Policija je u petak rekla da istražuje pozadinu problematičnog usamljenika koji je dobio dozvolu za vatreno oružje i ubio pet osoba, uključujući trogodišnju djevojčicu u prvoj masovnoj pucnjavi u Velikoj Britaniji nakon 11 godina.

Motiv 22-godišnjeg napadača Jakea Davisona, koji se ubio u četvrtak navečer nakon šestominutne pucnjave u inače mirnoj četvrti u Plymouthu na jugozapadu Engleske blizu najveće pomorske baze u Europi, za sada nije poznat.

No, policija Devona i Cornwalla odbacila je terorizam, uključujući i povezanost s krajnje desnim skupinama. Ustvrdili su da je Davison rodbinski povezan s 51-godišnjom prvom žrtvom, ali nisu potvrdili navode lokalnih medija po kojima je riječ o njegovoj majci.

Nakon što je ubio ženu u njenoj kući, Davison je ubio dijete i njenog 43-godišnjeg rođaka na cesti pored kuće. Nakon toga je ubio muškarca i ženu koji su bili u blizini, navodi policija.

Još su dva mještana zadobila "značajne" rane od metka, ali one nisu opasne po život, kazao je šef lokalne policije Shaun Sawyer novinarima, dodajući da je Davison od 2020. imao dozvolu za posjedovanje oružja.

Lokalni i nacionalni čelnici izrazili su šok i tugu.

"Moje misli su s prijateljima i obiteljima onih koji su izgubili živote i sa svima onima koji su pogođeni sinoćnjim tragičnim incidentom u Plymouthu ", napisao je na Twitteru britanski premijer Boris Johnson.

Gradski čelnici planiraju u petak navečer osvijetliti lokalnu znamenitost Smeatonov toranj kako bi postao "svjetionik na vrlo mračan, mračan dan za Plymouth".

Strogi zakoni o oružju

Jedno je oružje pronađeno nakon što se Davison ubio, ali načelnik policije nije potvrdio izjavu svjedoka po kojemu je Davison pucao na žrtve iz sačmarice.

Velika Britanija ima jednu od najstrožih regulativa protiv posjedovanja oružja, a policija često nije naoružana.

Osobno posjedovanje pištolja ja zabranjeno je u gotovo svim slučajevima nakon masakra u školi u škotskom gradu Dunblaneu 1996., kada je ubijeno 16 učenika i učitelj, što je najgora masovna pucnjava u povijesti zemlje.

Međutim, posjedovanje sportskih puški i sačmarica dozvoljeno je, uz stroga pravila o izdavanju dozvole.

Dozvola traje pet godina i trebala bi se izdavati samo nakon detaljne policijske provjere, koja uključuje i psihičke bolesti.

Posljednja masovna pucnjava u Britaniji dogodila se u lipnju 2010., kada je taksist Derrick Bird ubio 12 ljudi u Cumbriji, na jugozapadu Engleske.

Tirade na YouTubeu

Davisonovi računi na Facebooku i YoTubeu, koji su u međuvremenu izbrisani, ukazuju na njegovu zainteresiranost za oružje, desni libertarijanizam i akcijske video igre.

Sadržaj ukazuje na to da je Davison bio samosažaljevajući usamljenik otuđen od svoje obitelji, neprijateljski nastrojen prema ženama.

Na YouTubeu kanalu većinom je objavljivao kako diže utege u svojoj teretani.

Jedna poruka sadržavala je mizoginističko buncanje pred kamerom. U posljednjoj objavi, 28. srpnja, govorio je o osjećaju da ga je život "pretukao i porazio".

Posljednji video koji je "lajkao" na YouTubeu ovoga tjedna je isprobavanje američke puške koja je korištena u Drugom svjetskom ratu.

Sawyer je branio policijski odgovor, inzistirajući na tome da su naoružane jedinice brzo došle na mjesto događaja, ali prekasno za stupanje u kontakt s Davisonom prije nego što se ubio.

"Neovisnim nadzorom" će se pokušati ustvrditi kako je napadač dobio dozvolu i je li imao problema s mentalnim zdravljem, dodao je.

Na Facebooku je Davison kao svog poslodavca naveo Babcock International, britansku inženjersku tvrtku koja puno surađuje s lukom britanske mornarice u Plymouthu.

Davison je navodno upravljao dizalicom u luci, dok je u tinejdžerskim godinama radio na skeli.

Babcock nije komentirao navode, ali je izvršni direktor David Lockwood u ime tvrtke izrazio šok i žalost.

"Kao jedan od najvećih poslodavaca u Plymouthu, pružamo podršku i pomoć svakom od naših kolega koji se osjećaju pogođeni ovim incidentom", rekao je.

