Dimitrios Diamantakos otišao je na posudbu u izraelski Ashdod, nakon što je ove sezone upisao osam nastupa i odigrao samo 188 minuta u svim natjecanjima u dresu Hajduka. S obzirom na to da je od svog dolaska na Poljud u srpnju 2020. postigao samo dva gola i upisao jednu asistenciju (na način da je izborio kazneni udarac), može se reći da nikome u Splitu neće posebno nedostajati.

No, iako se razlozi njegovih neuvjerljivih igara dijelom trebaju tražiti u njegovoj kvaliteti, ali i ozljedama, Grk je prije svega žrtva jednog perioda u klubu kada su se stvari još uvijek radile na način na koji se jednostavno nisu trebale raditi.

Diamantakos je među Bijele došao pri kraju sezone 2019./20., s tim da je pravo nastupa imao tek od sljedeće sezone, a predstavljen je kao „pravi napadač”, odnosno tip igrača kakvog je Igor Tudor stalno zazivao. Grk je na Poljud stigao kao slobodan igrač koji je prije toga dvije i pol sezone branio boje njemačkog drugoligaša St. Paulija. Tamo je postigao 20 pogodaka u 52 službena susreta, ali ono što je privuklo tadašnji dvojac zadužen za sportsku politiku, Marija Stanića i Ivana Kepčiju, bilo je to što je u sezoni 2019./20. postigao 11 pogodaka u 21 nastupu u drugom razredu njemačkog nogometa.

Grčki napadač predstavio se splitskoj publici na najbolji mogući način, postigavši pogodak već u svom prvom nastupu u bijelom dresu. Diamantakos je u 3. kolu HNL-a postigao sjajan gol za 1:1 protiv Slaven Belupa (susret je završio 2:2), kada je primio dodavanje Bassela Jradija okrenut leđima golom, „okrenuo” Gorana Parackog i ljevicom sjajno pogodio suprotni kut Ivana Filipovića.

 


Tu utakmicu, a i sljedeće četiri (protiv Dinama, Varaždina, Gorice i Šibenika), odigrao je svih 90 minuta, dok je protiv Istre izašao u 80. minuti. U navedenom periodu više nije postigao pogodak, iako je upravo to bilo ono zbog čega je i bio doveden, ali se po njegovim kretnjama i tehničkim mogućnostima moglo vidjeti da se radi o ozbiljnom i školovanom igraču. Ipak, najveći problem je bio u tome što je Tudor otišao i prije njegovog debija za Hajduk, dok je Hari Vukas dobio otkaz upravo nakon tog susreta s Istrom.

Stanić i Kepčija također su u međuvremenu otišli iz kluba, kao i predsjednik Marin Brbić, što je značilo da su nakon samo četiri mjeseca Hajduk napustili svi oni koji su Diamantakosa željeli. Jens Gustafsson u svibnju prošle godine postao je peti Diamantakosov trener u manje od godinu dana, a ako tu pribrojimo i pojavu mladih talenata Stipe Biuka i Marina Ljubičića te dolaske Marka Livaje i Jana Mlakara, jasno je zašto se Diamantakos od „pravog napadača” koji je klubu potreban pretvorio u čovjeka koji protiv Primorca iz Biograda 45 minuta besmisleno luta po terenu.

Grčki napadač od spomenutog susreta s Istrom pa do danas startao je u samo šest utakmica u svim natjecanjima i pritom na terenu proveo ukupno 670 minuta, a jedini gol u tom periodu postigao je u porazu od Gorice na Poljudu (2:4), kada je zabio gol za 2:2.

Njegov odlazak s Poljuda stoga je bio neminovan, a bez obzira na to što Ashdod nije preuzeo cijelu njegovu plaću, već samo dio, realnost je takva da Hajduk vjerojatno ništa više nije mogao izvući od Diamantakosa. Čak i kada je dolazio kao veliko pojačanje, bilo je upitno posjeduje li Grk zaista kvalitetu koja će Bijelima donijeti dimenziju više, a nakon svih turbulencija u klubu postalo je jasno da za takvo nešto više nema šanse.

 


Navijači Hajduka Diamantakosa će uglavnom pamtiti kao golgetera koji nije zabijao, što je etiketa od koje ne može pobjeći. Jednostavno, čovjek je bio doveden da postiže golove, a to nije radio. No, svakom igraču potreban je određeni period prilagodbe na novo okruženje i nove zahtjeve, a Grk je imao tu nesreću da su se treneri na klupi Bijelih mijenjali tolikom brzinom da se nije ni imao vremena prilagoditi na njihove zahtjeve, dok ne treba zanemariti ni to da su i Hari Vukas („neslužbeno”) i Boro Primorac („službeno”) bili samo vršitelji dužnosti. A ni Paolo Tramezzani nije bio daleko od toga.

Rastanak Hajduka i Diamantakosa djeluje kao najbolja opcija za obje strane, jer Bijelima on danas ne treba, dok će i samom igraču dobro doći nova prilika za dokazivanje. Realnost je takva da bi ostankom na Poljudu samo „životario” i skupljao „mrvice” na terenu.

Neuspješna epizoda Dimitriosa Diamantakosa u Hajduku u suštini nije nešto posebno dramatično, ali priča grčkog napadača ostat će svjedočanstvo jednog vremena i mozaik svega onoga što je u tom periodu bilo disfunkcionalno u splitskom klubu.

Dimitrios Diamantakos otišao je na posudbu u izraelski Ashdod, nakon što je ove sezone upisao osam nastupa i odigrao samo 188 minuta u svim natjecanjima u dresu Hajduka. S obzirom na to da je od svog dolaska na Poljud u srpnju 2020. postigao samo dva gola i upisao jednu asistenciju (na način da je izborio kazneni udarac), može se reći da nikome u Splitu neće posebno nedostajati.

