Krajem 2023. godine Hrvatskoj susjedna Mađarska dobila je sjajnu vijest za svoju ekonomiju. Najveći kineski proizvođač automobila BYD objavio je da planira izgraditi svoju prvu europsku tvornicu automobila upravo u Mađarskoj. Tako će naš sjeverni susjed dobiti šestu tvornicu automobila.

Mađarski ministar vanjskih poslova Peter Szijjarto izjavio je da je 2023. godina bila rekordna po stranim ulaganjima, radi se o čak 13 milijardi eura, koja će otvoriti novih 19 000 radnih mjesta. Svoju domovinu je Szijjarto proglasio pobjednikom nove ere globalne ekonomije koju će definirati industrija električnih automobila. Iako u mađarskoj ekonomiji ne stoji sve tako bajno kako bi njeni političari voljeli da bude, strane investicije sigurno će pomoći njenom oporavku. Novost je da je najveći strani ulagač u mađarsku ekonomiju prošle godine bila Kina.

Ali najveći zgoditak u kinesko-mađarskoj ekonomskoj suradnji će tek biti postignut. Predstavnici BYD-a, između Francuske, Njemačke i Mađarske, odlučili su se za prijateljski nastrojenu Mađarsku. Nakon 224 runde pregovora s mađarskom agencijom za investicije odlučeno je da će tvornica biti otvorena u gradu Szegedu. Prethodno je Orbanova vlada osigurala novac potreban za cestovnu, željezničku, električnu i plinsku infrastrukturu za budući industrijski park u Szegedu. BYD-ova tvornica u Mađarskoj će proizvoditi električna vozila i plug-in hibride za tržište Europske unije. Osim što će izbjeći potencijalne nove carinske namete Europske unije, kineski proizvođač će snažnim prodorom na europsko tržište smanjiti ovisnost o domaćem, kineskom tržištu.

BYD je osnovan 1995. godine u gradu Shenzhenu, osnovan je s 20 zaposlenih i osnovnim kapitalom od 2 i pol milijuna kineskih juana, odnosno 351.994 američkih dolara. U svojim počecima bavio se proizvodnjom baterija za mobitele, da bi 2003. godine kupio malog kineskog proizvođača automobila. Dvije godine kasnije lansirao je svoj prvi automobil pod nazivom F3. 2008 godine je lansirao F3DM, plug-in hibridno električno vozilo. Nepunih dva desetljeća kasnije, BYD je postao globalni proizvođač električnih automobila. 2011. godine Elon Musk, vlasnik Tesle, se smijao na novinarsko pitanje o eventualnoj konkurentnosti kineskog BYD-a. Danas je ovaj kineski proizvođač električnih automobila prestigao Teslu.

Odluci kineskog automobilskog diva sigurno je kumovala geografska pozicija Mađarske koje se nalazi blizu najvećeg europskog proizvođača automobila Njemačke, koja je ujedno i najmnogoljudnija europska država što hoće reći i najveće tržište. Ali to nije sve. Još od pada komunizma u Mađarsku su se slile investicije njemačkih i južnokorejskih proizvođača automobila. Trend nastavljaju i sve brojniji proizvođači električnih automobila. CATL, Kineski proizvođač baterija, uložila je 7.3 milijardi eura u izgradnju najveće tvornice baterija za automobile u Europi koja se nalazi u mađarskom gradu Debrecenu.
Osim pukog ekonomskog interesa, svojstvenog svakom međudržavnom odnosu, kineske investicije rezultat su i specijalnih veza koje mađarski premijer Viktor Orban održava s kineskim režimom. Mađarska ne dijeli skepsu većine europskih država prema kineskim ulaganjima, a u kontekstu sve većih političkih trzavica. Očito, ne na svoju štetu. Kina je blizu, naslov je jednog talijanskog filma iz 1967. godine. Ako to 2024. godine i dalje nije geografska, svakako je ekonomska istina.