Policija je u petak rekla da istražuje pozadinu problematičnog usamljenika koji je dobio dozvolu za vatreno oružje i ubio pet osoba, uključujući trogodišnju djevojčicu u prvoj masovnoj pucnjavi u Velikoj Britaniji nakon 11 godina.

Motiv 22-godišnjeg napadača Jakea Davisona, koji se ubio u četvrtak navečer nakon šestominutne pucnjave u inače mirnoj četvrti u Plymouthu na jugozapadu Engleske blizu najveće pomorske baze u Europi, za sada nije poznat.

Nakon što je ubio ženu u njenoj kući, Davison je ubio dijete i njenog 43-godišnjeg rođaka na cesti pored kuće. Nakon toga je ubio muškarca i ženu koji su bili u blizini, navodi policija.

Još su dva mještana zadobila "značajne" rane od metka, ali one nisu opasne po život, kazao je šef lokalne policije Shaun Sawyer novinarima, dodajući da je Davison od 2020. imao dozvolu za posjedovanje oružja.

Lokalni i nacionalni čelnici izrazili su šok i tugu.

"Moje misli su s prijateljima i obiteljima onih koji su izgubili živote i sa svima onima koji su pogođeni sinoćnjim tragičnim incidentom u Plymouthu ", napisao je na Twitteru britanski premijer Boris Johnson.

Gradski čelnici planiraju u petak navečer osvijetliti lokalnu znamenitost Smeatonov toranj kako bi postao "svjetionik na vrlo mračan, mračan dan za Plymouth".

Strogi zakoni o oružju

Jedno je oružje pronađeno nakon što se Davison ubio, ali načelnik policije nije potvrdio izjavu svjedoka po kojemu je Davison pucao na žrtve iz sačmarice.

Velika Britanija ima jednu od najstrožih regulativa protiv posjedovanja oružja, a policija često nije naoružana.

Osobno posjedovanje pištolja ja zabranjeno je u gotovo svim slučajevima nakon masakra u školi u škotskom gradu Dunblaneu 1996., kada je ubijeno 16 učenika i učitelj, što je najgora masovna pucnjava u povijesti zemlje.

Međutim, posjedovanje sportskih puški i sačmarica dozvoljeno je, uz stroga pravila o izdavanju dozvole.

Dozvola traje pet godina i trebala bi se izdavati samo nakon detaljne policijske provjere, koja uključuje i psihičke bolesti.

Posljednja masovna pucnjava u Britaniji dogodila se u lipnju 2010., kada je taksist Derrick Bird ubio 12 ljudi u Cumbriji, na jugozapadu Engleske.

Tirade na YouTubeu

Davisonovi računi na Facebooku i YoTubeu, koji su u međuvremenu izbrisani, ukazuju na njegovu zainteresiranost za oružje, desni libertarijanizam i akcijske video igre.

Sadržaj ukazuje na to da je Davison bio samosažaljevajući usamljenik otuđen od svoje obitelji, neprijateljski nastrojen prema ženama.

Na YouTubeu kanalu većinom je objavljivao kako diže utege u svojoj teretani.

Jedna poruka sadržavala je mizoginističko buncanje pred kamerom. U posljednjoj objavi, 28. srpnja, govorio je o osjećaju da ga je život "pretukao i porazio".

Posljednji video koji je "lajkao" na YouTubeu ovoga tjedna je isprobavanje američke puške koja je korištena u Drugom svjetskom ratu.

Sawyer je branio policijski odgovor, inzistirajući na tome da su naoružane jedinice brzo došle na mjesto događaja, ali prekasno za stupanje u kontakt s Davisonom prije nego što se ubio.

"Neovisnim nadzorom" će se pokušati ustvrditi kako je napadač dobio dozvolu i je li imao problema s mentalnim zdravljem, dodao je.

Na Facebooku je Davison kao svog poslodavca naveo Babcock International, britansku inženjersku tvrtku koja puno surađuje s lukom britanske mornarice u Plymouthu.

Davison je navodno upravljao dizalicom u luci, dok je u tinejdžerskim godinama radio na skeli.

Babcock nije komentirao navode, ali je izvršni direktor David Lockwood u ime tvrtke izrazio šok i žalost.

"Kao jedan od najvećih poslodavaca u Plymouthu, pružamo podršku i pomoć svakom od naših kolega koji se osjećaju pogođeni ovim incidentom", rekao je.

Policija je u petak rekla da istražuje pozadinu problematičnog usamljenika koji je dobio dozvolu za vatreno oružje i ubio pet osoba, uključujući trogodišnju djevojčicu u prvoj masovnoj pucnjavi u Velikoj Britaniji nakon 11 godina.
