Kina će vjerojatno više nego utrostručiti svoj nuklearni arsenal do 2035. kada će imati 1500 nuklearnih bojnih glava, objavio je Pentagon u utorak u izvješću u kojem se ističe stalno poboljšanje kineskih zračnih snaga.

Ta brojka naglašava sve veću zabrinutost Sjedinjenih Američkih Država o namjerama Kine da proširi svoj nuklearni arsenal iako predviđanja ne pokazuju da se ubrzava ionako hitar kineski razvoj bojnih glava.

"Nagomilavanje je brzo i suviše veliko da bi se prikrilo. Nameće se pitanje odmiču li se (Kinezi) od strategije koju su nazvali učinkovitim odvraćanjem", rekao je viši američki obrambeni dužnosnik na brifingu za novinare o Pentagonovom godišnjem izvješću o kineskoj vojsci.

Izvješće, koje se uglavnom temelji na analizi iz 2021. godine, kaže da Kina trenutno u svojim skladištima ima više od 400 bojnih glava.

Pentagon predviđa da će se kineski nuklearni arsenal do 2030. godine sastojati od 1.000 bojnih glava, a projekcija za 2035. temelji se na ujednačenom razvojnom tempu.

Kina tvrdi da je njezin arsenal minoran u usporedbi s američkim ili ruskim i da je spremna za dijalog, no jedino ako Washington smanji količinu vlastitog nuklearnog naoružanja na kinesku razinu.

SAD posjeduje otprilike 3.700 nuklearnih bojnih glava, od kojih je raspoređeno oko 1.740, prema Štokholmskom međunarodnom institutu za mirovna istraživanja.

Kineski vođa Xi Jinping je tijekom kongresa Komunističke partije u listopadu naznačio da će Kina ojačati svoja sredstva za strateško odvraćanje, što je termin koji se često koristi za nuklearno oružje.

Izvješće Pentagona ponovilo je zabrinutost glede sve većeg pritiska Pekinga na nezavisni Tajvan, otok koji Kina smatra odmetnutom pokrajinom.

Američki dužnosnik je izjavio da Washington kinesku invaziju na Tajvan ne vidi kao skorašnju.

Kina će vjerojatno više nego utrostručiti svoj nuklearni arsenal do 2035. kada će imati 1500 nuklearnih bojnih glava, objavio je Pentagon u utorak u izvješću u kojem se ističe stalno poboljšanje kineskih zračnih snaga.

Ta brojka naglašava sve veću zabrinutost Sjedinjenih Američkih Država o namjerama Kine da proširi svoj nuklearni arsenal iako predviđanja ne pokazuju da se ubrzava ionako hitar kineski razvoj bojnih glava.

"Nagomilavanje je brzo i suviše veliko da bi se prikrilo. Nameće se pitanje odmiču li se (Kinezi) od strategije koju su nazvali učinkovitim odvraćanjem", rekao je viši američki obrambeni dužnosnik na brifingu za novinare o Pentagonovom godišnjem izvješću o kineskoj vojsci.

Izvješće, koje se uglavnom temelji na analizi iz 2021. godine, kaže da Kina trenutno u svojim skladištima ima više od 400 bojnih glava.

Pentagon predviđa da će se kineski nuklearni arsenal do 2030. godine sastojati od 1.000 bojnih glava, a projekcija za 2035. temelji se na ujednačenom razvojnom tempu.

Kina tvrdi da je njezin arsenal minoran u usporedbi s američkim ili ruskim i da je spremna za dijalog, no jedino ako Washington smanji količinu vlastitog nuklearnog naoružanja na kinesku razinu.

SAD posjeduje otprilike 3.700 nuklearnih bojnih glava, od kojih je raspoređeno oko 1.740, prema Štokholmskom međunarodnom institutu za mirovna istraživanja.

Kineski vođa Xi Jinping je tijekom kongresa Komunističke partije u listopadu naznačio da će Kina ojačati svoja sredstva za strateško odvraćanje, što je termin koji se često koristi za nuklearno oružje.

Izvješće Pentagona ponovilo je zabrinutost glede sve većeg pritiska Pekinga na nezavisni Tajvan, otok koji Kina smatra odmetnutom pokrajinom.

Američki dužnosnik je izjavio da Washington kinesku invaziju na Tajvan ne vidi kao skorašnju.

Kina će vjerojatno više nego utrostručiti svoj nuklearni arsenal do 2035. kada će imati 1500 nuklearnih bojnih glava, objavio je Pentagon u utorak u izvješću u kojem se ističe stalno poboljšanje kineskih zračnih snaga.

Ta brojka naglašava sve veću zabrinutost Sjedinjenih Američkih Država o namjerama Kine da proširi svoj nuklearni arsenal iako predviđanja ne pokazuju da se ubrzava ionako hitar kineski razvoj bojnih glava.

"Nagomilavanje je brzo i suviše veliko da bi se prikrilo. Nameće se pitanje odmiču li se (Kinezi) od strategije koju su nazvali učinkovitim odvraćanjem", rekao je viši američki obrambeni dužnosnik na brifingu za novinare o Pentagonovom godišnjem izvješću o kineskoj vojsci.
