Organizatori utrke Svjetskog prvenstva formule 1 za Veliku nagradu Singapura odbacili su mogućnost održavanja ovog natjecanja bez nazočnosti gledatelja na tribinama, jer je to za njih neisplativo.

Time je dodatno pojačana sumnja da će ova utrka ulicama singapurskog Marina Baya biti održana 20. rujna, kako je to planirano revidiranim kalendarom. Prema tom planu sezona bi trebala započeti 5. srpnja na stazi Red Bull Ring u austrijskom Spielbergu, a nastaviti se u britanskom Silverstoneu, 19. srpnja.

Oba ta natjecanja trebala bi biti održana bez gledatelja na tribinama, ali vodstvo Formule 1 nije odbacilo mogućnost da na utrkama koje su na rasporedu u drugom dijelu sezone navijačima bude dopušten boravak uz stazu.

Promotori Velike nagrade Singapura u subotu su izjavili da su u otvorenom dijalogu s vodstvom Formule 1, ali dodali da "nije isplativo održati natjecanje bez navijača na tribinama.

"Naš gavni prioritet ostaje dobrobit i zdravlje naših fanova, volontera i svih Singapuraca", izjavio je glasnogovornik orgnizatora utrke dodajući da je potrebno oko tri mjeseca za pripremu ovog događaja.

Prošlogodišnju utrku ulicama Marina Baya je kroz dva kvalifikacijska i jedan natjecateljski dan uživo pratilo oko 268.000 ljudi, među kojima je bilo oko 40 posto stranaca. Na prošlogodišnjoj utrci slavio je Nijemac Sebastian Vettel u Ferrariju, što je bila posljednja pobjeda četverostrukog svjetskog prvaka koji će na kraju 2020. napustiti talijansku momčad.

Formula 1 još uvijek nije službeno objavila revidirani kalendar, nakon što su tri utrke otkazane, a sedam ih je odgođeno.

Singapur je sa gotovo 27.000 pozitivnih slučajeva najteže pogođena azijska država po prosjeku zaraženih, što se najviše pripisuje velikim žarištima među stranim radnicima koji su smješteni u vrlo skučenim prostorima.

Singapurska vlada je odredila mjeru opće izolacije najmanje do 1. lipnja.

Prema tom planu sezona bi trebala započeti 5. srpnja na stazi Red Bull Ring u austrijskom Spielbergu, a nastaviti se u britanskom Silverstoneu, 19. srpnja.

Promotori Velike nagrade Singapura u subotu su izjavili da su u otvorenom dijalogu s vodstvom Formule 1, ali dodali da "nije isplativo održati natjecanje bez navijača na tribinama.

"Naš gavni prioritet ostaje dobrobit i zdravlje naših fanova, volontera i svih Singapuraca", izjavio je glasnogovornik orgnizatora utrke dodajući da je potrebno oko tri mjeseca za pripremu ovog događaja.

Prošlogodišnju utrku ulicama Marina Baya je kroz dva kvalifikacijska i jedan natjecateljski dan uživo pratilo oko 268.000 ljudi, među kojima je bilo oko 40 posto stranaca. Na prošlogodišnjoj utrci slavio je Nijemac Sebastian Vettel u Ferrariju, što je bila posljednja pobjeda četverostrukog svjetskog prvaka koji će na kraju 2020. napustiti talijansku momčad.

Formula 1 još uvijek nije službeno objavila revidirani kalendar, nakon što su tri utrke otkazane, a sedam ih je odgođeno.

Singapur je sa gotovo 27.000 pozitivnih slučajeva najteže pogođena azijska država po prosjeku zaraženih, što se najviše pripisuje velikim žarištima među stranim radnicima koji su smješteni u vrlo skučenim prostorima.

Singapurska vlada je odredila mjeru opće izolacije najmanje do 1. lipnja.
