Austrijski novinar Felix Haselsteiner bio je brutalno iskren.

U svojem tekstu za njemački list Süddeutsche Zeitung detaljno je opisao svoj povratak iz Hrvatske u Austriju u nedjelju 23. kolovoza. Tek koju minutu prije nego će njegova država, po nalogu kancelara Sebastiana Kurza, uvesti obaveznu 14-dnevnu karantenu za sve koji dolaze iz Hrvatske. I pritom bez dlake na jeziku otkrio što o toj odluci misli. Nazvao ju je doslovno – antieuropskom predstavom.

- Jeste li morali uvrijediti državu članicu EU koja povijesno ima blisku vezu s Austrijom? Ne bi li, primjerice, bilo moguće voditi bilateralne razgovore kako bi se dobio učinkovitiji pregled nad Austrijancima koji su trenutno u Hrvatskoj - ili čak da se približe hrvatskoj vladi i zatraže od njih da malo pooštre pravila o koroni u zemlji? Ili samo moći izdati upozorenje za putovanja za pogođene regije, kao što je to učinila Njemačka? To bi bilo europsko rješenje, ono koje bi odgovaralo modernoj konfederaciji. Zbog svog geografskog položaja, Austrija bi mogla igrati presudnu ulogu u usklađenom europskom odgovoru na pandemiju. Umjesto toga, Kurz je još jednom odlučio biti uzor za (prividnu) žilavost, odlučnost i strogu "Austriju na prvom mjestu" – napisao je Haselsteiner. On tvrdi da je Hrvatska bila jedna od prvih zemalja Europe koja se otvorila za turiste. Da se sa turistima i virus vratio u Hrvatsku. Da je „korona zapravo autom otputovala na ljetovanje i onda se s njega i vratila”. I da bi se austrijska politika mogla pokazati prilično kratkovidnom. Jer za koji će mjesec početi zimska skijaška sezona, a onda bi se Austrija – ako se druge države budu ponašale kao što se ona ponaša danas – mogla naći u istoj situaciji u koju je sada stavila Hrvatsku.

Prof. dr. Petar Kurečić sa Sveučilišta Sjever stručnjak je za međunarodne odnose i vanjsku politiku. On tvrdi da se iza Kurzovog manevra u prvom redu krije ekonomski interes Austrije.

- Svatko pokušava poduprijeti svoju ekonomiju i motivirati građane da novac troše u svojoj zemlji, ne izvan nje. Austrija je to, međutim, napravila na jedan ružan način, uz kratak rok za povratak. I prije se znalo da postoji rizik, možda se moglo selektivnije testirati, a ne čitave obitelji natjerati u trku s vremenom – upozorava Kurečić. On podsjeća da je upravo Austrija Hrvatsku držala  „u crvenom“ i nakon prestanka lockdowna, i da je među zadnjima skinula zabranu sa putovanja u našu zemlju iako je u Austriji bilo puno više slučajeva zaraze koronavirusom nego u Hrvatskoj.

- Švicarska se puno korektnije ponaša prema Hrvatskoj, iako Švicarska nije u Europskoj uniji, a Austrija jest. U Švicarskoj Hrvatska nije ni blizu nekih zabrana, sa liste su ovih dana skinuli i Srbiju, a granicu za ulazak na crvenu listu su sa 40 podignuli na 60 slučajeva na 100 tisuća stanovnika – ističe Kurečić.

Ovakvi potezi, naglašava on, ponovno otvaraju pitanja o suradnji i solidarnosti unutar Europske unije. Pitanja koja je koronakriza, čini se, ogolila do srži.

- Svi se bave spašavanjem vlastite ekonomije i pritom se često ne biraju sredstva. Solidarnost je u Uniji izostala i na početku epidemije, kada je Italija mjesec i pol dana uzaludno čekala pomoć. EU je osigurala novac za zemlje najpogođenije krizom, no ostaje dilema do koje je mjere korona doista uzdrmala same temelje Unije – zaključuje Kurečić.

