriti u malu odvratnu proždrljivu zelenu gusjenicu, naoružajte se rukavicama, plastičnim vizirom (sada ih barem ima zbog korone), špricalicom i - otrovom.
U tjedan dana 'srede' stotine metara grmlja
U svakoj biljnoj apoteci će znati što je najbolje za uništavanje moljca, doduše, iskustva su različita, baš kao i cijene. Što je skuplje, ne mora značiti da je i bolje, a ovisi i u kojoj fazi razvoja su moljci u vašem vrtu.
Nešto ćete sigurno pronaći i valja vam odmah krenuti u bitku. Shvatite to ozbiljno, jer ako do sada već niste imali iskustva s ovim štetnikom, trebate znati da je šimširovu moljcu dovoljno tjedan dana da pobrsti stotine metara grmova.
U apotekama kažu, baš kao i ljudi s iskustvom u borbi protiv ovog štetnika, da svaki grm šimšira ili buksuza treba toliko temeljito poprskati otrovom da izgleda kao da ste ga okupali.

Za vrijeme prskanja treba paziti da ne puše nikakav vjetar i da nije kiša na pomolu. Važno je da se otrov zadrži na stabljici, ili stabalcu grmića. Savjetnici kažu kako otrov mora ući u samu biljku, jer jedino tako ona neće biti poželjna ovom štetočini.
Šimširov moljac razvije se u nekoliko generacija, pa je zato važno prskanje ponovno primijeniti nakon desetak dana do dva tjedna. Obično bi se to radilo u listopadu, ali izgleda da ćemo ove godine proces prskanja morati obaviti nešto ranije, što nije ni loše, jer još se nisu zaredale jesenske kiše.
Još je živa, ne treba odustati...
Ukoliko se vaši buksuzi još nisu oporavili od proljetne najezde šimširova moljca, nemojte još odustati. U Splitu, a zasigurno je tako i u ostalim mjestima, još se mogu vidjeti ogoljeni grmovi, a po njima tu i tamo pokoji listić.
To je dobar znak da je biljka još živa i da ne treba odustati. neki su odustali misleći da su se osušili grmovi, pa su ih iščupali, što je prava šteta znajući da grm šimšira ili buksuza raste deseteljećima, a u njegovu rastu najviše pridonosi strpljenje. Poslije će biljka uzvratiti pravom ljepotom.
Čak i ako je vaš buksuz 'na rubu života', nastavite s njegom. Uz svakodnevno zalijevanje, ovih dana se može i pognojiti umjetnim gnojivom baš za ovu vrstu grma.
Gnojidba se obavlja jednostavno, pospu se granule oko stabalca, a u kolikoj količini, pisat će na uputama.
