Elon Musk, posljednjih tjedana optuživan da podupire antisemitske teorije zavjere, posjetio je u ponedjeljak mjesto nacističkog logora smrti Auschwitz-Birkenau. Nakon toga je sudjelovao na konferenciji o antisemitizmu koju je organizirala Europska židovska udruga u obližnjem Krakowu.

"Bilo je nevjerojatno dirljivo, tužno i tragično da ljudi mogu učiniti ovo drugim ljudima. Vidio sam ranije fotografije i videa, ali puno više te pogađa u srce kad to vidiš osobno", rekao je Musk o posjetu logoru.

Do Muskovog posjeta je došlo tako što je, nakon njegovog javnog kritiziranja Anti-Defamation League - organizacije koja se bavi borbom protiv antisemitizma - njihov glasnogovornik Todd Gutnick poručio kako bi Musku dobro došao posjet Auschwitzu.

"Auschwitz služi kao krajnji podsjetnik na to što se može dogoditi kada je društvo opsjednuto antisemitizmom", rekao je Gutnick.

Muska su optuživali za antisemitizam u studenom prošle godine kada je na X-u odgovorio "Rekli ste pravu istinu" na objavu koja je iznosila tvrdnju da židovske zajednice potiču mržnju protiv bijelaca. Bijela kuća odmah je osudila njegove komentare, a Muskovu objavu kritizirao je i izraelski predsjednik Isaac Herzog, poznat po izjavi da "u Gazi nema nevinih civila".

Musk je tada priznao svoju pogrešku opisujući je kao "jednu od najglupljih" stvari koje je objavio na platformi.

Vlasnik Tesle je na konferenciji - koju je vodio Ben Shapiro; inače zagovaratelj etničkog čišćenja Palestine - izjavio da je njegova društvena mreža X i dalje načelno naklonjena slobodi govora i da bi se izrečene neistine trebale ispravljati. "Izvanjska ispitivanja koja smo proveli pokazuju da je najmanje antisemitizma na X-u, ako pogledate sve društvene mreže", iznio je Musk.

Usput, platforma X je u studenom zabranila korištenje pojmova "dekolonizacija", "od rijeke do mora" i "sličnih eufemizama koji nužno impliciraju genocid". "Jasni pozivi na ekstremno nasilje protivni su našim uvjetima pružanja usluge i rezultirat će obustavom", napisao je tada Musk.

Zanimljivo je pripomenuti kako je prije nekoliko dana izraelski premijer Benjamin Netanyahu poručio da "Izrael mora imati sigurnosnu kontrolu nad cijelim teritorijem zapadno od rijeke Jordan". Kada se krene zapadno "od rijeke" Jordan konačno se dođe "do mora".

Musk je u studenom bio Netanyahuov gost u napadnutom kibucu - također zbog navodnog antisemitizma - gdje mu je premijer imao uživo prilike iznijeti izraelsku stranu priče. Nakon posjeta je milijarder izjavio da "mnogo propagande može utjecati na umove ljudi" i kako "nema drugog izbora nego eliminirati Hamas".

Južnoafrikanac nije posjetio Gazu.

No posebno je interesantan bio dio razgovora s panela u Krakowu u kojem je Musk pokušao objasniti kako je on - "skoro Židov".

"Odrastao sam među mnogo Židova. Išao sam u hebrejski vrtić. Moje ime je jako židovsko. Super židovsko. Išao sam u Izrael kad sam imao 13 godina. Svakako imam puno židovskih obilježja. Većina mojih prijatelja su Židovi. Ponekad mislim da sam zaboravio (pa se pitam): ‘Jesam li ja Židov?‘ Ja sam ‘židovast‘. Stremim tome da budem Židov."

Elon Musk, posljednjih tjedana optuživan da podupire antisemitske teorije zavjere, posjetio je u ponedjeljak mjesto nacističkog logora smrti Auschwitz-Birkenau. Nakon toga je sudjelovao na konferenciji o antisemitizmu koju je organizirala Europska židovska udruga u obližnjem Krakowu.

"Bilo je nevjerojatno dirljivo, tužno i tragično da ljudi mogu učiniti ovo drugim ljudima. Vidio sam ranije fotografije i videa, ali puno više te pogađa u srce kad to vidiš osobno", rekao je Musk o posjetu logoru.

Do Muskovog posjeta je došlo tako što je, nakon njegovog javnog kritiziranja Anti-Defamation League - organizacije koja se bavi borbom protiv antisemitizma - njihov glasnogovornik Todd Gutnick poručio kako bi Musku dobro došao posjet Auschwitzu.

"Auschwitz služi kao krajnji podsjetnik na to što se može dogoditi kada je društvo opsjednuto antisemitizmom", rekao je Gutnick.

Muska su optuživali za antisemitizam u studenom prošle godine kada je na X-u odgovorio "Rekli ste pravu istinu" na objavu koja je iznosila tvrdnju da židovske zajednice potiču mržnju protiv bijelaca. Bijela kuća odmah je osudila njegove komentare, a Muskovu objavu kritizirao je i izraelski predsjednik Isaac Herzog, poznat po izjavi da "u Gazi nema nevinih civila".

Musk je tada priznao svoju pogrešku opisujući je kao "jednu od najglupljih" stvari koje je objavio na platformi.

Vlasnik Tesle je na konferenciji - koju je vodio Ben Shapiro; inače zagovaratelj etničkog čišćenja Palestine - izjavio da je njegova društvena mreža X i dalje načelno naklonjena slobodi govora i da bi se izrečene neistine trebale ispravljati. "Izvanjska ispitivanja koja smo proveli pokazuju da je najmanje antisemitizma na X-u, ako pogledate sve društvene mreže", iznio je Musk.

Usput, platforma X je u studenom zabranila korištenje pojmova "dekolonizacija", "od rijeke do mora" i "sličnih eufemizama koji nužno impliciraju genocid". "Jasni pozivi na ekstremno nasilje protivni su našim uvjetima pružanja usluge i rezultirat će obustavom", napisao je tada Musk.

Zanimljivo je pripomenuti kako je prije nekoliko dana izraelski premijer Benjamin Netanyahu poručio da "Izrael mora imati sigurnosnu kontrolu nad cijelim teritorijem zapadno od rijeke Jordan". Kada se krene zapadno "od rijeke" Jordan konačno se dođe "do mora".

Musk je u studenom bio Netanyahuov gost u napadnutom kibucu - također zbog navodnog antisemitizma - gdje mu je premijer imao uživo prilike iznijeti izraelsku stranu priče. Nakon posjeta je milijarder izjavio da "mnogo propagande može utjecati na umove ljudi" i kako "nema drugog izbora nego eliminirati Hamas".

Južnoafrikanac nije posjetio Gazu.

No posebno je interesantan bio dio razgovora s panela u Krakowu u kojem je Musk pokušao objasniti kako je on - "skoro Židov".

"Odrastao sam među mnogo Židova. Išao sam u hebrejski vrtić. Moje ime je jako židovsko. Super židovsko. Išao sam u Izrael kad sam imao 13 godina. Svakako imam puno židovskih obilježja. Većina mojih prijatelja su Židovi. Ponekad mislim da sam zaboravio (pa se pitam): ‘Jesam li ja Židov?‘ Ja sam ‘židovast‘. Stremim tome da budem Židov."
