Matjaž Kek, nesuđeni trener Hajduka, uvijek ćemo ga tako titulirati, poseban je sugovornik, pogotovo uoči jadranskog derbija.
Današnji izbornik reprezentacije Slovenije za kormilom Rijeke nanizao je minulog desetljeća (ne)čuvenu seriju uspjeha u jadranskim derbijima. A jesenas je dugo figurirao kao prvi izbor Lukše Jakobušića da ga dovede kao „trenera kapitalca”.
Premda ga prati glas da je u mladosti, kao vezni igrač Maribora simpatizirao baš Hajduk, za kormilom Rijeke Kek je postao kompleks Hajduka. Doslovce nepobjediv dugi niz godina. Postao je vruća želja da ga se jednom dovede baš za kormilo splitske momčadi.
‘Hajduk je velik klub, ponašao sam se u skladu s time’
U žarištu nesuđenog transfera iz „dežele” na klupu Hajduka, prije Nove godine, nakon što je smijenjen Hari Vukas, a postavljen Boro Primorac, Kek je izbjegavao eksplicitan odgovor. Je li ga Hajduk zvao? Obećao se javiti kad prođe neko vrijeme i to vrijeme, više od dva mjeseca, prošlo je. Odazvao nam se iz Maribora:
- Rekao sam da mi se javite, sad je dobra prigoda, igraju Rijeka i Hajduk. Pa, pitajte...
Je li vas Hajduk zvao?
- Ja sad ne bih pričao o tome jer Hajduk ima novog trenera koji zaslužuje apsolutnu podršku – izbjegao je u startu. Ali...
Nećemo vas pitati jeste li se i gdje sreli sa čelnicima „bijelih”, ali barem to da vas je Hajduk zvao, da priznate, to bi nam olakšalo dušu?
- Vidite, nezgodan je moment i sada o tome pričati. Možda jednom. Kažem, kolega Talijan na klupi Hajduka zaslužuje apsolutan respekt.
Slažemo se, ali Talijan, svaka čast Tramezzaniju, ne zna kakva je psihoza zavladala te jesenske večeri u Splitu. Pronio se glas da sutradan potpisujete i da ćete biti predstavljeni. Bilo je to između gostovanja Hajduka u Koprivnici i u Zagrebu kod Lokomotive. To nije bilo točno, ali čekalo vas se raširenih ruku...
- Ovako da vam kažem... (zastao je). Nisu postojale opcije da napustim Sloveniju.
Puno ste nam već rekli.
- Hajduk je velik i korektan klub, ja sam se ponašao u skladu s time... I nije to išlo da dođem. Imam ugovor sa slovenskim Savezom, počinje nam novi ciklus kvalifikacija i sve to skupa ... Ne, nije bila opcija da napustim reprezentaciju uz važeći ugovor sa Savezom. To je za mene bila misao vodilja.
Vrlo jasno, hvala vam. A kako gledate na subotnji susret Rijeke i Hajduka?
- Dovoljno je reći jadranski derbi, to je otrcano, ali i duboko. Ta je utakmica uvijek posebna.
Vi ste u njoj godinama bili višestruki pobjednik. U čemu je vaša formula? Hajduk u pravilu nije pronalazio cjepivo.
- Ma, nema čarobnog štapića!
‘Čujem se s Rožmanom’
Ima li barem neki detalj u vašoj pripremi tih utakmica?
- Ispričat ću vam, dovoljno je bilo samo jedno. Da na ploči u svlačionici, ako smo domaćini ili kad krenemo autobusom put Splita gore na vrh, kod šofera stavim tablu s natpisom: Hajduk! Tu onda ne treba nikakav dodatni motiv.
Samo to?
- Pa treba poznavati mentalitet oba kluba i koliko im je ta utakmica važna, na obje strane. Duple premije ne trebaju, to su gluposti, ne treba izmišljati toplu vodu. Nego otvoreni gard. To je utakmica koju oba kluba posebno proživljavaju. Hajduk je možda svo to vrijeme imao svojih problema, ali za prestiž se uvijek sve davalo.
