Uhićen je američki turist (40), koji je razbio dvije drevne skulpture u jeruzalemskom Muzeju Izraela, vodećoj kulturnoj ustanovi u toj zemlji.

Fotografije koje je objavila izraelska policija prikazuju dva drevna rimska kipa, koja datiraju iz 2. stoljeća, kako leže polomljeni na podu.

Policija tvrdi da je muškarac rušio skulpture jer smatra da su ‘protiv Tore‘, najvažnijeg spisa judaizma. Odvjetnik američkog turista je pak zanijekao da je njegova klijenta na vandalski čin potaknuo vjerski fanatizam, navodi AP, a prenosi Jutarnji list.

Razbijeni su kip glave Atene, kćeri grčkog boga Zeusa, i kip grifona koji hvata kotač sudbine rimskog boga Nemeze, izvijestio je Times of Israel. Obje skulpture su dio stalnog postava Muzeja Izraela te su sada premještene u konzervatorijski laboratorij radi profesionalne restauracije.

Izraelska policija nije objavila identitet uhićenog turista, koji je trenutno na ispitivanju.

Muzej Izraela nazvao je vandalski čin ‘zabrinjavajućim i neuobičajenim događajem‘ te osudio ‘sve oblike nasilja‘. Unatoč incidentu, ostat će otvoren za javnost.

Uhićen je američki turist (40), koji je razbio dvije drevne skulpture u jeruzalemskom Muzeju Izraela, vodećoj kulturnoj ustanovi u toj zemlji.

Fotografije koje je objavila izraelska policija prikazuju dva drevna rimska kipa, koja datiraju iz 2. stoljeća, kako leže polomljeni na podu.

Policija tvrdi da je muškarac rušio skulpture jer smatra da su ‘protiv Tore‘, najvažnijeg spisa judaizma. Odvjetnik američkog turista je pak zanijekao da je njegova klijenta na vandalski čin potaknuo vjerski fanatizam, navodi AP, a prenosi Jutarnji list.

Razbijeni su kip glave Atene, kćeri grčkog boga Zeusa, i kip grifona koji hvata kotač sudbine rimskog boga Nemeze, izvijestio je Times of Israel. Obje skulpture su dio stalnog postava Muzeja Izraela te su sada premještene u konzervatorijski laboratorij radi profesionalne restauracije.

Izraelska policija nije objavila identitet uhićenog turista, koji je trenutno na ispitivanju.

Muzej Izraela nazvao je vandalski čin ‘zabrinjavajućim i neuobičajenim događajem‘ te osudio ‘sve oblike nasilja‘. Unatoč incidentu, ostat će otvoren za javnost.

Američki turist razbijao drevne rimske kipove u muzeju, nastradala i božica Atena: ‘Riječ je o vjerskom fanatizmu‘

Uhićen je američki turist (40), koji je razbio dvije drevne skulpture u jeruzalemskom Muzeju Izraela, vodećoj kulturnoj ustanovi u toj zemlji.

Fotografije koje je objavila izraelska policija prikazuju dva drevna rimska kipa, koja datiraju iz 2. stoljeća, kako leže polomljeni na podu.

Policija tvrdi da je muškarac rušio skulpture jer smatra da su ‘protiv Tore‘, najvažnijeg spisa judaizma. Odvjetnik američkog turista je pak zanijekao da je njegova klijenta na vandalski čin potaknuo vjerski fanatizam, navodi AP, a prenosi Jutarnji list.

Razbijeni su kip glave Atene, kćeri grčkog boga Zeusa, i kip grifona koji hvata kotač sudbine rimskog boga Nemeze, izvijestio je Times of Israel. Obje skulpture su dio stalnog postava Muzeja Izraela te su sada premještene u konzervatorijski laboratorij radi profesionalne restauracije.

Izraelska policija nije objavila identitet uhićenog turista, koji je trenutno na ispitivanju.

Muzej Izraela nazvao je vandalski čin ‘zabrinjavajućim i neuobičajenim događajem‘ te osudio ‘sve oblike nasilja‘. Unatoč incidentu, ostat će otvoren za javnost.
