      Izrael je booster dozom cjepiva i pratećim mjerama konačno stavio pandemiju pod kontrolu. Usprkos tome što su proljeće dočekali kao jedna od najbrže i najmasovnije procijepljenih država, zbog iznimno disperzivne delta varijante koronavirusa i masovnoga slabljenja imuniteta uslijed protoka vremena u lipnju ih je snažno zapljusnuo četvrti val zaraze.

     Umjesto uvođenja novoga lockdowna, izraelska vlada se odlučila za koncept 'Živjeti s covidom' te je koncem srpnja uvela treću dozu Pfizerovog cjepiva, tzv. booster, za sve građane starije od 12 godina. Cjepivo su pratile i eskortne mjere poput obavezne zaštitne maske i COVID propusnice u restoranima i na drugim javnim mjestima, a vrijedile su čak i za djecu. Od vrhunca četvrtoga vala koji ih je zadesio koncem kolovoza do danas dnevne infekcije su novom rundom cjepiva u Izraelu oborene za više od 80 posto, a bolnički teški slučajevi prepolovljeni. Dosad je treću dozu primilo 3.7 milijuna ljudi, više od trećine ukupnog izraelskog stanovništva.

      Nakon što je tamošnje ministarstvo zdravstva na panelu američke Agencije za hranu i lijekove (FDA) svijetu prezentiralo podatke o sigurnosti i učinkovitosti kampanje cijepljenja trećom dozom, sve je veći broj država zainteresiran plagirati izraelsko iskustvo. Podaci govore kako se treća doza pokazala najučinkovitijom kod ljudi starijih od 60 godina, u čijoj su se dobnoj skupini već za dva tjedna od cijepljenja infekcije počele rapidno smanjivati. Sužena stopa reprodukcije virusa i njegova umanjena sposobnost širenja registrirane su i u drugim dobnim kategorijama, no najvažnije otkriće ovog pothvata je da stariji odnosno donedavno virusno najizloženiji građani nisu više najugroženija covid kategorija.

Otkako je u Izraelu počelo cijepljenje trećom dozom, necijepljeni i mlađi ljudi dominiraju među najtežim bolničkim slučajevima: oni čine 75 posto hospitaliziranih pacijenata u teškom stanju, a oni koji su cijepljeni s dvije ili tri doze čine tek četvrtinu teških slučajeva. Nije nevažno ni da je izraelsko ministarstvo zdravstva priopćilo kako dosadašnji nalazi pokazuju da treća doza Pfizerova cjepiva kod mlađih osoba nije povećala rizik od miokarditisa, upale srca koja je ranije registrirana u iznimno rijetkim slučajevima.

      Premda su i neki izraelski znanstvenici na početku kampanje upozoravali da se Izrael s ubrzanom masovnom primjenom treće doze poprilično kocka, rizik im se nesumnjivo isplatio. U Engleskoj, gdje je treću dozu dobilo tek oko pet posto stanovništva i gdje su ukinute sve covid mjere, broj slučajeva je u sustavnom porastu.

      Njemačka, upravo suočena s četvrtim valom pandemije,  odlučila je primijeniti izraelsku strategiju u borbi s koronavirusom i također uvesti booster, odnosno treću dozu.

Tamošnji ministar zdravstva Jens Spahn izjavio je kako četvrti val napada Njemačku punom snagom te apelirao na sve kojima je prošlo šest mjeseci od cijepljenja s dvije doze da obvezno prime i treću. U tu svrhu Nijemci će ponovno aktivirati centre za cijepljenje i posebne autobuse. Nekoliko drugih europskih zemalja, kao i Sjedinjene Američke Države, još su prije Njemačke odobrile treću dozu, no samo za starije odrasle osobe, one s oslabljenim imunološkim sustavom ili zaposlenike s visokim rizikom izloženosti koronavirusu. Mnogi se skanjuju odlučiti o masovnoj primjeni 'boostera' zbog preporuka Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO) koja traži od bogatijih nacija da obustave cijepljenje trećom dozom dok se siromašne države ne namire prvom i drugom.

