Svjetska banka (WB) upozorila je kako će pandemija covida-19 imati "teške posljedice" za gospodarstva zapadnog Balkana i da će oporavak i ovisiti o mjerama koje poduzmu vlasti.

U studiji objavljenoj u petak na mrežnim stranicama WB-a autori podsjećaju kako je već u redovitom ekonomskom izvještaju za tu regiju iz jeseni 2019. upozoreno da bi gospodarstvo moglo biti suočeno s ozbiljnim rizicima zbog očekivanog pada stope rasta na globalnoj i na regionalnoj razini, a stanje je sada zbog pandemije pogoršano.

Analitičari ističu kako je sigurno da će na zapadnom Balkanu doći do gašenja brojnih radnih mjesta i da bi bez odgovarajućeg odgovora vlada najmanje 400 tisuća stanovnika moglo pasti u siromaštvo, pri čemu bi financijskom udaru najteže bio izložen srednji sloj.

"Mnoga radna mjesta su privremena ili u neformalnom sektoru. Kako se COVID-19 kriza razvija vjerojatno je da će ta radna mjesta biti najviše zahvaćena gašenjem, uz anuliranje napretka ostvarenog prethodnih godina. Što je najgore, mnogi od tih radnika možda neće moći ostvariti prava na socijalnu zaštitu", navodi se u studiji Svjetske banke.

Istaknuo je i upozorenja kako je bitan izazov vladama pozorno upravljati likvidnošću da bi se izbjegla dalja eskalacija krize a istodobno osigurala pomoć onima kojima je to najpotrebnije.

Koliki će taj izazov biti ovisi o tome koliko će gospodarski zastoj trajati jer će budućnost bitno odrediti ritam kojim će se iscrpljivati rezerve kapitala i likvidnosti.

"Gdje god ima prostora za monetarnu ili fiskalnu politiku, sada je vrijeme da se to iskoristi za održavanje produktivnog kapaciteta ekonomije i funkcioniranje tržišta i za podršku i spašavanje ekonomija i egzistencije", navodi ser u analizi uz poziv vlastima zapadnog Balkana da se što prije fokusiraju na ponovno pokretanje gospodarstva.

Svjetska banka (WB) upozorila je kako će pandemija covida-19 imati "teške posljedice" za gospodarstva zapadnog Balkana i da će oporavak i ovisiti o mjerama koje poduzmu vlasti.

U studiji objavljenoj u petak na mrežnim stranicama WB-a autori podsjećaju kako je već u redovitom ekonomskom izvještaju za tu regiju iz jeseni 2019. upozoreno da bi gospodarstvo moglo biti suočeno s ozbiljnim rizicima zbog očekivanog pada stope rasta na globalnoj i na regionalnoj razini, a stanje je sada zbog pandemije pogoršano.

Analitičari ističu kako je sigurno da će na zapadnom Balkanu doći do gašenja brojnih radnih mjesta i da bi bez odgovarajućeg odgovora vlada najmanje 400 tisuća stanovnika moglo pasti u siromaštvo, pri čemu bi financijskom udaru najteže bio izložen srednji sloj.

"Mnoga radna mjesta su privremena ili u neformalnom sektoru. Kako se COVID-19 kriza razvija vjerojatno je da će ta radna mjesta biti najviše zahvaćena gašenjem, uz anuliranje napretka ostvarenog prethodnih godina. Što je najgore, mnogi od tih radnika možda neće moći ostvariti prava na socijalnu zaštitu", navodi se u studiji Svjetske banke.

Istaknuo je i upozorenja kako je bitan izazov vladama pozorno upravljati likvidnošću da bi se izbjegla dalja eskalacija krize a istodobno osigurala pomoć onima kojima je to najpotrebnije.

Koliki će taj izazov biti ovisi o tome koliko će gospodarski zastoj trajati jer će budućnost bitno odrediti ritam kojim će se iscrpljivati rezerve kapitala i likvidnosti.

"Gdje god ima prostora za monetarnu ili fiskalnu politiku, sada je vrijeme da se to iskoristi za održavanje produktivnog kapaciteta ekonomije i funkcioniranje tržišta i za podršku i spašavanje ekonomija i egzistencije", navodi ser u analizi uz poziv vlastima zapadnog Balkana da se što prije fokusiraju na ponovno pokretanje gospodarstva.

Svjetska banka (WB) upozorila je kako će pandemija covida-19 imati "teške posljedice" za gospodarstva zapadnog Balkana i da će oporavak i ovisiti o mjerama koje poduzmu vlasti.

U studiji objavljenoj u petak na mrežnim stranicama WB-a autori podsjećaju kako je već u redovitom ekonomskom izvještaju za tu regiju iz jeseni 2019. upozoreno da bi gospodarstvo moglo biti suočeno s ozbiljnim rizicima zbog očekivanog pada stope rasta na globalnoj i na regionalnoj razini, a stanje je sada zbog pandemije pogoršano.

Analitičari ističu kako je sigurno da će na zapadnom Balkanu doći do gašenja brojnih radnih mjesta i da bi bez odgovarajućeg odgovora vlada najmanje 400 tisuća stanovnika moglo pasti u siromaštvo, pri čemu bi financijskom udaru najteže bio izložen srednji sloj.
