Uz brojne probleme s kojima se cijeli svijet suočava zbog pandemije koronavirusa, a Europa i s isporukom cjepiva, ipak svakim danom mislimo da će uskoro sve završiti i ponovo biti "staro normalno". Ali sad se, nažalost, sve ćešće govori i o novim sojevima virusa. Britanski je otkriven u prosincu, ali otkriveno je i da taj britanski soj ima mutaciju koja je došla iz južnoafričkog soja, piše hrt.hr.

Profesor molekularne medicine sa Sveučilišta u Oxfordu Kristijan Ramadan rekao je da ima mnogo sojeva koronavirusa, te da se u Engleskoj u prosincu 2020. pojavio britanski soj koji je postao dominantan i koji se širi 30-50 posto brže što ima za posljedicu veći broj oboljelih i hospitaliziranih. 

- Također, otkriven je i supersoj koji uz britanski ima južnoafričku mutaciju, ali na sreću nije se proširio jer je u Britaniji 'lockdown', ali i Britanija je rano počela sa cijepljenjem. 

Na pitanje hoće li cjepiva moći pravovaljano odgovoriti na nove mutacije Ramadan je rekao kako se toga na trebamo plašiti, ali da moramo biti oprezni i spriječiti širenje virus što je više moguće, jer što se on brže širi to je mogućnost stvaranja novih mutacija veća. 

- Znanstvena istraživanja koja su potvrđena pokazuju da je naš imuni odgovor kompleksan i da ne ovisi samo o antitijelima koja su stvorena već da imamo i staničnu imunost, tako da rezultati pokazuju da će virus i mutirani sojevi biti dobro prepoznati s imunim odgovorom koji će izazvati cjepiva. Možda se neće potpuno neutralizirati, što znači da ćemo se možda i zaraziti, ali ćemo se moći obraniti od težih oboljenja.

Kad je riječ o cjepivima, rekao je da su sva odobrena cjepiva vrlo dobra i da nas štite 100 posto od težih oboljenja, smrti i hospitalizacije. 

- Cjepiva koja se sada rade rade se posljednjih 20 godina. Cjepiva s  informacijskom RNK prvi put je na miševima primijenjeno prije 30 godina. Ova cjepiva su vrlo dobro izučena, znamo mehanizme i slična cjepiva su bila korištena u kliničkim ispitivanjima 2012. godina kad je bila pandemija slična koronavirusu, MRSA, koja se na sreću nije proširio. Zato je ovo cjepivo brzo napravljeno jer smo imali postavljenu cijelu tehnologiju i znali smo da takva cjepiva neće uzrokovati nikakve nuspojave.

Uz brojne probleme s kojima se cijeli svijet suočava zbog pandemije koronavirusa, a Europa i s isporukom cjepiva, ipak svakim danom mislimo da će uskoro sve završiti i ponovo biti "staro normalno". Ali sad se, nažalost, sve ćešće govori i o novim sojevima virusa. Britanski je otkriven u prosincu, ali otkriveno je i da taj britanski soj ima mutaciju koja je došla iz južnoafričkog soja, piše hrt.hr.

Profesor molekularne medicine sa Sveučilišta u Oxfordu Kristijan Ramadan rekao je da ima mnogo sojeva koronavirusa, te da se u Engleskoj u prosincu 2020. pojavio britanski soj koji je postao dominantan i koji se širi 30-50 posto brže što ima za posljedicu veći broj oboljelih i hospitaliziranih. 

- Također, otkriven je i supersoj koji uz britanski ima južnoafričku mutaciju, ali na sreću nije se proširio jer je u Britaniji 'lockdown', ali i Britanija je rano počela sa cijepljenjem. 

Na pitanje hoće li cjepiva moći pravovaljano odgovoriti na nove mutacije Ramadan je rekao kako se toga na trebamo plašiti, ali da moramo biti oprezni i spriječiti širenje virus što je više moguće, jer što se on brže širi to je mogućnost stvaranja novih mutacija veća. 

- Znanstvena istraživanja koja su potvrđena pokazuju da je naš imuni odgovor kompleksan i da ne ovisi samo o antitijelima koja su stvorena već da imamo i staničnu imunost, tako da rezultati pokazuju da će virus i mutirani sojevi biti dobro prepoznati s imunim odgovorom koji će izazvati cjepiva. Možda se neće potpuno neutralizirati, što znači da ćemo se možda i zaraziti, ali ćemo se moći obraniti od težih oboljenja.

Kad je riječ o cjepivima, rekao je da su sva odobrena cjepiva vrlo dobra i da nas štite 100 posto od težih oboljenja, smrti i hospitalizacije. 

- Cjepiva koja se sada rade rade se posljednjih 20 godina. Cjepiva s  informacijskom RNK prvi put je na miševima primijenjeno prije 30 godina. Ova cjepiva su vrlo dobro izučena, znamo mehanizme i slična cjepiva su bila korištena u kliničkim ispitivanjima 2012. godina kad je bila pandemija slična koronavirusu, MRSA, koja se na sreću nije proširio. Zato je ovo cjepivo brzo napravljeno jer smo imali postavljenu cijelu tehnologiju i znali smo da takva cjepiva neće uzrokovati nikakve nuspojave.

Uz brojne probleme s kojima se cijeli svijet suočava zbog pandemije koronavirusa, a Europa i s isporukom cjepiva, ipak svakim danom mislimo da će uskoro sve završiti i ponovo biti "staro normalno". Ali sad se, nažalost, sve ćešće govori i o novim sojevima virusa. Britanski je otkriven u prosincu, ali otkriveno je i da taj britanski soj ima mutaciju koja je došla iz južnoafričkog soja, piše hrt.hr.

Profesor molekularne medicine sa Sveučilišta u Oxfordu Kristijan Ramadan rekao je da ima mnogo sojeva koronavirusa, te da se u Engleskoj u prosincu 2020. pojavio britanski soj koji je postao dominantan i koji se širi 30-50 posto brže što ima za posljedicu veći broj oboljelih i hospitaliziranih. 

- Također, otkriven je i supersoj koji uz britanski ima južnoafričku...
