Majka Tetsuya Yamagami (41) optuženog za ubojstvo bivšeg japanskog premijera Shinza Abea članica je Crkve ujedinjenja, poznatije kao Moonova sekta, koju je on naveo kao motiv za taj smrtonosni napad.

Crkva, čiji su članovi kolokvijalno poznati kao Moonies, potvrdila je na tiskovnoj konferenciji u ponedjeljak da majka Tetsuye Yamagamija, dolazi na sastanke otprilike jednom mjesečno, piše Guardian.

Napadač je naveo da je bivšeg premijera ubio zbog osvete prema sekti jer je smatrao da je Abe povezan s njom. Yamagami krivi vjersku sektu za bankrot svoje obitelji. Rekao je, naime, da je njegova majka dala ogromnu donaciju crkvi prije više od 20 godina i da je time naštetila obiteljskim financijama.

Tomihiro Tamaka, šef japanskog ogranka Crkve ujedinjenja, kaže da je njegova organizacija užasnuta ubojstvom Abea koji nikada nije bio jedan od njihovih članova.

"Napadačeva majka pridružila se crkvi 1998., a saznali smo da je zapala u financijske teškoće oko 2002. Nisu nam poznate okolnosti koje su dovele do bankrota obitelji Yamagami. Donacije se daju dobrovoljno", rekao je Tamaka, prenosi Guardian..

Abeov djed po majci, Nobusuke Kishi, koji je bio premijer od 1957. do 1960., navodno je bio uključen u osnivanje političke skupine povezane s Crkvom ujedinjenja. Crkva je s njim dijelila antikomunističke stavove. 

Novinska agencija Kyodo, pozivajući se na izvore iz istrage, rekla je da je Yamagami razvio duboku ogorčenost prema Kishiju koju je usmjerio prema Abeu.

Majka Tetsuya Yamagami (41) optuženog za ubojstvo bivšeg japanskog premijera Shinza Abea članica je Crkve ujedinjenja, poznatije kao Moonova sekta, koju je on naveo kao motiv za taj smrtonosni napad.

Crkva, čiji su članovi kolokvijalno poznati kao Moonies, potvrdila je na tiskovnoj konferenciji u ponedjeljak da majka Tetsuye Yamagamija, dolazi na sastanke otprilike jednom mjesečno, piše Guardian.

Napadač je naveo da je bivšeg premijera ubio zbog osvete prema sekti jer je smatrao da je Abe povezan s njom. Yamagami krivi vjersku sektu za bankrot svoje obitelji. Rekao je, naime, da je njegova majka dala ogromnu donaciju crkvi prije više od 20 godina i da je time naštetila obiteljskim financijama.

Tomihiro Tamaka, šef japanskog ogranka Crkve ujedinjenja, kaže da je njegova organizacija užasnuta ubojstvom Abea koji nikada nije bio jedan od njihovih članova.

"Napadačeva majka pridružila se crkvi 1998., a saznali smo da je zapala u financijske teškoće oko 2002. Nisu nam poznate okolnosti koje su dovele do bankrota obitelji Yamagami. Donacije se daju dobrovoljno", rekao je Tamaka, prenosi Guardian..

Abeov djed po majci, Nobusuke Kishi, koji je bio premijer od 1957. do 1960., navodno je bio uključen u osnivanje političke skupine povezane s Crkvom ujedinjenja. Crkva je s njim dijelila antikomunističke stavove. 

Novinska agencija Kyodo, pozivajući se na izvore iz istrage, rekla je da je Yamagami razvio duboku ogorčenost prema Kishiju koju je usmjerio prema Abeu.

Majka Tetsuya Yamagami (41) optuženog za ubojstvo bivšeg japanskog premijera Shinza Abea članica je Crkve ujedinjenja, poznatije kao Moonova sekta, koju je on naveo kao motiv za taj smrtonosni napad.

Crkva, čiji su članovi kolokvijalno poznati kao Moonies, potvrdila je na tiskovnoj konferenciji u ponedjeljak da majka Tetsuye Yamagamija, dolazi na sastanke otprilike jednom mjesečno, piše Guardian.

Napadač je naveo da je bivšeg premijera ubio zbog osvete prema sekti jer je smatrao da je Abe povezan s njom. Yamagami krivi vjersku sektu za bankrot svoje obitelji. Rekao je, naime, da je njegova majka dala ogromnu donaciju crkvi prije više od 20 godina i da je time naštetila obiteljskim financijama.