Diamantakos je među Bijele došao pri kraju sezone 2019./20., s tim da je pravo nastupa imao tek od sljedeće sezone, a predstavljen je kao „pravi napadač”, odnosno tip igrača kakvog je Igor Tudor stalno zazivao. Grk je na Poljud stigao kao slobodan igrač koji je prije toga dvije i pol sezone branio boje njemačkog drugoligaša St. Paulija. Tamo je postigao 20 pogodaka u 52 službena susreta, ali ono što je privuklo tadašnji dvojac zadužen za sportsku politiku, Marija Stanića i Ivana Kepčiju, bilo je to što je u sezoni 2019./20. postigao 11 pogodaka u 21 nastupu u drugom razredu njemačkog nogometa.

Grčki napadač predstavio se splitskoj publici na najbolji mogući način, postigavši pogodak već u svom prvom nastupu u bijelom dresu. Diamantakos je u 3. kolu HNL-a postigao sjajan gol za 1:1 protiv Slaven Belupa (susret je završio 2:2), kada je primio dodavanje Bassela Jradija okrenut leđima golom, „okrenuo” Gorana Parackog i ljevicom sjajno pogodio suprotni kut Ivana Filipovića.

 


Tu utakmicu, a i sljedeće četiri (protiv Dinama, Varaždina, Gorice i Šibenika), odigrao je svih 90 minuta, dok je protiv Istre izašao u 80. minuti. U navedenom periodu više nije postigao pogodak, iako je upravo to bilo ono zbog čega je i bio doveden, ali se po njegovim kretnjama i tehničkim mogućnostima moglo vidjeti da se radi o ozbiljnom i školovanom igraču. Ipak, najveći problem je bio u tome što je Tudor otišao i prije njegovog debija za Hajduk, dok je Hari Vukas dobio otkaz upravo nakon tog susreta s Istrom.

Stanić i Kepčija također su u međuvremenu otišli iz kluba, kao i predsjednik Marin Brbić, što je značilo da su nakon samo četiri mjeseca Hajduk napustili svi oni koji su Diamantakosa željeli. Jens Gustafsson u svibnju prošle godine postao je peti Diamantakosov trener u manje od godinu dana, a ako tu pribrojimo i pojavu mladih talenata Stipe Biuka i Marina Ljubičića te dolaske Marka Livaje i Jana Mlakara, jasno je zašto se Diamantakos od „pravog napadača” koji je klubu potreban pretvorio u čovjeka koji protiv Primorca iz Biograda 45 minuta besmisleno luta po terenu.

Grčki napadač od spomenutog susreta s Istrom pa do danas startao je u samo šest utakmica u svim natjecanjima i pritom na terenu proveo ukupno 670 minuta, a jedini gol u tom periodu postigao je u porazu od Gorice na Poljudu (2:4), kada je zabio gol za 2:2.

Njegov odlazak s Poljuda stoga je bio neminovan, a bez obzira na to što Ashdod nije preuzeo cijelu njegovu plaću, već samo dio, realnost je takva da Hajduk vjerojatno ništa više nije mogao izvući od Diamantakosa. Čak i kada je dolazio kao veliko pojačanje, bilo je upitno posjeduje li Grk zaista kvalitetu koja će Bijelima donijeti dimenziju više, a nakon svih turbulencija u klubu postalo je jasno da za takvo nešto više nema šanse.

 


Navijači Hajduka Diamantakosa će uglavnom pamtiti kao golgetera koji nije zabijao, što je etiketa od koje ne može pobjeći. Jednostavno, čovjek je bio doveden da postiže golove, a to nije radio. No, svakom igraču potreban je određeni period prilagodbe na novo okruženje i nove zahtjeve, a Grk je imao tu nesreću da su se treneri na klupi Bijelih mijenjali tolikom brzinom da se nije ni imao vremena prilagoditi na njihove zahtjeve, dok ne treba zanemariti ni to da su i Hari Vukas („neslužbeno”) i Boro Primorac („službeno”) bili samo vršitelji dužnosti. A ni Paolo Tramezzani nije bio daleko od toga.

Rastanak Hajduka i Diamantakosa djeluje kao najbolja opcija za obje strane, jer Bijelima on danas ne treba, dok će i samom igraču dobro doći nova prilika za dokazivanje. Realnost je takva da bi ostankom na Poljudu samo „životario” i skupljao „mrvice” na terenu.

Neuspješna epizoda Dimitriosa Diamantakosa u Hajduku u suštini nije nešto posebno dramatično, ali priča grčkog napadača ostat će svjedočanstvo jednog vremena i mozaik svega onoga što je u tom periodu bilo disfunkcionalno u splitskom klubu.

Hajdukovi navijači neće puno žaliti za Diamantakosom, ali njegova priča ostat će svjedočanstvo jednog vremena

Dimitrios Diamantakos otišao je na posudbu u izraelski Ashdod, nakon što je ove sezone upisao osam nastupa i odigrao samo 188 minuta u svim natjecanjima u dresu Hajduka. S obzirom na to da je od svog dolaska na Poljud u srpnju 2020. postigao samo dva gola i upisao jednu asistenciju (na način da je izborio kazneni udarac), može se reći da nikome u Splitu neće posebno nedostajati.

No, iako se razlozi njegovih neuvjerljivih igara dijelom trebaju tražiti u njegovoj kvaliteti, ali i ozljedama, Grk je prije svega žrtva jednog perioda u klubu kada su se stvari još uvijek radile na način na koji se jednostavno nisu trebale raditi.
