Visoki predstavnik EU za vanjsku politiku Josep Borrell u nedjelju je oštro osudio naredbu talibanskih vlasti u Afganistanu da se ženama zabrani rad u svim lokalnim i stranim nevladinim organizacijama (NVO), a "krajnju zabrinutost" odlukom talibana izrazio je i Katar.
Kabul je rekao da je ovaj potez, koji je globalno osuđen, bio opravdan jer se neke žene nisu pridržavale talibanskog tumačenja islamskog kodeksa odijevanja za žene.
Borrell je rekao da je zaprepašten posljednjom odlukom, koja je uslijedila nakon prošlotjedne zabrane ženama da pohađaju sveučilište i nasilnog gušenja mirnih prosvjeda žena protiv tog poteza.
Pozvao je talibane da odmah povuku svoju odluku, kao dio obveze poštivanja međunarodnog humanitarnog prava i humanitarnih načela.
"Zajedno s drugim pružateljima pomoći narodu Afganistana, EU će morati razmotriti kakve će posljedice ova odluka, i nedavna odluka talibana da zatvore sveučilišta za žene, imati na njihov angažman u našim zemljama i organizacijama", poručio je Borrell.
Katar je također izrazio "krajnju zabrinutost" zbog naredbe talibanske vlasti u Afganistanu da zabrani ženama da rade, te pozvao vlasti da revidiraju odluku, reklo je katarsko ministarstvo vanjskih poslova u nedjelju.
Katarsko ministarstvo je "istaknulo potrebu da se poštuje pravo žena na rad, budući da su sloboda izbora zanimanja i pravo na rad ljudska prava".
Katar je ugostio predstavništvo talibana tijekom američkoga rata u Afghanistanu te je bio mjesto mirovnih pregovora prije nego li je ta skupina 2021. preuzela vlast.
Četiri međunarodne humanitarne organizacije, među kojima i Save the Children, kazale su u nedjelju da obustavljaju rad svojih humanitarnih programa u Afganistanu kao odgovor na odluku talibanske administracije o zabrani rada za žene.
Talibanske vlasti su u nedjelju naredile svim domaćim i stranim nevladinim organizacijama (NVO-ovima) da ne dozvole ženama da rade do daljnjega. Kazala je da je potez, koji je osuđen globano, opravdan zato što se neke žene ne pridržavaju talibanske interpretacije islamskih pravila odijevanja.
Tri NVO-a, Save the Children, Norwegian Refugee Council i CARE International, u zajedničkoj su izjavi kazali da obustavljaju svoje programe dok čekaju pojašnjenje odluke administracije.
"Ne možemo učinkovito pomagati djeci, ženama i muškarcima u nevolji u Afganistanu bez našeg ženskoga osoblja", rekle su u izvjavi, uz poruku da bez tih žena ne bi uspjeli doći do milijuna potrebitih Afganistanaca od kolovoza prošle godine.
Osim njih, i Međunarodni odbor za pomoć (IRC) kazao je u izvješću da prekida svoj rad u toj zemlji navodeći slične razloge. IRC je kazao da u Afganistanu zapošljava više od 8000 ljudi, od kojih su više od 3000 žene.
Do prekida rada nekih programa koji pomažu milijunima Afganistanaca došlo je u trenutku kad više od pola populacije ovisi o humanitarnoj pomoći, tvrde humanitarne organizacije, u najhladnije doba godine u toj brdovitoj zemlji.

Visoki predstavnik EU za vanjsku politiku Josep Borrell u nedjelju je oštro osudio naredbu talibanskih vlasti u Afganistanu da se ženama zabrani rad u svim lokalnim i stranim nevladinim organizacijama (NVO), a "krajnju zabrinutost" odlukom talibana izrazio je i Katar.
Kabul je rekao da je ovaj potez, koji je globalno osuđen, bio opravdan jer se neke žene nisu pridržavale talibanskog tumačenja islamskog kodeksa odijevanja za žene.
Borrell je rekao da je zaprepašten posljednjom odlukom, koja je uslijedila nakon prošlotjedne zabrane ženama da pohađaju sveučilište i nasilnog gušenja mirnih prosvjeda žena protiv tog poteza.
Pozvao je talibane da odmah povuku svoju odluku, kao dio obveze poštivanja međunarodnog humanitarnog prava i humanitarnih načela.
"Zajedno s drugim pružateljima pomoći narodu Afganistana, EU će morati razmotriti kakve će posljedice ova odluka, i nedavna odluka talibana da zatvore sveučilišta za žene, imati na njihov angažman u našim zemljama i organizacijama", poručio je Borrell.
Katar je također izrazio "krajnju zabrinutost" zbog naredbe talibanske vlasti u Afganistanu da zabrani ženama da rade, te pozvao vlasti da revidiraju odluku, reklo je katarsko ministarstvo vanjskih poslova u nedjelju.
Katarsko ministarstvo je "istaknulo potrebu da se poštuje pravo žena na rad, budući da su sloboda izbora zanimanja i pravo na rad ljudska prava".
Katar je ugostio predstavništvo talibana tijekom američkoga rata u Afghanistanu te je bio mjesto mirovnih pregovora prije nego li je ta skupina 2021. preuzela vlast.
Četiri međunarodne humanitarne organizacije, među kojima i Save the Children, kazale su u nedjelju da obustavljaju rad svojih humanitarnih programa u Afganistanu kao odgovor na odluku talibanske administracije o zabrani rada za žene.
Talibanske vlasti su u nedjelju naredile svim domaćim i stranim nevladinim organizacijama (NVO-ovima) da ne dozvole ženama da rade do daljnjega. Kazala je da je potez, koji je osuđen globano, opravdan zato što se neke žene ne pridržavaju talibanske interpretacije islamskih pravila odijevanja.
Tri NVO-a, Save the Children, Norwegian Refugee Council i CARE International, u zajedničkoj su izjavi kazali da obustavljaju svoje programe dok čekaju pojašnjenje odluke administracije.
"Ne možemo učinkovito pomagati djeci, ženama i muškarcima u nevolji u Afganistanu bez našeg ženskoga osoblja", rekle su u izvjavi, uz poruku da bez tih žena ne bi uspjeli doći do milijuna potrebitih Afganistanaca od kolovoza prošle godine.
Osim njih, i Međunarodni odbor za pomoć (IRC) kazao je u izvješću da prekida svoj rad u toj zemlji navodeći slične razloge. IRC je kazao da u Afganistanu zapošljava više od 8000 ljudi, od kojih su više od 3000 žene.
Do prekida rada nekih programa koji pomažu milijunima Afganistanaca došlo je u trenutku kad više od pola populacije ovisi o humanitarnoj pomoći, tvrde humanitarne organizacije, u najhladnije doba godine u toj brdovitoj zemlji.