Prije dva tjedna Hajduk je pobijedio u Rijeci i evo ga opet?
- I zapravo svi sve znaju jedni o drugima.
Hajduk je ipak mijenjao dosta, poslao Caktaša u drugu momčad, doveo pojačanja?
- Hajduk ima tri nova igrača i uvijek posebna očekivanja, bit će zanimljivo to vidjeti.
Rijeka nije u dobrom trenutku, javlja li vam se kolega Simon Rožman za savjet, za pomoć?
- Čujte, Rožman je iz Slovenije, logično je da se povremeno čujemo, Slovenci smo... Ali, nije to sad nešto učestalo. I u većim klubovima se uđe u seriju loših rezultata. Mene nešto drugo brine.
Kažite nam?
- Jadranski derbi, a četvrti su i peti na tabeli. Tu se postavlja pitanje. Kako? To se ja pitam. To su mjesta koja ne zadovoljavaju ni jedne, ni druge. Znači nešto ne štima. Zato će i subotnja utakmica biti posebna.

Hrvatska je favorit skupine, ali i mi možemo proći
Stiže uskoro reprezentativni ciklus?
- I to žestok ritam, tri utakmice u sedam dana je nametnuto, nema treninga, za trenere najgore. Dočekujemo Hrvatsku 24. ožujka u Ljubljani. I nema drugog motiva nego reći stiže nam svjetski viceprvak. Skupina je zahtjevna, Hrvatska,
pa Rusija, Slovačka... Zna se tko je favorit, Hrvatska, ali kakav bih ja bio izbornik kad ne bih vjerovao da i mi možemo proći.
Igrali su sad Atalanta – Real, kao predigra tom meču u Stožicama, vaš Iličić na Modrića, je li se Iličić dobro oporavio od tjeskobe?
- Zadovoljan sam kako se vratio, on nam je najvažniji uz vratara Oblaka. A što da kažem o Modriću? Ne treba trošit riječi...

Matjaž Kek, nesuđeni trener Hajduka, uvijek ćemo ga tako titulirati, poseban je sugovornik, pogotovo uoči jadranskog derbija.
Današnji izbornik reprezentacije Slovenije za kormilom Rijeke nanizao je minulog desetljeća (ne)čuvenu seriju uspjeha u jadranskim derbijima. A jesenas je dugo figurirao kao prvi izbor Lukše Jakobušića da ga dovede kao „trenera kapitalca”.
Premda ga prati glas da je u mladosti, kao vezni igrač Maribora simpatizirao baš Hajduk, za kormilom Rijeke Kek je postao kompleks Hajduka. Doslovce nepobjediv dugi niz godina. Postao je vruća želja da ga se jednom dovede baš za kormilo splitske momčadi.
‘Hajduk je velik klub, ponašao sam se u skladu s time’
U žarištu nesuđenog transfera iz „dežele” na klupu Hajduka, prije Nove godine, nakon što je smijenjen Hari Vukas, a postavljen Boro Primorac, Kek je izbjegavao eksplicitan odgovor. Je li ga Hajduk zvao? Obećao se javiti kad prođe neko vrijeme i to vrijeme, više od dva mjeseca, prošlo je. Odazvao nam se iz Maribora:
- Rekao sam da mi se javite, sad je dobra prigoda, igraju Rijeka i Hajduk. Pa, pitajte...
Je li vas Hajduk zvao?
- Ja sad ne bih pričao o tome jer Hajduk ima novog trenera koji zaslužuje apsolutnu podršku – izbjegao je u startu. Ali...
Nećemo vas pitati jeste li se i gdje sreli sa čelnicima „bijelih”, ali barem to da vas je Hajduk zvao, da priznate, to bi nam olakšalo dušu?
- Vidite, nezgodan je moment i sada o tome pričati. Možda jednom. Kažem, kolega Talijan na klupi Hajduka zaslužuje apsolutan respekt.