      Izrael je booster dozom cjepiva i pratećim mjerama konačno stavio pandemiju pod kontrolu. Usprkos tome što su proljeće dočekali kao jedna od najbrže i najmasovnije procijepljenih država, zbog iznimno disperzivne delta varijante koronavirusa i masovnoga slabljenja imuniteta uslijed protoka vremena u lipnju ih je snažno zapljusnuo četvrti val zaraze.

     Umjesto uvođenja novoga lockdowna, izraelska vlada se odlučila za koncept 'Živjeti s covidom' te je koncem srpnja uvela treću dozu Pfizerovog cjepiva, tzv. booster, za sve građane starije od 12 godina. Cjepivo su pratile i eskortne mjere poput obavezne zaštitne maske i COVID propusnice u restoranima i na drugim javnim mjestima, a vrijedile su čak i za djecu. Od vrhunca četvrtoga vala koji ih je zadesio koncem kolovoza do danas dnevne infekcije su novom rundom cjepiva u Izraelu oborene za više od 80 posto, a bolnički teški slučajevi prepolovljeni. Dosad je treću dozu primilo 3.7 milijuna ljudi, više od trećine ukupnog izraelskog stanovništva.

      Nakon što je tamošnje ministarstvo zdravstva na panelu američke Agencije za hranu i lijekove (FDA) svijetu prezentiralo podatke o sigurnosti i učinkovitosti kampanje cijepljenja trećom dozom, sve je veći broj država zainteresiran plagirati izraelsko iskustvo. Podaci govore kako se treća doza pokazala najučinkovitijom kod ljudi starijih od 60 godina, u čijoj su se dobnoj skupini već za dva tjedna od cijepljenja infekcije počele rapidno smanjivati. Sužena stopa reprodukcije virusa i njegova umanjena sposobnost širenja registrirane su i u drugim dobnim kategorijama, no najvažnije otkriće ovog pothvata je da stariji odnosno donedavno virusno najizloženiji građani nisu više najugroženija covid kategorija.

Otkako je u Izraelu počelo cijepljenje trećom dozom, necijepljeni i mlađi ljudi dominiraju među najtežim bolničkim slučajevima: oni čine 75 posto hospitaliziranih pacijenata u teškom stanju, a oni koji su cijepljeni s dvije ili tri doze čine tek četvrtinu teških slučajeva. Nije nevažno ni da je izraelsko ministarstvo zdravstva priopćilo kako dosadašnji nalazi pokazuju da treća doza Pfizerova cjepiva kod mlađih osoba nije povećala rizik od miokarditisa, upale srca koja je ranije registrirana u iznimno rijetkim slučajevima.

      Premda su i neki izraelski znanstvenici na početku kampanje upozoravali da se Izrael s ubrzanom masovnom primjenom treće doze poprilično kocka, rizik im se nesumnjivo isplatio. U Engleskoj, gdje je treću dozu dobilo tek oko pet posto stanovništva i gdje su ukinute sve covid mjere, broj slučajeva je u sustavnom porastu.

      Njemačka, upravo suočena s četvrtim valom pandemije,  odlučila je primijeniti izraelsku strategiju u borbi s koronavirusom i također uvesti booster, odnosno treću dozu.

Tamošnji ministar zdravstva Jens Spahn izjavio je kako četvrti val napada Njemačku punom snagom te apelirao na sve kojima je prošlo šest mjeseci od cijepljenja s dvije doze da obvezno prime i treću. U tu svrhu Nijemci će ponovno aktivirati centre za cijepljenje i posebne autobuse. Nekoliko drugih europskih zemalja, kao i Sjedinjene Američke Države, još su prije Njemačke odobrile treću dozu, no samo za starije odrasle osobe, one s oslabljenim imunološkim sustavom ili zaposlenike s visokim rizikom izloženosti koronavirusu. Mnogi se skanjuju odlučiti o masovnoj primjeni 'boostera' zbog preporuka Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO) koja traži od bogatijih nacija da obustave cijepljenje trećom dozom dok se siromašne države ne namire prvom i drugom.
