Međunarodna biciklistička unija (UCI) objavila je u petak kako će na međunarodnim natjecanjima zabraniti sudjelovanje transrodnih sportašica koje su napravile tranziciju nakon puberteta.
Na izvanrednom sastanku održanom 5. srpnja, Upravni odbor Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) odlučio je prilagoditi trenutna pravila o nastupima transrodnih sportašica u natjecanjima koja su u UCI-jevom međunarodnom kalendaru.
Sastanak Upravnog odbora održan je nakon seminara o uvjetima sudjelovanja transrodnih sportašica na ženskim biciklističkim natjecanjima na kojem su sudjelovali različiti dionici - transrodni sportaši, stručnjaci iz znanstvene struke, pravnim i ljudskim pravima te sportskim institucijama.
Od sada će transrodnim sportašicama koje su napravile tranziciju nakon muškog puberteta biti zabranjeno sudjelovanje u ženskim natjecanjima. Nova pravila stupaju na snagu 17. srpnja ove godine, a mogu se promijeniti u budućnosti kako se znanstvena spoznaja razvija.
- Prije svega, UCI želi ponovno potvrditi da je biciklizam, kao natjecateljski sport, aktivnost u slobodno vrijeme ili prijevozno sredstvo, otvoren za sve, uključujući transrodne osobe, koje kao i sve druge potičemo da se bave našim sportom. Također, bih želio ponovno potvrditi da UCI u potpunosti poštuje i podržava pravo pojedinaca da odaberu spol koji odgovara njihovom rodnom identitetu, bez obzira na spol koji im je pripisan rođenjem - kazao je predsjednik UCI-ja David Lappartient.
- Međutim, dužnost UCI-ja je jamčiti, prije svega, jednake mogućnosti za sve natjecatelje u biciklističkim natjecanjima. Upravo je ovaj imperativ doveo UCI do zaključka da, s obzirom na trenutačno stanje znanstvenih spoznaja ne jamči takvu jednakost mogućnosti između transrodnih sportašica i cisrodnih sudionica. Od sada će sudjelovanje transrodnih sportašica koje su napravile tranziciju nakon muškog puberteta u ženskim natjecanjima u UCI međunarodnom kalendaru različitih disciplina biti zabranjeno u svim kategorijama - dodao je predsjednik UCI-ja u priopćenju za javnost.

Međunarodna biciklistička unija (UCI) objavila je u petak kako će na međunarodnim natjecanjima zabraniti sudjelovanje transrodnih sportašica koje su napravile tranziciju nakon puberteta.
Na izvanrednom sastanku održanom 5. srpnja, Upravni odbor Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) odlučio je prilagoditi trenutna pravila o nastupima transrodnih sportašica u natjecanjima koja su u UCI-jevom međunarodnom kalendaru.
Sastanak Upravnog odbora održan je nakon seminara o uvjetima sudjelovanja transrodnih sportašica na ženskim biciklističkim natjecanjima na kojem su sudjelovali različiti dionici - transrodni sportaši, stručnjaci iz znanstvene struke, pravnim i ljudskim pravima te sportskim institucijama.
Od sada će transrodnim sportašicama koje su napravile tranziciju nakon muškog puberteta biti zabranjeno sudjelovanje u ženskim natjecanjima. Nova pravila stupaju na snagu 17. srpnja ove godine, a mogu se promijeniti u budućnosti kako se znanstvena spoznaja razvija.
- Prije svega, UCI želi ponovno potvrditi da je biciklizam, kao natjecateljski sport, aktivnost u slobodno vrijeme ili prijevozno sredstvo, otvoren za sve, uključujući transrodne osobe, koje kao i sve druge potičemo da se bave našim sportom. Također, bih želio ponovno potvrditi da UCI u potpunosti poštuje i podržava pravo pojedinaca da odaberu spol koji odgovara njihovom rodnom identitetu, bez obzira na spol koji im je pripisan rođenjem - kazao je predsjednik UCI-ja David Lappartient.
- Međutim, dužnost UCI-ja je jamčiti, prije svega, jednake mogućnosti za sve natjecatelje u biciklističkim natjecanjima. Upravo je ovaj imperativ doveo UCI do zaključka da, s obzirom na trenutačno stanje znanstvenih spoznaja ne jamči takvu jednakost mogućnosti između transrodnih sportašica i cisrodnih sudionica. Od sada će sudjelovanje transrodnih sportašica koje su napravile tranziciju nakon muškog puberteta u ženskim natjecanjima u UCI međunarodnom kalendaru različitih disciplina biti zabranjeno u svim kategorijama - dodao je predsjednik UCI-ja u priopćenju za javnost.
