Američka Agencija za nacionalnu sigurnost (NSA) koristila je partnerstvo s odjelom danske tajne službe za špijuniranje visokih dužnosnika susjednih zemalja, uključujući njemačku kancelarku Angelu Merkel, izvijestila je danska državna televizija DR.

Otkrića su rezultat interne istrage danske obavještajne službe iz 2015. godine o ulozi NSA-e u partnerstvu, objavio je DR pozivajući se na devet neimenovanih izvora upoznatih s istragom.

Prema istrazi koja je obuhvaćala 2012. i 2014., NSA je pomoću danskih informatičkih kablova špijunirala visoke dužnosnike u Švedskoj, Norveškoj, Francuskoj i Njemačkoj, uključujući bivšega njemačkog ministra vanjskih poslova Frank-Waltera Steinmeiera i bivšega njemačkog oporbenog čelnika Peera Steinbruecka.

Na teritoriju Danske, koja je bliski saveznik Sjedinjenih Država, nekoliko je ključnih postaja za podmorske internetske kablove od i do Švedske, Norveške, Njemačke, Nizozemske i Velike Britanije.

Interna istraga u danskoj obrambenoj obavještajnoj službi pokrenuta je 2014. godine zbog zabrinutosti oko Edwarda Snowdena i curenja podataka prethodne godine, te je u njoj otkriveno kako NSA djeluje, navodi DR.

U Washingtonu, NSA nije odmah odgovorio na zahtjev za komentar, a ured ravnatelja Nacionalne obavještajne službe (DNI) odbio je komentirati. Glasnogovornik danske obavještajne službe odbio je komentirati.

"Groteskno je što prijateljske obavještajne službe doista presreću i špijuniraju vodeće predstavnike drugih zemalja", rekao je Steinbrueck za njemačku televiziju ARD. "Smatram da je to u političkom smislu skandal", dodao je.

Švedski ministar obrane Peter Hultqvist rekao je za švedsku mrežu SVT da "o tome zahtijeva potpune informacije". Norveški ministar obrane Frank Bakke-Jensen rekao je za televiziju NRK da "optužbe moraju shvatiti ozbiljno".

Odluka u kolovozu prošle godine o suspenziji šefa danske obavještajne službe i još trojice dužnosnika s njihovih mjesta nakon kritika i optužbi za ozbiljne prekršaje neovisnog odbora koji je nadzirao odjel, usredotočena je na istragu iz 2015., prenosi DR.

Danska je vlada prošle godine objavila da će pokrenuti istragu cijelog slučaja na temelju podataka iz izvješća zviždača. Očekuje se da će ta istraga biti završena kasnije ove godine.

Američka Agencija za nacionalnu sigurnost (NSA) koristila je partnerstvo s odjelom danske tajne službe za špijuniranje visokih dužnosnika susjednih zemalja, uključujući njemačku kancelarku Angelu Merkel, izvijestila je danska državna televizija DR.

Otkrića su rezultat interne istrage danske obavještajne službe iz 2015. godine o ulozi NSA-e u partnerstvu, objavio je DR pozivajući se na devet neimenovanih izvora upoznatih s istragom.

Prema istrazi koja je obuhvaćala 2012. i 2014., NSA je pomoću danskih informatičkih kablova špijunirala visoke dužnosnike u Švedskoj, Norveškoj, Francuskoj i Njemačkoj, uključujući bivšega njemačkog ministra vanjskih poslova Frank-Waltera Steinmeiera i bivšega njemačkog oporbenog čelnika Peera Steinbruecka.

Na teritoriju Danske, koja je bliski saveznik Sjedinjenih Država, nekoliko je ključnih postaja za podmorske internetske kablove od i do Švedske, Norveške, Njemačke, Nizozemske i Velike Britanije.

Interna istraga u danskoj obrambenoj obavještajnoj službi pokrenuta je 2014. godine zbog zabrinutosti oko Edwarda Snowdena i curenja podataka prethodne godine, te je u njoj otkriveno kako NSA djeluje, navodi DR.

U Washingtonu, NSA nije odmah odgovorio na zahtjev za komentar, a ured ravnatelja Nacionalne obavještajne službe (DNI) odbio je komentirati. Glasnogovornik danske obavještajne službe odbio je komentirati.

"Groteskno je što prijateljske obavještajne službe doista presreću i špijuniraju vodeće predstavnike drugih zemalja", rekao je Steinbrueck za njemačku televiziju ARD. "Smatram da je to u političkom smislu skandal", dodao je.

Švedski ministar obrane Peter Hultqvist rekao je za švedsku mrežu SVT da "o tome zahtijeva potpune informacije". Norveški ministar obrane Frank Bakke-Jensen rekao je za televiziju NRK da "optužbe moraju shvatiti ozbiljno".

Odluka u kolovozu prošle godine o suspenziji šefa danske obavještajne službe i još trojice dužnosnika s njihovih mjesta nakon kritika i optužbi za ozbiljne prekršaje neovisnog odbora koji je nadzirao odjel, usredotočena je na istragu iz 2015., prenosi DR.

Danska je vlada prošle godine objavila da će pokrenuti istragu cijelog slučaja na temelju podataka iz izvješća zviždača. Očekuje se da će ta istraga biti završena kasnije ove godine.

Otkriven politički skandal: Amerikanci preko danskih kablova špijunirali europske visoke dužnosnike, uključujući Angelu Merkel

Američka Agencija za nacionalnu sigurnost (NSA) koristila je partnerstvo s odjelom danske tajne službe za špijuniranje visokih dužnosnika susjednih zemalja, uključujući njemačku kancelarku Angelu Merkel, izvijestila je danska državna televizija DR.

Otkrića su rezultat interne istrage danske obavještajne službe iz 2015. godine o ulozi NSA-e u partnerstvu, objavio je DR pozivajući se na devet neimenovanih izvora upoznatih s istragom.

Prema istrazi koja je obuhvaćala 2012. i 2014., NSA je pomoću danskih informatičkih kablova špijunirala visoke dužnosnike u Švedskoj, Norveškoj, Francuskoj i Njemačkoj, uključujući bivšega njemačkog ministra vanjskih poslova Frank-Waltera Steinmeiera i bivšega njemačkog oporbenog čelnika Peera Steinbruecka.
