“Svog sina mogu pogledati u oči bez da trepnem zbog navodnog početka procesa za ratne zločine!”, kazao je Hashim Thaci, predsjednik Kosova u video-poruci kojom se po prvi put nakon što je specijalni haaški tužitelj protiv njega podnio optužnicu na razmatranje obratio javnosti.

Thacija se tereti za ratne zločine i zločine protiv čovječnosti.

"Političke greške u miru sam možda i činio, ali ratne zločine nikada! Čak i kad bih se vratio u mračna vremena Slobodana Miloševića, ponovio bih istu stvar, odgovarajući na metak neprijatelja metkom željnim slobode, ne čineći greške prema građanima srpske, romske ili albanske nacionalnosti", dodao je. 

"Ukoliko navodi iz optužnice budu potvrđeni, istog trenutka ću podnijeti ostavku kao vaš predsjednik i suočiti se s njima", kazao je Thaci.

“Kosovo je nova država, ali njeni lideri se moraju ponašati kao pravi državnici. Nosit ću taj teret i braniti sebe, našu borbu za slobodu, sa svom snagom koju imam. Neću dozvoliti da ove lažne optužbe odvlače pozornost Kosova od zauzimanja mjesta u međunarodnoj zajednici, kao člana Ujedinjenih naroda, NATO-a i Europske unije”, naveo je Thaci.

Dodao je da je Kosovo “dom svih njegovih građana, europsko i multietničko društvo”.

“Još jednom kažem ne osveti i da međuetničkoj toleranciji”, kazao je, naglašavajući da samo izgradnjom građanske demokracije Kosovo gradi euroatlantsku budućnost.

Thaci je podvukao da ne zna da li je “slučajnost ili spletka” to što je nepotvrđena optužnica objavljena baš dok je on bio na putu ka Washingtonu, gdje se 27. lipnja trebao održati susret predstavnika Srbije i Kosova.

"To neće dovesti u pitanje moje ili povjerenje građana Kosova u vrijednosti SAD-a", naveo je Thaci.

“Svog sina mogu pogledati u oči bez da trepnem zbog navodnog početka procesa za ratne zločine!”, kazao je Hashim Thaci, predsjednik Kosova u video-poruci kojom se po prvi put nakon što je specijalni haaški tužitelj protiv njega podnio optužnicu na razmatranje obratio javnosti.

Thacija se tereti za ratne zločine i zločine protiv čovječnosti.

"Političke greške u miru sam možda i činio, ali ratne zločine nikada! Čak i kad bih se vratio u mračna vremena Slobodana Miloševića, ponovio bih istu stvar, odgovarajući na metak neprijatelja metkom željnim slobode, ne čineći greške prema građanima srpske, romske ili albanske nacionalnosti", dodao je. 

"Ukoliko navodi iz optužnice budu potvrđeni, istog trenutka ću podnijeti ostavku kao vaš predsjednik i suočiti se s njima", kazao je Thaci.

“Kosovo je nova država, ali njeni lideri se moraju ponašati kao pravi državnici. Nosit ću taj teret i braniti sebe, našu borbu za slobodu, sa svom snagom koju imam. Neću dozvoliti da ove lažne optužbe odvlače pozornost Kosova od zauzimanja mjesta u međunarodnoj zajednici, kao člana Ujedinjenih naroda, NATO-a i Europske unije”, naveo je Thaci.

Dodao je da je Kosovo “dom svih njegovih građana, europsko i multietničko društvo”.

“Još jednom kažem ne osveti i da međuetničkoj toleranciji”, kazao je, naglašavajući da samo izgradnjom građanske demokracije Kosovo gradi euroatlantsku budućnost.

Thaci je podvukao da ne zna da li je “slučajnost ili spletka” to što je nepotvrđena optužnica objavljena baš dok je on bio na putu ka Washingtonu, gdje se 27. lipnja trebao održati susret predstavnika Srbije i Kosova.

"To neće dovesti u pitanje moje ili povjerenje građana Kosova u vrijednosti SAD-a", naveo je Thaci.
