Tenk Strv 122 švedska je modifikacija njemačkog Leoparda 2A5 i jedan je od najbolje zaštićenih tenkova na čitavoj ukrajinskoj bojišnici. Upravo zbog toga Rusi su jedva dočekali priliku da se pokušaju dočepati barem jednog, više zbog toga da bi se time pohvalili u propagandne svrhe nego što bi analizirali njegove komponente.  

Umalo im se posrećilo, međutim plan su Putinovim momcima pokvarili ukrajinski piloti dronova.

Analitičar Forbesa podsjeća kako je Švedska Ukrajini donirala deset ovakvih tenkova, a svi su dodijeljeni 21. mehaniziranoj brigadi ukrajinske vojske koja štiti jedan od sektora na istoku zemlje, oko kreminske šume. Tenk je težak 69 tona, ima debelo oklopljene kupole i top od 120 milimetara s glatkom cijevi. U žestokim borbama, brigada je pretrpjela silno puno napada i izgubila je najmanje jedan Strv 122.

Stručnjaci Oryxa navode kako ih je još šest oštećeno, a brigada je privremeno napustila tih pet oštećenih tenkova na cestama i poljima oko Kremine. Uobičajena je praksa da ukrajinski inženjeri otegle oštećene tenkove i pošalju ih u Litvu na popravak. Najbrži način na koji Rusi pak mogu zaplijeniti Strv 122 jest da ga u brzoj akciji, imobiliziraju i odvuku prije nego do njega stignu ukrajinski inženjeri. Rusi su za to dobili priliku kad je FPV dron, 10. ožujka pogodio Strv 122, kilometar i pol istočno od glavnog garnizona 21. brigade u Terniju. Posada tenka uspjela je pobjeći, a oštećeni tenk ostao je napušten.

Ubrzo su dojurila dva ruska  vozila BREM i počela odvlačiti tenk prema ruskim položajima udaljenim kilometar i pol.

Prešli su pola te udaljenosti, no onda ih je primijetila ukrajinska 3. jurišna brigada, koja se inače bori oko Avdiivke te je jedan od svojih timova za dronove poslala u pomoć 21. brigadi. Piloti dronova 3. jurišne brigade bespilotnim letjelicama prvo su ciljali vodeći BREM, kružeći kvadrokopterom oko vozila teškog 45 tona sve dok dva FPV-a natovarena eksplozivom nisu postigla precizan pogodak u BREM-ov stražnji dizelski motor. Treći je dron pogodio drugo vozilo, a četvrti kružio - oko sada već nepokretnih ruskih vozila - promatrajući i snimajući štetu. Rusi nisu daleko dospjeli sa svojom nagradom: možda su prešli tek pola ničije zemlje koja razdvaja ukrajinske i ruske položaje istočno od Ternija.

Moguće je da 21. brigada namjerava vratiti Strv 122. Snimka, naime, pokazuje kako su dronovi 12. brigade gađali ruske BREM-ove koji su vukli Strv 122, ali su se potrudili da ne pogode sam tenk. Ruski neuspjeli pokušaj da se dočepaju tenka pokazuje koliko ovakve operacije mogu biti riskantne. I Ukrajinci su također izgubili BREM kad su u prosincu pokušavali vratiti oštećeni Strv 122.

Tenk Strv 122 švedska je modifikacija njemačkog Leoparda 2A5 i jedan je od najbolje zaštićenih tenkova na čitavoj ukrajinskoj bojišnici. Upravo zbog toga Rusi su jedva dočekali priliku da se pokušaju dočepati barem jednog, više zbog toga da bi se time pohvalili u propagandne svrhe nego što bi analizirali njegove komponente.  

Umalo im se posrećilo, međutim plan su Putinovim momcima pokvarili ukrajinski piloti dronova.

Analitičar Forbesa podsjeća kako je Švedska Ukrajini donirala deset ovakvih tenkova, a svi su dodijeljeni 21. mehaniziranoj brigadi ukrajinske vojske koja štiti jedan od sektora na istoku zemlje, oko kreminske šume. Tenk je težak 69 tona, ima debelo oklopljene kupole i top od 120 milimetara s glatkom cijevi. U žestokim borbama, brigada je pretrpjela silno puno napada i izgubila je najmanje jedan Strv 122.

Stručnjaci Oryxa navode kako ih je još šest oštećeno, a brigada je privremeno napustila tih pet oštećenih tenkova na cestama i poljima oko Kremine. Uobičajena je praksa da ukrajinski inženjeri otegle oštećene tenkove i pošalju ih u Litvu na popravak. Najbrži način na koji Rusi pak mogu zaplijeniti Strv 122 jest da ga u brzoj akciji, imobiliziraju i odvuku prije nego do njega stignu ukrajinski inženjeri. Rusi su za to dobili priliku kad je FPV dron, 10. ožujka pogodio Strv 122, kilometar i pol istočno od glavnog garnizona 21. brigade u Terniju. Posada tenka uspjela je pobjeći, a oštećeni tenk ostao je napušten.

Ubrzo su dojurila dva ruska  vozila BREM i počela odvlačiti tenk prema ruskim položajima udaljenim kilometar i pol.

Prešli su pola te udaljenosti, no onda ih je primijetila ukrajinska 3. jurišna brigada, koja se inače bori oko Avdiivke te je jedan od svojih timova za dronove poslala u pomoć 21. brigadi. Piloti dronova 3. jurišne brigade bespilotnim letjelicama prvo su ciljali vodeći BREM, kružeći kvadrokopterom oko vozila teškog 45 tona sve dok dva FPV-a natovarena eksplozivom nisu postigla precizan pogodak u BREM-ov stražnji dizelski motor. Treći je dron pogodio drugo vozilo, a četvrti kružio - oko sada već nepokretnih ruskih vozila - promatrajući i snimajući štetu. Rusi nisu daleko dospjeli sa svojom nagradom: možda su prešli tek pola ničije zemlje koja razdvaja ukrajinske i ruske položaje istočno od Ternija.

Moguće je da 21. brigada namjerava vratiti Strv 122. Snimka, naime, pokazuje kako su dronovi 12. brigade gađali ruske BREM-ove koji su vukli Strv 122, ali su se potrudili da ne pogode sam tenk. Ruski neuspjeli pokušaj da se dočepaju tenka pokazuje koliko ovakve operacije mogu biti riskantne. I Ukrajinci su također izgubili BREM kad su u prosincu pokušavali vratiti oštećeni Strv 122.

Tenk Strv 122 švedska je modifikacija njemačkog Leoparda 2A5 i jedan je od najbolje zaštićenih tenkova na čitavoj ukrajinskoj bojišnici. Upravo zbog toga Rusi su jedva dočekali priliku da se pokušaju dočepati barem jednog, više zbog toga da bi se time pohvalili u propagandne svrhe nego što bi analizirali njegove komponente.  

Umalo im se posrećilo, međutim plan su Putinovim momcima pokvarili ukrajinski piloti dronova.

Analitičar Forbesa podsjeća kako je Švedska Ukrajini donirala deset ovakvih tenkova, a svi su dodijeljeni 21. mehaniziranoj brigadi ukrajinske vojske koja štiti jedan od sektora na istoku zemlje, oko kreminske šume. Tenk je težak 69 tona, ima debelo oklopljene kupole i top od 120 milimetara s glatkom cijevi. U žestokim borbama, brigada je pretrpjela silno puno napada i izgubila je najmanje jedan Strv 122.
