Nizozemac Max Verstappen (Red Bull) pobijedio je na Velikoj nagradi Australije u Formuli 1, voženoj na stazi Albert Park u Melbourneu, iako je u 48, krugu izletio sa staze.

Drugo mjesto pripalo je vozaču Mercedesa Lewisu Hamiltonu koji je istaknuo kako mu je ovo najbolji trkaći vikend ove sezone.

"Bila je to luda utrka. Veliko hvala svima u Australiji i Melbourneu. Imao sam najbolji tjedan. Vrijeme je bilo fantastično. Ova staza i grad nastavljaju prikazivati ​​sjajnu predstavu", rekao je sedmerostruki svjetski prvak. Hamilton se osvrnuo i na odustajanje svog momčadskog kolege Russella, čiji se bolid zapalio.

Nizozemac Max Verstappen (Red Bull) pobijedio je na Velikoj nagradi Australije u Formuli 1, voženoj na stazi Albert Park u Melbourneu, iako je u 48, krugu izletio sa staze.

Gradu Melbourneu sam učinio uslugu i pokosio im malo više trave, kazao je vozač Red Bulla Verstappen, koji je dodao da je imao jako dobar tempo na utrci Formule 1 u Australiji, te da je sretan zbog prve pobjede u toj zemlji.

Nizozemac je u 48. krugu pri uvjerljivom vodstvu na trenutak izletio sa staze, no to ga nije spriječilo u pobjedi.

"Gradu sam učinio uslugu i pokosio im malo više trave... Sjajno je pobijediti ovdje, moja prva pobjeda ovdje, i jako sam sretan," rekao je Verstappen.

Drugo mjesto pripalo je vozaču Mercedesa Lewisu Hamiltonu koji je istaknuo kako mu je ovo najbolji trkaći vikend ove sezone.

"Stvarno nesreća za Georgea danas, moramo to ispitati. Naša je pouzdanost općenito bila vrlo dobra", rekao je, dodajući da se još uvijek nije "povezao" s automobilom.

Do 101. pobjedničkog postolja stigao je vozač Aston Martina Fernando Alonso koji je rekao da je teško razumjeti neke stvari u samoj utrci.

"Danas smo imali rollercoaster. Puno stvari koje su se dogodile na početku i u zadnjih pola sata bilo je teško razumjeti... Prva crvena zastavica nam je pomogla jer su George i Carlos (Sainz) otišli u boks, ali druga nam nije pomogla. Pravi smo sretnici, treća i četvrta pozicija za momčad su nevjerojatan tjedan," rekao je 41-godišnji vozač, dodavši kako nakon tri treća mjesta želi barem jednodrugo poziciji u nastavku sezone.

U generalnom plasmanu vodi Verstappen sa 69 bodova, drugi je njegov kolega Sergio Perez sa 54, a treći Alonso sa 45 bodova. Sljedeća utrka je 30. travnja, za VN Azerbajdžana.

Verstappen nakon kaotične utrke u Melbourneu: ‘Gradu sam učinio uslugu i pokosio im malo više trave‘

Nizozemac Max Verstappen (Red Bull) pobijedio je na Velikoj nagradi Australije u Formuli 1, voženoj na stazi Albert Park u Melbourneu, iako je u 48, krugu izletio sa staze.

Gradu Melbourneu sam učinio uslugu i pokosio im malo više trave, kazao je vozač Red Bulla Verstappen, koji je dodao da je imao jako dobar tempo na utrci Formule 1 u Australiji, te da je sretan zbog prve pobjede u toj zemlji.

Verstappen je u Australiji upisao 37. pobjedu u karijeri, a utrku su obilježili incidenti i prekidi. Prvi prekid dogodio se u devetom krugu, nakon što je Alexander Albon iz Williamsa izletio sa staze, dok je utrka po drugi put prekinuta tri kruga prije kraja, kada je Kevinu Magnussenu iz Haasa pukla guma, koja je potom završila na stazi.
