Brazilsko zdravstveno regulatorno tijelo u ponedjeljak je bez detaljnog objašnjenja priopćilo da obustavlja klinička ispitivanja kineskog cjepiva protiv koronavirusa Sinovac zbog "teških popratnih pojava" do kojih je došlo 29. listopada.

Istraživački medicinski institut Butantan, iz Sao Paola, koji u Brazilu provodi klinička ispitivanja Sinovaca, priopćio je da je "iznenađen" tom odlukom te da će u utorak u 11 sati po lokalnom vremenu (15 sati po srednjoeuropskom) održati konferenciju za novinare.

Dimas Covas, voditelj instituta, rekao je da se ta odluka temelji na "smrtnom slučaju", ali da je to vrlo čudno jer "smrt nije povezana s cjepivom".

"U ovom trenutku imamo više od 10.000 dobrovoljaca i može doći do smrtnih slučajeva (...) radi se o smrtnom slučaju koji nije povezan sa cjepivom i nije trenutak za prekid kliničkih ispitivanja", rekao je Covas.

Regulatorna agencija Anvisa ne navodi da li je smrt nastupila u Brazilu ili nekoj drugoj zemlji gdje se provode ispitivanja, niti zašto tako kasno objavljuje svoju odluku.

Niti jedna druga zemlja koja provodi ispitivanje eksperimentalnog cjepiva Sinovac nije objavila prekid kliničkih ispitivanja. Zadnje faze ispitivanja Sinovaca provode se u Indoneziji i Turskoj.

Sinovac je jedno od tri eksperimentalna cjepiva protiv covida-19 kojim je Kina cijepila stotine tisuća ljudi u okviru programa za izvanrednu upotrebu. Kineski zdravstveni dužnosnici su 20. listopada objavili da to cjepivo nema ozbiljnih popratnih pojava.

Brazilsko zdravstveno regulatorno tijelo u ponedjeljak je bez detaljnog objašnjenja priopćilo da obustavlja klinička ispitivanja kineskog cjepiva protiv koronavirusa Sinovac zbog "teških popratnih pojava" do kojih je došlo 29. listopada.

Istraživački medicinski institut Butantan, iz Sao Paola, koji u Brazilu provodi klinička ispitivanja Sinovaca, priopćio je da je "iznenađen" tom odlukom te da će u utorak u 11 sati po lokalnom vremenu (15 sati po srednjoeuropskom) održati konferenciju za novinare.

Dimas Covas, voditelj instituta, rekao je da se ta odluka temelji na "smrtnom slučaju", ali da je to vrlo čudno jer "smrt nije povezana s cjepivom".

"U ovom trenutku imamo više od 10.000 dobrovoljaca i može doći do smrtnih slučajeva (...) radi se o smrtnom slučaju koji nije povezan sa cjepivom i nije trenutak za prekid kliničkih ispitivanja", rekao je Covas.

Regulatorna agencija Anvisa ne navodi da li je smrt nastupila u Brazilu ili nekoj drugoj zemlji gdje se provode ispitivanja, niti zašto tako kasno objavljuje svoju odluku.

Niti jedna druga zemlja koja provodi ispitivanje eksperimentalnog cjepiva Sinovac nije objavila prekid kliničkih ispitivanja. Zadnje faze ispitivanja Sinovaca provode se u Indoneziji i Turskoj.

Sinovac je jedno od tri eksperimentalna cjepiva protiv covida-19 kojim je Kina cijepila stotine tisuća ljudi u okviru programa za izvanrednu upotrebu. Kineski zdravstveni dužnosnici su 20. listopada objavili da to cjepivo nema ozbiljnih popratnih pojava.

Brazilsko zdravstveno regulatorno tijelo u ponedjeljak je bez detaljnog objašnjenja priopćilo da obustavlja klinička ispitivanja kineskog cjepiva protiv koronavirusa Sinovac zbog "teških popratnih pojava" do kojih je došlo 29. listopada.

Istraživački medicinski institut Butantan, iz Sao Paola, koji u Brazilu provodi klinička ispitivanja Sinovaca, priopćio je da je "iznenađen" tom odlukom te da će u utorak u 11 sati po lokalnom vremenu (15 sati po srednjoeuropskom) održati konferenciju za novinare.

Dimas Covas, voditelj instituta, rekao je da se ta odluka temelji na "smrtnom slučaju", ali da je to vrlo čudno jer "smrt nije povezana s cjepivom".

"U ovom trenutku imamo više od 10.000 dobrovoljaca i može doći do smrtnih slučajeva (...) radi se o smrtnom slučaju koji nije...
