Potvrđeno je da će se od ljeta 2021. godine igrati Svjetsko klupsko prvenstvo nogometaša po novim pravilima. Primijetiti se može, sa zime je sve skupa prebačeno na ljeto, što je već samo po sebi velika promjena, pišu Sportske novosti.

Isto tako, klupsko SP će u kalendaru zamijeniti dosadašnji Kup konfederacija, a održavat će se baš u istom ritmu, svake četiri godine, godinu ranije od Svjetskog prvenstva za reprezentacije.

Izvršni odbor krovne svjetske nogometne kuće je s 25:7 u glasovima presudio u korist promjena načina natjecanja na klupskom SP-u. Od 2021. će se dakle, igrati po modelu s 24 kluba. Osam skupina s po tri momčadi, a pobjednici svake ići će u četvrtfinale.

Što se europskih klubova tiče, bit će ih osam, a to su redom pobjednici Lige prvaka i Europske lige i prethodne četiri sezone. Za prvu u krug ulaze slavljenici u oba europska klupska natjecanja 2018., 2019., 2020. i 2021. godine. To znači da su svoje mjesto na novom klupskom SP-u već osigurali Real Madrid, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid i Chelsea.

Ipak, iz europskog udruženja klubova (ECA) stiže oštar odgovor FIFA-i.

Potvrđeno je da će se od ljeta 2021. godine igrati Svjetsko klupsko prvenstvo nogometaša po novim pravilima. Primijetiti se može, sa zime je sve skupa prebačeno na ljeto, što je već samo po sebi velika promjena, pišu Sportske novosti.

Isto tako, klupsko SP će u kalendaru zamijeniti dosadašnji Kup konfederacija, a održavat će se baš u istom ritmu, svake četiri godine, godinu ranije od Svjetskog prvenstva za reprezentacije.

Izvršni odbor krovne svjetske nogometne kuće je s 25:7 u glasovima presudio u korist promjena načina natjecanja na klupskom SP-u. Od 2021. će se dakle, igrati po modelu s 24 kluba. Osam skupina s po tri momčadi, a pobjednici svake ići će u četvrtfinale.

Što se europskih klubova tiče, bit će ih osam, a to su redom pobjednici Lige prvaka i Europske lige i prethodne četiri sezone. Za prvu u krug ulaze slavljenici u oba europska klupska natjecanja 2018., 2019., 2020. i 2021. godine. To znači da su svoje mjesto na novom klupskom SP-u već osigurali Real Madrid, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid i Chelsea.

Ipak, iz europskog udruženja klubova (ECA) stiže oštar odgovor FIFA-i.

- Odlučni smo protiv odobrenja bilo kakvih promjena klupskog SP-a! Možemo potvrditi da niti jedan klub iz našeg udruženja neće sudjelovati na tom natjecanju - stoji u pismu ECA-e upućenom FIFA-i.
