Američki Centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) priopćio je u srijedu kako su pronašli još slučajeva potencijalno po život opasnog zgrušavanja krvi među osobama koje su primile cjepivo Johnson&Johnson protiv covida-19 te vidi "vjerojatnu uzročnu povezanost".

CDC je izvijestio kako je identificirano 28 slučajeva tromboze sa sindromom trombocitopenije (TTS) među više od 8,7 milijuna ljudi koji su primili J&J cjepivo. TTS uključuje krvne ugruške popraćene niskom razinom trombocita - stanica u krvi koje pomažu kod zgrušavanja. 

Do sada je troje od njih 28 umrlo. Prethodno, 25. travnja, CDC je izvijestio o 17 slučajeva zgrušavanja na gotovo osam milijuna ljudi koji su primili cjepivo.

Koristi od cjepiva i dalje nadmašuju rizik i trenutno nisu potrebna ažuriranja politike cijepljenja, rekla je dužnosnica CDC-a Sara Oliver. 

Savjetodavni odbor za imunizacijske prakse (ACIP), koji savjetuje CDC, 23. travnja preporučio je da SAD ukine desetodnevnu stanku za uporabu cjepiva J&J-a koja je bila namijenjena preispitivanju podataka o sigurnosti po pitanju zgrušavanja.

CDC je u srijedu priopćio da događaji slične onima koji se promatraju nakon primjene AstraZenecina cjepiva u Europi.

Oba cjepiva temelje se na novoj tehnologiji koja koristi adenoviruse koji uzrokuju prehladu, a koji su modificirani kako bi bili bezopasni. Virusi se koriste za prijenos uputa u tijelo potrebnih za stvaranje specifičnih proteina koronavirusa, tako pripremajući imunološki sustav da stvara antitijela koja se bore protiv stvarnog virusa.

Znanstvenici rade na pronalasku potencijalnog mehanizma koji bi objasnio krvne ugruške. Vodeća hipoteza je da cjepiva izazivaju rijedak imunološki odgovor koji bi mogao biti povezan s tim virusnim vektorima.

Čini se da sindrom nije povezan s cjepivima protiv covida-19 koje proizvode Pfizer i Moderna.

Većina slučajeva pojavila se među ženama u dobi od 18 do 49 godina, rekao je CDC, s incidencijom od 12,4 slučajeva na milijun cijepljenih među ženama u dobi od 30 do 39 godina te 9,4 slučaja na milijun kod žena u dobi od 40 do 49 godina.

Samo šest identificiranih događaja zgrušavanja bilo je u muškaraca. Simptomi se obično javljaju unutar prvih nekoliko dana pa sve do dva tjedna nakon cijepljenja.

Članica ACIP-a i profesorica pedijatrije na Medicinskom fakultetu Sveučilišta Drexel Sarah Long, rekla je kako je vrlo zabrinuta odlukom CDC-a da ne postavlja nikakva dodatna ograničenja na cjepivo J&J-a. Mišljenja je da bi mlađe žene trebale biti obaviještene o rizicima i dati pristanak prije cijepljenja.

Američki Centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) priopćio je u srijedu kako su pronašli još slučajeva potencijalno po život opasnog zgrušavanja krvi među osobama koje su primile cjepivo Johnson&Johnson protiv covida-19 te vidi "vjerojatnu uzročnu povezanost".

CDC je izvijestio kako je identificirano 28 slučajeva tromboze sa sindromom trombocitopenije (TTS) među više od 8,7 milijuna ljudi koji su primili J&J cjepivo. TTS uključuje krvne ugruške popraćene niskom razinom trombocita - stanica u krvi koje pomažu kod zgrušavanja. 

Do sada je troje od njih 28 umrlo. Prethodno, 25. travnja, CDC je izvijestio o 17 slučajeva zgrušavanja na gotovo osam milijuna ljudi koji su primili cjepivo.

Koristi od cjepiva i dalje nadmašuju rizik i trenutno nisu potrebna ažuriranja politike cijepljenja, rekla je dužnosnica CDC-a Sara Oliver. 

Savjetodavni odbor za imunizacijske prakse (ACIP), koji savjetuje CDC, 23. travnja preporučio je da SAD ukine desetodnevnu stanku za uporabu cjepiva J&J-a koja je bila namijenjena preispitivanju podataka o sigurnosti po pitanju zgrušavanja.

CDC je u srijedu priopćio da događaji slične onima koji se promatraju nakon primjene AstraZenecina cjepiva u Europi.

Oba cjepiva temelje se na novoj tehnologiji koja koristi adenoviruse koji uzrokuju prehladu, a koji su modificirani kako bi bili bezopasni. Virusi se koriste za prijenos uputa u tijelo potrebnih za stvaranje specifičnih proteina koronavirusa, tako pripremajući imunološki sustav da stvara antitijela koja se bore protiv stvarnog virusa.

Znanstvenici rade na pronalasku potencijalnog mehanizma koji bi objasnio krvne ugruške. Vodeća hipoteza je da cjepiva izazivaju rijedak imunološki odgovor koji bi mogao biti povezan s tim virusnim vektorima.

Čini se da sindrom nije povezan s cjepivima protiv covida-19 koje proizvode Pfizer i Moderna.

Većina slučajeva pojavila se među ženama u dobi od 18 do 49 godina, rekao je CDC, s incidencijom od 12,4 slučajeva na milijun cijepljenih među ženama u dobi od 30 do 39 godina te 9,4 slučaja na milijun kod žena u dobi od 40 do 49 godina.

Samo šest identificiranih događaja zgrušavanja bilo je u muškaraca. Simptomi se obično javljaju unutar prvih nekoliko dana pa sve do dva tjedna nakon cijepljenja.

Članica ACIP-a i profesorica pedijatrije na Medicinskom fakultetu Sveučilišta Drexel Sarah Long, rekla je kako je vrlo zabrinuta odlukom CDC-a da ne postavlja nikakva dodatna ograničenja na cjepivo J&J-a. Mišljenja je da bi mlađe žene trebale biti obaviještene o rizicima i dati pristanak prije cijepljenja.

Američki CDC otkrio 28 slučajeva tromboze među 8,7 milijuna cijepljenih cjepivom Johnson&Johnson

Američki Centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) priopćio je u srijedu kako su pronašli još slučajeva potencijalno po život opasnog zgrušavanja krvi među osobama koje su primile cjepivo Johnson&Johnson protiv covida-19 te vidi "vjerojatnu uzročnu povezanost".

CDC je izvijestio kako je identificirano 28 slučajeva tromboze sa sindromom trombocitopenije (TTS) među više od 8,7 milijuna ljudi koji su primili J&J cjepivo. TTS uključuje krvne ugruške popraćene niskom razinom trombocita - stanica u krvi koje pomažu kod zgrušavanja. 

Do sada je troje od njih 28 umrlo. Prethodno, 25. travnja, CDC je izvijestio o 17 slučajeva zgrušavanja na gotovo osam milijuna ljudi koji su primili cjepivo.

Koristi od cjepiva i dalje nadmašuju rizik i trenutno nisu potrebna ažuriranja...
