Benfica je kažnjena s gotovo 12 tisuća eura nakon utakmice protiv Casa Pije, koja je završila remijem (1-1). Najveći dio kazne (9.560 eura) pripada zbog nepropisnog ponašanja navijača i korištenja razne pirotehnike. No, Orlovi će morati platiti i 1.020 eura zbog rođendana Torcide.

Zašto? Poznato je prijateljstvo navijača Benfice i Hajduka, a povodom toga su Portugalci čestitali 73. rođendan Toricidi s transparentom i natpisom "Sretan Rođendan", koji možete pogledati OVDJE.

Iako je navijačkih prijateljstava mnogo te je najveći broj njih sklopljen iz zajedničkog animoziteta prema nekom drugom klubu, zbog prizemnih ili iz kojekakvih političkih motiva. No, prijateljstvo navijača Benfice i Hajduka poteklo je iz jednog sasvim drugačijeg razloga.

Sredinom devesetih Hrvatska je bila okupirana zemlja. Trećina teritorija bila je zauzeta, a Hajduk je u ljeto 1994. godine izbacio varšavsku Legiju i izborio povijesni nastup u Ligi prvaka. Splićani su dobili skupinu s Benficom, Anderlechtom i Steauom. Prvo kolo se igralo na Poljudu, a utakmica je završila remijem.

Tu počinje priča Torcide i No Name Boysa. Dana 18. rujna 1994., na povratku iz Splita, kombi s navijačima Benfice survao se u provaliju negdje u pirenejskim brdima. Trojica navijača: Gullit, Tino i Rita, poginuli su na licu mjesta.

Lisabon je tada bio zavijen u crno i malo kome je u tom trenutku bilo do nogometa. Međutim, gesta Torcide tom tužnom događaju dala je jedan puno viši smisao, a to što su napravili navijači Hajduka, u Portugalu pamte i četvrt stoljeća kasnije.

Dva mjeseca nakon tragedije u Lisabonu se igrao uzvrat. Grupica navijača Hajduka u sličnom kombiju odlučila je na putu u Lisabon odati počast poginulim kolegama. Vozili su se identičnim putevima, sličnim prijevoznim sredstvom kako bi zatvorili krug Gullita, Tina i Rite. Potez grupe torcidaša nije imao ambicije biti povijesni, trebalo je to biti samo odavanje počasti ljudima koji imaju iste ideale kao oni, svojoj portugalskoj braći, međutim, ono što se dogodilo na kultnom Luzu pamti se i danas.

Tada su pred sam početak utakmice Splićani polako i s puno pijeteta kročili travnjakom Luza kako bi položili cvijeće ispod tribine koja je za Gullita, Tina i Ritu predstavljala drugi dom. U tom trenutku se dogodilo nešto nevjerojatno. Više od 50 tisuća gledatelja je ustalo i ovacijama te skandiranjem Torcidi pozdravilo dirljiv čin navijača Hajduka, a tribine Luza izvjesile su ogromnu zastavu na kojoj je pisalo ‘‘Freedom for Croatia‘‘. Istu onu koju su tri poginula navijača Benfice donijela u Split u rujnu 1994., bila je to njihova zastava.

Benfica je kažnjena s gotovo 12 tisuća eura nakon utakmice protiv Casa Pije, koja je završila remijem (1-1). Najveći dio kazne (9.560 eura) pripada zbog nepropisnog ponašanja navijača i korištenja razne pirotehnike. No, Orlovi će morati platiti i 1.020 eura zbog rođendana Torcide.

Zašto? Poznato je prijateljstvo navijača Benfice i Hajduka, a povodom toga su Portugalci čestitali 73. rođendan Toricidi s transparentom i natpisom "Sretan Rođendan", koji možete pogledati OVDJE.

Iako je navijačkih prijateljstava mnogo te je najveći broj njih sklopljen iz zajedničkog animoziteta prema nekom drugom klubu, zbog prizemnih ili iz kojekakvih političkih motiva. No, prijateljstvo navijača Benfice i Hajduka poteklo je iz jednog sasvim drugačijeg razloga.

Sredinom devesetih Hrvatska je bila okupirana zemlja. Trećina teritorija bila je zauzeta, a Hajduk je u ljeto 1994. godine izbacio varšavsku Legiju i izborio povijesni nastup u Ligi prvaka. Splićani su dobili skupinu s Benficom, Anderlechtom i Steauom. Prvo kolo se igralo na Poljudu, a utakmica je završila remijem.