Krajem 2023. godine Hrvatskoj susjedna Mađarska dobila je sjajnu vijest za svoju ekonomiju. Najveći kineski proizvođač automobila BYD objavio je da planira izgraditi svoju prvu europsku tvornicu automobila upravo u Mađarskoj. Tako će naš sjeverni susjed dobiti šestu tvornicu automobila.

Mađarski ministar vanjskih poslova Peter Szijjarto izjavio je da je 2023. godina bila rekordna po stranim ulaganjima, radi se o čak 13 milijardi eura, koja će otvoriti novih 19 000 radnih mjesta. Svoju domovinu je Szijjarto proglasio pobjednikom nove ere globalne ekonomije koju će definirati industrija električnih automobila. Iako u mađarskoj ekonomiji ne stoji sve tako bajno kako bi njeni političari voljeli da bude, strane investicije sigurno će pomoći njenom oporavku. Novost je da je najveći strani ulagač u mađarsku ekonomiju prošle godine bila Kina.

Ali najveći zgoditak u kinesko-mađarskoj ekonomskoj suradnji će tek biti postignut. Predstavnici BYD-a, između Francuske, Njemačke i Mađarske, odlučili su se za prijateljski nastrojenu Mađarsku. Nakon 224 runde pregovora s mađarskom agencijom za investicije odlučeno je da će tvornica biti otvorena u gradu Szegedu. Prethodno je Orbanova vlada osigurala novac potreban za cestovnu, željezničku, električnu i plinsku infrastrukturu za budući industrijski park u Szegedu. BYD-ova tvornica u Mađarskoj će proizvoditi električna vozila i plug-in hibride za tržište Europske unije. Osim što će izbjeći potencijalne nove carinske namete Europske unije, kineski proizvođač će snažnim prodorom na europsko tržište smanjiti ovisnost o domaćem, kineskom tržištu.

BYD je osnovan 1995. godine u gradu Shenzhenu, osnovan je s 20 zaposlenih i osnovnim kapitalom od 2 i pol milijuna kineskih juana, odnosno 351.994 američkih dolara. U svojim počecima bavio se proizvodnjom baterija za mobitele, da bi 2003. godine kupio malog kineskog proizvođača automobila. Dvije godine kasnije lansirao je svoj prvi automobil pod nazivom F3. 2008 godine je lansirao F3DM, plug-in hibridno električno vozilo. Nepunih dva desetljeća kasnije, BYD je postao globalni proizvođač električnih automobila. 2011. godine Elon Musk, vlasnik Tesle, se smijao na novinarsko pitanje o eventualnoj konkurentnosti kineskog BYD-a. Danas je ovaj kineski proizvođač električnih automobila prestigao Teslu.

Odluci kineskog automobilskog diva sigurno je kumovala geografska pozicija Mađarske koje se nalazi blizu najvećeg europskog proizvođača automobila Njemačke, koja je ujedno i najmnogoljudnija europska država što hoće reći i najveće tržište. Ali to nije sve. Još od pada komunizma u Mađarsku su se slile investicije njemačkih i južnokorejskih proizvođača automobila. Trend nastavljaju i sve brojniji proizvođači električnih automobila. CATL, Kineski proizvođač baterija, uložila je 7.3 milijardi eura u izgradnju najveće tvornice baterija za automobile u Europi koja se nalazi u mađarskom gradu Debrecenu.
Osim pukog ekonomskog interesa, svojstvenog svakom međudržavnom odnosu, kineske investicije rezultat su i specijalnih veza koje mađarski premijer Viktor Orban održava s kineskim režimom. Mađarska ne dijeli skepsu većine europskih država prema kineskim ulaganjima, a u kontekstu sve većih političkih trzavica. Očito, ne na svoju štetu. Kina je blizu, naslov je jednog talijanskog filma iz 1967. godine. Ako to 2024. godine i dalje nije geografska, svakako je ekonomska istina.