Slažemo se, ali Talijan, svaka čast Tramezzaniju, ne zna kakva je psihoza zavladala te jesenske večeri u Splitu. Pronio se glas da sutradan potpisujete i da ćete biti predstavljeni. Bilo je to između gostovanja Hajduka u Koprivnici i u Zagrebu kod Lokomotive. To nije bilo točno, ali čekalo vas se raširenih ruku...
- Ovako da vam kažem... (zastao je). Nisu postojale opcije da napustim Sloveniju.
Puno ste nam već rekli.
- Hajduk je velik i korektan klub, ja sam se ponašao u skladu s time... I nije to išlo da dođem. Imam ugovor sa slovenskim Savezom, počinje nam novi ciklus kvalifikacija i sve to skupa ... Ne, nije bila opcija da napustim reprezentaciju uz važeći ugovor sa Savezom. To je za mene bila misao vodilja.
Vrlo jasno, hvala vam. A kako gledate na subotnji susret Rijeke i Hajduka?
- Dovoljno je reći jadranski derbi, to je otrcano, ali i duboko. Ta je utakmica uvijek posebna.
Vi ste u njoj godinama bili višestruki pobjednik. U čemu je vaša formula? Hajduk u pravilu nije pronalazio cjepivo.
- Ma, nema čarobnog štapića!
‘Čujem se s Rožmanom’
Ima li barem neki detalj u vašoj pripremi tih utakmica?
- Ispričat ću vam, dovoljno je bilo samo jedno. Da na ploči u svlačionici, ako smo domaćini ili kad krenemo autobusom put Splita gore na vrh, kod šofera stavim tablu s natpisom: Hajduk! Tu onda ne treba nikakav dodatni motiv.
Samo to?
- Pa treba poznavati mentalitet oba kluba i koliko im je ta utakmica važna, na obje strane. Duple premije ne trebaju, to su gluposti, ne treba izmišljati toplu vodu. Nego otvoreni gard. To je utakmica koju oba kluba posebno proživljavaju. Hajduk je možda svo to vrijeme imao svojih problema, ali za prestiž se uvijek sve davalo.
Prije dva tjedna Hajduk je pobijedio u Rijeci i evo ga opet?
- I zapravo svi sve znaju jedni o drugima.
Hajduk je ipak mijenjao dosta, poslao Caktaša u drugu momčad, doveo pojačanja?
- Hajduk ima tri nova igrača i uvijek posebna očekivanja, bit će zanimljivo to vidjeti.
Rijeka nije u dobrom trenutku, javlja li vam se kolega Simon Rožman za savjet, za pomoć?
- Čujte, Rožman je iz Slovenije, logično je da se povremeno čujemo, Slovenci smo... Ali, nije to sad nešto učestalo. I u većim klubovima se uđe u seriju loših rezultata. Mene nešto drugo brine.
Kažite nam?
- Jadranski derbi, a četvrti su i peti na tabeli. Tu se postavlja pitanje. Kako? To se ja pitam. To su mjesta koja ne zadovoljavaju ni jedne, ni druge. Znači nešto ne štima. Zato će i subotnja utakmica biti posebna.
Pozdrav je glasio - čujemo se, gospod Matjaž. I vidimo. I opet ćemo nastavit priču o Hajduku. Za godinu, dvije, nikad ne reci nikad.

Hrvatska je favorit skupine, ali i mi možemo proći
Stiže uskoro reprezentativni ciklus?
- I to žestok ritam, tri utakmice u sedam dana je nametnuto, nema treninga, za trenere najgore. Dočekujemo Hrvatsku 24. ožujka u Ljubljani. I nema drugog motiva nego reći stiže nam svjetski viceprvak. Skupina je zahtjevna, Hrvatska,
pa Rusija, Slovačka... Zna se tko je favorit, Hrvatska, ali kakav bih ja bio izbornik kad ne bih vjerovao da i mi možemo proći.
Igrali su sad Atalanta – Real, kao predigra tom meču u Stožicama, vaš Iličić na Modrića, je li se Iličić dobro oporavio od tjeskobe?
- Zadovoljan sam kako se vratio, on nam je najvažniji uz vratara Oblaka. A što da kažem o Modriću? Ne treba trošit riječi...