Tu počinje priča Torcide i No Name Boysa. Dana 18. rujna 1994., na povratku iz Splita, kombi s navijačima Benfice survao se u provaliju negdje u pirenejskim brdima. Trojica navijača: Gullit, Tino i Rita, poginuli su na licu mjesta.

Lisabon je tada bio zavijen u crno i malo kome je u tom trenutku bilo do nogometa. Međutim, gesta Torcide tom tužnom događaju dala je jedan puno viši smisao, a to što su napravili navijači Hajduka, u Portugalu pamte i četvrt stoljeća kasnije.

Dva mjeseca nakon tragedije u Lisabonu se igrao uzvrat. Grupica navijača Hajduka u sličnom kombiju odlučila je na putu u Lisabon odati počast poginulim kolegama. Vozili su se identičnim putevima, sličnim prijevoznim sredstvom kako bi zatvorili krug Gullita, Tina i Rite. Potez grupe torcidaša nije imao ambicije biti povijesni, trebalo je to biti samo odavanje počasti ljudima koji imaju iste ideale kao oni, svojoj portugalskoj braći, međutim, ono što se dogodilo na kultnom Luzu pamti se i danas.

Tada su pred sam početak utakmice Splićani polako i s puno pijeteta kročili travnjakom Luza kako bi položili cvijeće ispod tribine koja je za Gullita, Tina i Ritu predstavljala drugi dom. U tom trenutku se dogodilo nešto nevjerojatno. Više od 50 tisuća gledatelja je ustalo i ovacijama te skandiranjem Torcidi pozdravilo dirljiv čin navijača Hajduka, a tribine Luza izvjesile su ogromnu zastavu na kojoj je pisalo ‘‘Freedom for Croatia‘‘. Zbog rođendana Torcide masnu kaznu platio i slavni europski klub, mediji se raspisali o tome

Benfica je kažnjena s gotovo 12 tisuća eura nakon utakmice protiv Casa Pije, koja je završila remijem (1-1). Najveći dio kazne (9.560 eura) pripada zbog nepropisnog ponašanja navijača i korištenja razne pirotehnike. No, Orlovi će morati platiti i 1.020 eura zbog rođendana Torcide.

Zašto? Poznato je prijateljstvo navijača Benfice i Hajduka, a povodom toga su Portugalci čestitali 73. rođendan Toricidi s transparentom i natpisom "Sretan Rođendan", koji možete pogledati OVDJE.

Iako je navijačkih prijateljstava mnogo te je najveći broj njih sklopljen iz zajedničkog animoziteta prema nekom drugom klubu, zbog prizemnih ili iz kojekakvih političkih motiva. No, prijateljstvo navijača Benfice i Hajduka poteklo je iz jednog sasvim drugačijeg razloga.

Sredinom devesetih Hrvatska je bila okupirana zemlja. Trećina teritorija bila je zauzeta, a Hajduk je u ljeto 1994. godine izbacio varšavsku Legiju i izborio povijesni nastup u Ligi prvaka. Splićani su dobili skupinu s Benficom, Anderlechtom i Steauom. Prvo kolo se igralo na Poljudu, a utakmica je završila remijem.

Tu počinje priča Torcide i No Name Boysa. Dana 18. rujna 1994., na povratku iz Splita, kombi s navijačima Benfice survao se u provaliju negdje u pirenejskim brdima. Trojica navijača: Gullit, Tino i Rita, poginuli su na licu mjesta.

Lisabon je tada bio zavijen u crno i malo kome je u tom trenutku bilo do nogometa. Međutim, gesta Torcide tom tužnom događaju dala je jedan puno viši smisao, a to što su napravili navijači Hajduka, u Portugalu pamte i četvrt stoljeća kasnije.

Dva mjeseca nakon tragedije u Lisabonu se igrao uzvrat. Grupica navijača Hajduka u sličnom kombiju odlučila je na putu u Lisabon odati počast poginulim kolegama. Vozili su se identičnim putevima, sličnim prijevoznim sredstvom kako bi zatvorili krug Gullita, Tina i Rite. Potez grupe torcidaša nije imao ambicije biti povijesni, trebalo je to biti samo odavanje počasti ljudima koji imaju iste ideale kao oni, svojoj portugalskoj braći, međutim, ono što se dogodilo na kultnom Luzu pamti se i danas.