Austrijski novinar Felix Haselsteiner bio je brutalno iskren.

U svojem tekstu za njemački list Süddeutsche Zeitung detaljno je opisao svoj povratak iz Hrvatske u Austriju u nedjelju 23. kolovoza. Tek koju minutu prije nego će njegova država, po nalogu kancelara Sebastiana Kurza, uvesti obaveznu 14-dnevnu karantenu za sve koji dolaze iz Hrvatske. I pritom bez dlake na jeziku otkrio što o toj odluci misli. Nazvao ju je doslovno – antieuropskom predstavom.

- Jeste li morali uvrijediti državu članicu EU koja povijesno ima blisku vezu s Austrijom? Ne bi li, primjerice, bilo moguće voditi bilateralne razgovore kako bi se dobio učinkovitiji pregled nad Austrijancima koji su trenutno u Hrvatskoj - ili čak da se približe hrvatskoj vladi i zatraže od njih da malo pooštre pravila o koroni u zemlji? Ili samo moći izdati upozorenje za putovanja za pogođene regije, kao što je to učinila Njemačka? To bi bilo europsko rješenje, ono koje bi odgovaralo modernoj konfederaciji. Zbog svog geografskog položaja, Austrija bi mogla igrati presudnu ulogu u usklađenom europskom odgovoru na pandemiju. Umjesto toga, Kurz je još jednom odlučio biti uzor za (prividnu) žilavost, odlučnost i strogu "Austriju na prvom mjestu" – napisao je Haselsteiner. On tvrdi da je Hrvatska bila jedna od prvih zemalja Europe koja se otvorila za turiste. Da se sa turistima i virus vratio u Hrvatsku. Da je „korona zapravo autom otputovala na ljetovanje i onda se s njega i vratila”. I da bi se austrijska politika mogla pokazati prilično kratkovidnom. Jer za koji će mjesec početi zimska skijaška sezona, a onda bi se Austrija – ako se druge države budu ponašale kao što se ona ponaša danas – mogla naći u istoj situaciji u koju je sada stavila Hrvatsku.

Prof. dr. Petar Kurečić sa Sveučilišta Sjever stručnjak je za međunarodne odnose i vanjsku politiku. On tvrdi da se iza Kurzovog manevra u prvom redu krije ekonomski interes Austrije.

- Svatko pokušava poduprijeti svoju ekonomiju i motivirati građane da novac troše u svojoj zemlji, ne izvan nje. Austrija je to, međutim, napravila na jedan ružan način, uz kratak rok za povratak. I prije se znalo da postoji rizik, možda se moglo selektivnije testirati, a ne čitave obitelji natjerati u trku s vremenom – upozorava Kurečić. On podsjeća da je upravo Austrija Hrvatsku držala  „u crvenom“ i nakon prestanka lockdowna, i da je među zadnjima skinula zabranu sa putovanja u našu zemlju iako je u Austriji bilo puno više slučajeva zaraze koronavirusom nego u Hrvatskoj.

- Švicarska se puno korektnije ponaša prema Hrvatskoj, iako Švicarska nije u Europskoj uniji, a Austrija jest. U Švicarskoj Hrvatska nije ni blizu nekih zabrana, sa liste su ovih dana skinuli i Srbiju, a granicu za ulazak na crvenu listu su sa 40 podignuli na 60 slučajeva na 100 tisuća stanovnika – ističe Kurečić.

Ovakvi potezi, naglašava on, ponovno otvaraju pitanja o suradnji i solidarnosti unutar Europske unije. Pitanja koja je koronakriza, čini se, ogolila do srži.

- Svi se bave spašavanjem vlastite ekonomije i pritom se često ne biraju sredstva. Solidarnost je u Uniji izostala i na početku epidemije, kada je Italija mjesec i pol dana uzaludno čekala pomoć. EU je osigurala novac za zemlje najpogođenije krizom, no ostaje dilema do koje je mjere korona doista uzdrmala same temelje Unije – zaključuje Kurečić.
