Znanstvenik Ivan Đikić prokomentirao je za Dnevnik situaciju s omikronom, prenosi N1.

- Ako je stvarno pad broja hospitaliziranih, to je dobra stvar. Broj testiranja je, međutim, još uvijek upitan jer ne znamo točno koliko se testira, ne znamo je li uopće postotak testiranih relevantan i moramo biti oprezni - napomenuo je na početku.

Dodaje da je omikron također opasna varijanta, ali i da je dugoročno zaslužna za optimizam jer daje naslutiti da će se kolektivni imunitet razvijati brže i da ćemo iz ove pandemije uz dodatno cijepljenje moći prijeći u endemski oblik ove bolesti.

Problemi u sustavu

Đikić se zatim osvrnuo na udio zaraženih među testiranima.

- To je praktično nemjerljivo. Ako imate više od pedeset posto pozitivnih, gotovo da i ne treba testirati. No ono što je građanima važno je, ne samo da zaštite svoje obitelji, nego i za radna mjesta, pogotovo bolnice i socijalne ustanove i upravo zbog toga je važno da se osigura dodatno testiranje za one kojima je neophodno i važno je da to testiranje bude točno, precizno i na vrijeme napravljeno. Bilo je dosta probema u sustavu, pogotovo sada kada to moraju raditi i liječnici opće prakse, mislim da je to dodatno nepotrebno zbunjivanje liječnika i ljudi, a trebali smo napraviti puno više točnih, relevantnih centara koji mogu testirati one kojima je to potrebno - poručio je znanstvenik.

Razlozi za optimizam

Zatim je objasnio i koje su dobre strane ove varijante. 

- Omikron ima dvije komponente koje su važne za znati. To je da širi puno brže i da je evolucijski postao kao master širenja ovog virusa i to nas podsjeća na prehladu, koja je zbog blažih simptoma postala tolerantna bolest koju svake godine prođemo bez problema. Druga komponenta je da je omikron postao prijemčljiv tkivno na gornji dio respiratornog trakta pa ne uzrokuje toliko teške bolesti pluća - rekao je Đikić, prenosi N1.

Upozorava da kod starijih osoba i u rizičnim skupinama i omikron još uvijek uzrokuje smrtnost. Poručuje da tijekom proljeća moramo i dalje biti oprezni, dok će na ljeto biti razloga za optimizam. Tada bi moglo biti spremno i novo cjepivo.

- Tada ćemo građanima moći ponuditi i nove vrste cjepiva koje će možda biti specifično za omikron, ili ona koja će ciljano djelovati na različite vrste i varijante koronavirusa, a možda budu razvijena i ona koja će se davati preko sprejeva, dišnih puteva i na taj način ćemo do kraja godine ovu pandemiju podvesti pod kontrolu i prevesti je u endemske oblike - prenosi Đikić prve dobre vijesti.

Nova cjepiva

Rekao je i kako je važno ne cijepiti ljude prečesto s previše doza.

- Vidjelo se da je svaka od doza imala značajan zaštitni utjecaj, a ne negativni utjecaj na stvaranje zbunjujućeg ili nekontroliranog imunološkog odgovora na cjepivo. I u tom smislu znanstvene preporuke bile su opravdane. Ubuduće moramo imati kalendar cijepljenja i grupacije koje će biti cijepljene na temelju znanstvenih podataka - rekao je uspješni znanstvenik.

Vjeruje da će nova cjepiva biti namijenjena najugroženijima, kao i zemljama s manjom procijepljenošću. 

- Kada pogledate podatke, zemlja u kojoj je puno pocijepljenih, vrlo mali broj završava u bolnici, ljudi preboljevaju tu bolest blago i upravo radi cijepljenih i mladih koji imaju omikron on se širi jako brzo, a da ni ne znamo jer testiranja nisu na vrijeme. Imate začarani krug, no on će se produljiti još na mjesec dva - ponovno napominje.

Budimo odgovorni!

Na upit novinara o tome što bi poručio onima koji misle da se dobro sada zaraziti omikronom, Đikić odgovara da je to jako ozbiljna bolest koja utječe na zdravstveni sustav.

- U Hrvatskoj je i dalje neopravdano velik broj umrlih. I zato Vlada i Stožer trebaju donositi pravilne načine komunikacije s građanima da shvate da to nije jedna od blagih prehlada sada, da to nije bolest koju možemo ignorirati nego moramo i dalje biti agilni i aktivni i na vrijeme reagirati. Zasad je to ozbiljna i vrlo opasna bolest - ističe.

Đikić je objasnio i zašto smatra da je u Hrvatskoj ovoliki broj umrlih.

- Teško ćete vratiti 13.000 umrlih u Hrvatskoj, to je vrlo visoki broj na broj stanovnika. Što je uzrok tome, vjerojatno svi znamo. Mislim da je ta cijela saga, koja traje oko stožera, načina donošenja odluka, vrlo dugo čekanje na donošenje potrebnih odluka, dovelo do toga da se manje brine oko umrlih, a više oko politike. Sve to nije dobro i Hrvatska nema puno razloga biti zadovoljna ni sretna da smo među deset najgorih zemalja po broju umrlih na broj stanovnika - napominje.

Naposljetku je rekao kako je sada najvažnije dati podršku zdravstvenom osoblju u bolnicama koje je premoreno i preopterećeno.

- Građani također moraju preuzeti svoj dio odgovornosti da bismo smanjili broj umrlih - zaključuje Đikić.

