Drama koja se u četvrtak oko 9 sati odvijala na osječkom Pješačkom mostu zaslugom osječkog kontakt policajca Davora Bognara sretno je okončana za 28-godišnjeg Osječanina koji je skokom u rijeku Dravu namjeravao počiniti suicid.
Nešto prije 9 sati mladić je biciklom prolazio gradom govoreći kako će se ubiti. To je sasvim slučajno dočuo kontakt policajac ozbiljno shvativši njegovu prijetnju zbog čega ga je odlučio pratiti.
Rastrojeni mladić došao je do nosača mosta gdje je parkirao bicikl i odšetao se do njegova središta. I ne znajući da se u njegovoj neposrednoj blizini nalazi policajac, prešao je zaštitnu ogradu i sjeo na rub mosta. Srećom, odmah je intervenirao policajac stupivši s njim u kontakt i vjerojatno ga već tada spriječio u nakani da skoči u hladnu i mutnu Dravu.
Prije nego što je počeo razgovor s mladićem Bognar je o sumnjivom ponašanju izvjestio Policijsku upravu i zatražio pojačanje. Dok je policajac vodio razgovor s mladim Osječaninom, do mosta je došla policijska ophodnja, a s njima i načelnik 1. Policijske postaje Marijan Ivić koji je, osposobljen za takve kritične situacije, nastavio pregovore i uvjeravanje mladića da odustane od nerazumnih namjera.
Nakon 45 minuta u tome je i uspio, a mladić je ponovno prešao zaštitnu ogradu vrativši se na središte mosta gdje se pridružio nazočnim policajcima. U njihovoj je pratnji došetao do vozila Hitne medicinske pomoći gdje je s dežurnim timom Hitne obavio desetominutni razgovor.
Nakon razgovora s dežurnim liječnikom koji je utvrdio da nije potrebna hospitalizacija, mladić je pušten iz vozila te je u pratnji policije prevezen na obavijesni razgovor u prostorije Policijske uprave.
Ondje je, kako doznajemo od glasnogovornice PU osječko-baranjske Edite Roterbauer, mladi Osječanin "otvorio dušu" i policiji iznio razloge zbog kojih se odlučio na tako drastičan čin koji ga je doveo do vrha mosta s kojega je razmišljao i o okončanju života.
Dok su trajali dramatični pregovori s mladićem, policija je alarmirala i Lučku kapetaniju koja je brodom ispod mosta bila spremna na intervenciju u slučaju potrebe. U vrijeme pregovora policija je blokirala pristup mostu s obje njegove strane tako da je Pješački most tih sat vremana bio zatvoren za kretanje.
Premda nismo uspjeli doznati što je bio pravi povod da se 28-godišnji Osječanin odlučio na pokušaj suicida, odnosno da je o njemu razmišljao, neke naznake i njegova ponašanja navode na pomisao da je mladić na ovaj način ipak samo želio na sebe skrenuti pozornost.

Drama koja se u četvrtak oko 9 sati odvijala na osječkom Pješačkom mostu zaslugom osječkog kontakt policajca Davora Bognara sretno je okončana za 28-godišnjeg Osječanina koji je skokom u rijeku Dravu namjeravao počiniti suicid.
Nešto prije 9 sati mladić je biciklom prolazio gradom govoreći kako će se ubiti. To je sasvim slučajno dočuo kontakt policajac ozbiljno shvativši njegovu prijetnju zbog čega ga je odlučio pratiti.
Rastrojeni mladić došao je do nosača mosta gdje je parkirao bicikl i odšetao se do njegova središta. I ne znajući da se u njegovoj neposrednoj blizini nalazi policajac, prešao je zaštitnu ogradu i sjeo na rub mosta. Srećom, odmah je intervenirao policajac stupivši s njim u kontakt i vjerojatno ga već tada spriječio u nakani da skoči u hladnu i mutnu Dravu.
Prije nego što je počeo razgovor s mladićem Bognar je o sumnjivom ponašanju izvjestio Policijsku upravu i zatražio pojačanje. Dok je policajac vodio razgovor s mladim Osječaninom, do mosta je došla policijska ophodnja, a s njima i načelnik 1. Policijske postaje Marijan Ivić koji je, osposobljen za takve kritične situacije, nastavio pregovore i uvjeravanje mladića da odustane od nerazumnih namjera.
Nakon 45 minuta u tome je i uspio, a mladić je ponovno prešao zaštitnu ogradu vrativši se na središte mosta gdje se pridružio nazočnim policajcima. U njihovoj je pratnji došetao do vozila Hitne medicinske pomoći gdje je s dežurnim timom Hitne obavio desetominutni razgovor.
Nakon razgovora s dežurnim liječnikom koji je utvrdio da nije potrebna hospitalizacija, mladić je pušten iz vozila te je u pratnji policije prevezen na obavijesni razgovor u prostorije Policijske uprave.
Ondje je, kako doznajemo od glasnogovornice PU osječko-baranjske Edite Roterbauer, mladi Osječanin "otvorio dušu" i policiji iznio razloge zbog kojih se odlučio na tako drastičan čin koji ga je doveo do vrha mosta s kojega je razmišljao i o okončanju života.
Dok su trajali dramatični pregovori s mladićem, policija je alarmirala i Lučku kapetaniju koja je brodom ispod mosta bila spremna na intervenciju u slučaju potrebe. U vrijeme pregovora policija je blokirala pristup mostu s obje njegove strane tako da je Pješački most tih sat vremana bio zatvoren za kretanje.
Premda nismo uspjeli doznati što je bio pravi povod da se 28-godišnji Osječanin odlučio na pokušaj suicida, odnosno da je o njemu razmišljao, neke naznake i njegova ponašanja navode na pomisao da je mladić na ovaj način ipak samo želio na sebe skrenuti pozornost.
