Lijekovi koji se koriste u liječenju HIV-a i malarije mogli bi zaustaviti koronavirus, vjeruju australski znanstvenici. Skupina infektologa sa Sveučilišta Queensland iz Brisbanea kažu da su dva lijeka koji već postoje pobijedila infekciju Covidom-19, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Chloroquine, lijek protiv malarije, i kombinacija lopinavir/ritonavir, kojim se tretiraju pacijenti zaraženi HIV-om, pokazali su obećavajuće rezultate i njihovom upotrebom je, tvrde znanstvenici, koronavirus 'nestao' kod zaraženih pacijenata.

Lijekovi se testiraju dok diljem svijeta znanstvenici pokušavaju pronaći cjepivo, lijek ili jedinstven tretman kojim bi se obračunali s koronavirusom.

Profesor David Paterson, jedan od istraživača sa Sveučilišta Queensland, nada se da će uspjeti potaknuti ljude u većem broju da se uključe u njhovo istraživanje do kraja mjeseca.

- Radi se o potencijalno efektivnom tretmanu. Pacijenti nakon terapije više nisu imali koronavirus u sebi, rekao je Paterson o učinku lopinavir/ritonavir tretmanu.

- Prvi val pacijenata koji nam je došao iz Kine, odlično je reagirao na taj lijek protiv HIV-a. Ono što mi želimo jest veliko kliničko istraživanje diljem Australije tijekom kojeg bismo usporedili kako djeluje jedan, kako drugi lijek, a kako djeluju u kombinaciji.

Lijek protiv HIV-a Lopinavir/ritonavir najčešće se prodaje pod nazivom Kaletra. Zaražene osobe uzimaju ga dvaput dnevno, a on reducira razinu virusa koji cirkulira tijelom. Kaletra se nalazi na američkom, europskom i australskom tržištu, a AbbVie, kompanija koja ga proizvodi, već je donirala pozamašan broj doza kineskim i američkim vlastima te WHO-u.

Chloroquine, lijek protiv malarije, djeluje zapravo kao cjepivo protiv te bolesti koju prenose komarci. Taj lijek ne liječi bolest već zaustavlja razvoj iste ako se uzme prije, za vrijeme ili nakon što netko posjeti riskantna područja.

Prema posljednjim podacima, u svijetu je danas gotovo 170.000 ljudi zaraženo koronavirusom. Prvi put ostatak svijeta ima veći broj slučajeva zaraze od Kine, zemlje u kojoj je pandemija ovog virusa i počela.

Dosad je od ove bolesti umrlo više od 6500 ljudi. Uspješno je izliječeno više od 77.000 ljudi.

Lijekovi koji se koriste u liječenju HIV-a i malarije mogli bi zaustaviti koronavirus, vjeruju australski znanstvenici. Skupina infektologa sa Sveučilišta Queensland iz Brisbanea kažu da su dva lijeka koji već postoje pobijedila infekciju Covidom-19, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Chloroquine, lijek protiv malarije, i kombinacija lopinavir/ritonavir, kojim se tretiraju pacijenti zaraženi HIV-om, pokazali su obećavajuće rezultate i njihovom upotrebom je, tvrde znanstvenici, koronavirus 'nestao' kod zaraženih pacijenata.

Lijekovi se testiraju dok diljem svijeta znanstvenici pokušavaju pronaći cjepivo, lijek ili jedinstven tretman kojim bi se obračunali s koronavirusom.

Profesor David Paterson, jedan od istraživača sa Sveučilišta Queensland, nada se da će uspjeti potaknuti ljude u većem broju da se uključe u njhovo istraživanje do kraja mjeseca.

- Radi se o potencijalno efektivnom tretmanu. Pacijenti nakon terapije više nisu imali koronavirus u sebi, rekao je Paterson o učinku lopinavir/ritonavir tretmanu.

- Prvi val pacijenata koji nam je došao iz Kine, odlično je reagirao na taj lijek protiv HIV-a. Ono što mi želimo jest veliko kliničko istraživanje diljem Australije tijekom kojeg bismo usporedili kako djeluje jedan, kako drugi lijek, a kako djeluju u kombinaciji.

Lijek protiv HIV-a Lopinavir/ritonavir najčešće se prodaje pod nazivom Kaletra. Zaražene osobe uzimaju ga dvaput dnevno, a on reducira razinu virusa koji cirkulira tijelom. Kaletra se nalazi na američkom, europskom i australskom tržištu, a AbbVie, kompanija koja ga proizvodi, već je donirala pozamašan broj doza kineskim i američkim vlastima te WHO-u.

Chloroquine, lijek protiv malarije, djeluje zapravo kao cjepivo protiv te bolesti koju prenose komarci. Taj lijek ne liječi bolest već zaustavlja razvoj iste ako se uzme prije, za vrijeme ili nakon što netko posjeti riskantna područja.

Prema posljednjim podacima, u svijetu je danas gotovo 170.000 ljudi zaraženo koronavirusom. Prvi put ostatak svijeta ima veći broj slučajeva zaraze od Kine, zemlje u kojoj je pandemija ovog virusa i počela.

Dosad je od ove bolesti umrlo više od 6500 ljudi. Uspješno je izliječeno više od 77.000 ljudi.

Lijekovi koji se koriste u liječenju HIV-a i malarije mogli bi zaustaviti koronavirus, vjeruju australski znanstvenici. Skupina infektologa sa Sveučilišta Queensland iz Brisbanea kažu da su dva lijeka koji već postoje pobijedila infekciju Covidom-19, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Chloroquine, lijek protiv malarije, i kombinacija lopinavir/ritonavir, kojim se tretiraju pacijenti zaraženi HIV-om, pokazali su obećavajuće rezultate i njihovom upotrebom je, tvrde znanstvenici, koronavirus 'nestao' kod zaraženih pacijenata.

Lijekovi se testiraju dok diljem svijeta znanstvenici pokušavaju pronaći cjepivo, lijek ili jedinstven tretman kojim bi se obračunali s koronavirusom.