- Ako je stvarno pad broja hospitaliziranih, to je dobra stvar. Broj testiranja je, međutim, još uvijek upitan jer ne znamo točno koliko se testira, ne znamo je li uopće postotak testiranih relevantan i moramo biti oprezni - napomenuo je na početku.

Dodaje da je omikron također opasna varijanta, ali i da je dugoročno zaslužna za optimizam jer daje naslutiti da će se kolektivni imunitet razvijati brže i da ćemo iz ove pandemije uz dodatno cijepljenje moći prijeći u endemski oblik ove bolesti.

Problemi u sustavu

Đikić se zatim osvrnuo na udio zaraženih među testiranima.

- To je praktično nemjerljivo. Ako imate više od pedeset posto pozitivnih, gotovo da i ne treba testirati. No ono što je građanima važno je, ne samo da zaštite svoje obitelji, nego i za radna mjesta, pogotovo bolnice i socijalne ustanove i upravo zbog toga je važno da se osigura dodatno testiranje za one kojima je neophodno i važno je da to testiranje bude točno, precizno i na vrijeme napravljeno. Bilo je dosta probema u sustavu, pogotovo sada kada to moraju raditi i liječnici opće prakse, mislim da je to dodatno nepotrebno zbunjivanje liječnika i ljudi, a trebali smo napraviti puno više točnih, relevantnih centara koji mogu testirati one kojima je to potrebno - poručio je znanstvenik.

Razlozi za optimizam

Zatim je objasnio i koje su dobre strane ove varijante. 

- Omikron ima dvije komponente koje su važne za znati. To je da širi puno brže i da je evolucijski postao kao master širenja ovog virusa i to nas podsjeća na prehladu, koja je zbog blažih simptoma postala tolerantna bolest koju svake godine prođemo bez problema. Druga komponenta je da je omikron postao prijemčljiv tkivno na gornji dio respiratornog trakta pa ne uzrokuje toliko teške bolesti pluća - rekao je Đikić, prenosi N1.

Upozorava da kod starijih osoba i u rizičnim skupinama i omikron još uvijek uzrokuje smrtnost. Poručuje da tijekom proljeća moramo i dalje biti oprezni, dok će na ljeto biti razloga za optimizam. Tada bi moglo biti spremno i novo cjepivo.

- Tada ćemo građanima moći ponuditi i nove vrste cjepiva koje će možda biti specifično za omikron, ili ona koja će ciljano djelovati na različite vrste i varijante koronavirusa, a možda budu razvijena i ona koja će se davati preko sprejeva, dišnih puteva i na taj način ćemo do kraja godine ovu pandemiju podvesti pod kontrolu i prevesti je u endemske oblike - prenosi Đikić prve dobre vijesti.

Nova cjepiva

Rekao je i kako je važno ne cijepiti ljude prečesto s previše doza.

- Vidjelo se da je svaka od doza imala značajan zaštitni utjecaj, a ne negativni utjecaj na stvaranje zbunjujućeg ili nekontroliranog imunološkog odgovora na cjepivo. I u tom smislu znanstvene preporuke bile su opravdane. Ubuduće moramo imati kalendar cijepljenja i grupacije koje će biti cijepljene na temelju znanstvenih podataka - rekao je uspješni znanstvenik.

Vjeruje da će nova cjepiva biti namijenjena najugroženijima, kao i zemljama s manjom procijepljenošću. 

- Kada pogledate podatke, zemlja u kojoj je puno pocijepljenih, vrlo mali broj završava u bolnici, ljudi preboljevaju tu bolest blago i upravo radi cijepljenih i mladih koji imaju omikron on se širi jako brzo, a da ni ne znamo jer testiranja nisu na vrijeme. Imate začarani krug, no on će se produljiti još na mjesec dva - ponovno napominje.

Budimo odgovorni!

Na upit novinara o tome što bi poručio onima koji misle da se dobro sada zaraziti omikronom, Đikić odgovara da je to jako ozbiljna bolest koja utječe na zdravstveni sustav.

- U Hrvatskoj je i dalje neopravdano velik broj umrlih. I zato Vlada i Stožer trebaju donositi pravilne načine komunikacije s građanima da shvate da to nije jedna od blagih prehlada sada, da to nije bolest koju možemo ignorirati nego moramo i dalje biti agilni i aktivni i na vrijeme reagirati. Zasad je to ozbiljna i vrlo opasna bolest - ističe.

Đikić je objasnio i zašto smatra da je u Hrvatskoj ovoliki broj umrlih.

- Teško ćete vratiti 13.000 umrlih u Hrvatskoj, to je vrlo visoki broj na broj stanovnika. Što je uzrok tome, vjerojatno svi znamo. Mislim da je ta cijela saga, koja traje oko stožera, načina donošenja odluka, vrlo dugo čekanje na donošenje potrebnih odluka, dovelo do toga da se manje brine oko umrlih, a više oko politike. Sve to nije dobro i Hrvatska nema puno razloga biti zadovoljna ni sretna da smo među deset najgorih zemalja po broju umrlih na broj stanovnika - napominje.

Naposljetku je rekao kako je sada najvažnije dati podršku zdravstvenom osoblju u bolnicama koje je premoreno i preopterećeno.

- Građani također moraju preuzeti svoj dio odgovornosti da bismo smanjili broj umrlih - zaključuje Đikić.
