Južnoafrički triatlonac Mhlengi Gwala napadnut je blizu grada Durbana i trojica napadača su mu pokušala odrezati nogu.

"U utorak u tri sata ujutro Gwala je išao naći se s prijateljem s kojim je trebao trenirati kada su ga napala trojica napadača", izjavio je Dennis Jackson, direktor organizacije koja pruža potporu sportašima u Durbanu.

Banda je pokušala odrezati noge Mhlengiju Gwali uz pomoć pile, dodao je.

"Ti su dečki iskočili iz grmlja. Pomislio je da ga žele opljačkati pa im je ponudio svoj telefon, novčanik i bicikl", posvjedočio je Gwalin prijatelj Sandile Shange.

"Međutim, oni to nisu htjeli. Uzeli su pilu. Dvojica su držala gornji dio njegovog tijela dok je drugi rezao nogu. Mislim da su stigli do kosti i onda nisu mogli dalje. Onda su pokušali odrezati drugu nogu", ispričao je Shange.

"Prema Mhlengiju, pila je bila jako hrđava",dodao je kazavši kako su napadači pobjegli kada je naišla sigurnosna ophodnja.

Mladi triatlonac je "operiran kako bi mu se spasila noga. Liječnici su optimistični", kazao je Dennis Jackson kojem nisu jasni motivi napadača. 

Gwala "je nevjerojatna osoba, prijateljski raspoložen prema svima i veliki ambasador sporta", napomenuo je Jackson. 

"Potpuno odvratan napad", reakcija je južnoafričkog triatlonca Henrija Schoemana, osvajača brončane medalje na OI u Rio de Janeiru.

Prema policijskim podacima, Južnoafrička Republika bilježi vrlo visoku stopu kriminala sa 51 ubojstava dnevno.

Južnoafrički triatlonac Mhlengi Gwala napadnut je blizu grada Durbana i trojica napadača su mu pokušala odrezati nogu.

"U utorak u tri sata ujutro Gwala je išao naći se s prijateljem s kojim je trebao trenirati kada su ga napala trojica napadača", izjavio je Dennis Jackson, direktor organizacije koja pruža potporu sportašima u Durbanu.

Banda je pokušala odrezati noge Mhlengiju Gwali uz pomoć pile, dodao je.

"Ti su dečki iskočili iz grmlja. Pomislio je da ga žele opljačkati pa im je ponudio svoj telefon, novčanik i bicikl", posvjedočio je Gwalin prijatelj Sandile Shange.

"Međutim, oni to nisu htjeli. Uzeli su pilu. Dvojica su držala gornji dio njegovog tijela dok je drugi rezao nogu. Mislim da su stigli do kosti i onda nisu mogli dalje. Onda su pokušali odrezati drugu nogu", ispričao je Shange.

"Prema Mhlengiju, pila je bila jako hrđava",dodao je kazavši kako su napadači pobjegli kada je naišla sigurnosna ophodnja.

Mladi triatlonac je "operiran kako bi mu se spasila noga. Liječnici su optimistični", kazao je Dennis Jackson kojem nisu jasni motivi napadača. 

Gwala "je nevjerojatna osoba, prijateljski raspoložen prema svima i veliki ambasador sporta", napomenuo je Jackson. 

"Potpuno odvratan napad", reakcija je južnoafričkog triatlonca Henrija Schoemana, osvajača brončane medalje na OI u Rio de Janeiru.

Prema policijskim podacima, Južnoafrička Republika bilježi vrlo visoku stopu kriminala sa 51 ubojstava dnevno.
