U Portugalu bi broj krađi u trgovinama mogao skočiti 40 posto u odnosu na prošlu godinu jer stanovnici zbog porasta cijena hrane kradu riblje konzerve, ulje, kruh, kavu i druge osnovne namirnice, izvijestio je portugalski tjednik Expresso pozivajući se na službene podatke.

“Taj je fenomen posebno izražen u velikim gradovima poput Lisabona i Porta”, rekao je Goncalo Lobo Xavier, predsjednik portugalske udruge distrubuterskih kompanija (APED).

“Nema nikakve sumnje da ljudi kradu te stvari kako bi mogli jesti. Ovo je prvi znak teške socijalne krize”, dodao je.

Portugalska policija kaže da su od siječnja do lipnja bile prijavljene 452 krađe u supermarketima. Nastavi li se taj trend to će biti porast od 40 posto u odnosu na prošlu godinu.

Ljudi pogođeni poskupljenjima kradu i smrznutu ribu, napose bakalar koja se tradicionalno jede u Portrugalu, zemlji s 10,3 milijuna stanovnika na obali Atlantskog oceana.

Policija kaže da mnoge trgovine niti ne prijavljuju krađu namirnica poput krumpira, no sve je više trgovaca s ugrađenim alarmnim sustavima.

“U posljednja dva ili tri mjeseca svjedočimo znatnom porastu krađa. Na njih se odlučuju ljudi koji više ne mogu preživjeti sa svojim plaćama”, kaže Claudio Ferreira, predsjednik udruge privatnih zaštitarskih tvrtki.

“Ljudi su očajni. Skrivaju kutije s mlijekom i riblje konzerve u torbama ili u jaknama kako bi jeli ili tu hranu dali svojoj djeci”, dodaje.

Cijena prosječne košarice hrane, koja se sastoji od 63 osnovna proizvoda, prošli tjedan je dosegnula najvišu cijenu u ovoj godini. Sada košta 214 eura, što je 30,67 eura više nego u veljači prije početka rata u Ukrajini, izvijestila je udruga za zaštitu potrošača Deco Proteste.

Cijene hrane su u prosjeku porasle 17 posto, a galopirajuća inflacija sve više pogađa srednju klasu, koja se suočava i s poskupljenjem struje te plina. Na rubu siromaštva je 1,9 milijuna stanovnika sa primanjima manjim od 554 eura mjesečno.

Portugalski predsjednik Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, upitan o objavljenom tekstu, rekao je da se “povremeno pojave ovakve ili onakve vijesti”. “No to nije generalna situacija. Većina Portugalaca se uzorno ponaša, štoviše besprijekorno, unatoč krizi", napomenuo je.

Dodao je, međutim, da je siromaštvo “temeljni problem” portugalskog društva te da je i prije početka rata u Ukrajini bila donesena strategija za suzbijanje siromaštva u Portugalu do 2030. godine.

U Portugalu bi broj krađi u trgovinama mogao skočiti 40 posto u odnosu na prošlu godinu jer stanovnici zbog porasta cijena hrane kradu riblje konzerve, ulje, kruh, kavu i druge osnovne namirnice, izvijestio je portugalski tjednik Expresso pozivajući se na službene podatke.

“Taj je fenomen posebno izražen u velikim gradovima poput Lisabona i Porta”, rekao je Goncalo Lobo Xavier, predsjednik portugalske udruge distrubuterskih kompanija (APED).

“Nema nikakve sumnje da ljudi kradu te stvari kako bi mogli jesti. Ovo je prvi znak teške socijalne krize”, dodao je.

Portugalska policija kaže da su od siječnja do lipnja bile prijavljene 452 krađe u supermarketima. Nastavi li se taj trend to će biti porast od 40 posto u odnosu na prošlu godinu.

Ljudi pogođeni poskupljenjima kradu i smrznutu ribu, napose bakalar koja se tradicionalno jede u Portrugalu, zemlji s 10,3 milijuna stanovnika na obali Atlantskog oceana.

Policija kaže da mnoge trgovine niti ne prijavljuju krađu namirnica poput krumpira, no sve je više trgovaca s ugrađenim alarmnim sustavima.

“U posljednja dva ili tri mjeseca svjedočimo znatnom porastu krađa. Na njih se odlučuju ljudi koji više ne mogu preživjeti sa svojim plaćama”, kaže Claudio Ferreira, predsjednik udruge privatnih zaštitarskih tvrtki.

“Ljudi su očajni. Skrivaju kutije s mlijekom i riblje konzerve u torbama ili u jaknama kako bi jeli ili tu hranu dali svojoj djeci”, dodaje.

Cijena prosječne košarice hrane, koja se sastoji od 63 osnovna proizvoda, prošli tjedan je dosegnula najvišu cijenu u ovoj godini. Sada košta 214 eura, što je 30,67 eura više nego u veljači prije početka rata u Ukrajini, izvijestila je udruga za zaštitu potrošača Deco Proteste.

Cijene hrane su u prosjeku porasle 17 posto, a galopirajuća inflacija sve više pogađa srednju klasu, koja se suočava i s poskupljenjem struje te plina. Na rubu siromaštva je 1,9 milijuna stanovnika sa primanjima manjim od 554 eura mjesečno.

Portugalski predsjednik Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, upitan o objavljenom tekstu, rekao je da se “povremeno pojave ovakve ili onakve vijesti”. “No to nije generalna situacija. Većina Portugalaca se uzorno ponaša, štoviše besprijekorno, unatoč krizi", napomenuo je.

Dodao je, međutim, da je siromaštvo “temeljni problem” portugalskog društva te da je i prije početka rata u Ukrajini bila donesena strategija za suzbijanje siromaštva u Portugalu do 2030. godine.

Inflacija sve više ljudi dovodi do ruba: u ovoj europskoj zemlji zabilježeno je 40 posto više krađa u trgovinama zbog poskupljenja

U Portugalu bi broj krađi u trgovinama mogao skočiti 40 posto u odnosu na prošlu godinu jer stanovnici zbog porasta cijena hrane kradu riblje konzerve, ulje, kruh, kavu i druge osnovne namirnice, izvijestio je portugalski tjednik Expresso pozivajući se na službene podatke.

“Taj je fenomen posebno izražen u velikim gradovima poput Lisabona i Porta”, rekao je Goncalo Lobo Xavier, predsjednik portugalske udruge distrubuterskih kompanija (APED).

“Nema nikakve sumnje da ljudi kradu te stvari kako bi mogli jesti. Ovo je prvi znak teške socijalne krize”, dodao je.

Portugalska policija kaže da su od siječnja do lipnja bile prijavljene 452 krađe u supermarketima. Nastavi li se taj trend to će biti porast od 40 posto u odnosu na prošlu godinu.
