Nakon Londona 2012. kada smo na olimpijskom hrvačkom turniru imali dvojicu predstavnika, braću Žugaj, Hrvatska ponovo na najvećem sportskom natjecanju i u jednom od najstarijih, baš klasičnih olimpijskih sportova ima dvojac. Boži Starčeviću koji je bio i u Rio de Janeiru 2016., sada se pridružio Ivan Huklek. Dvadesetpetogodišnji mladić iz Sesveta, član istoimenog hrvačkog kluba, u Sofiji je na svjetskim kvalifikacijama za Olimpijske igre, uhvatio posljednji let za Tokio. U jednoj osobitoj priči, u mjesec dana nabijenih raznovrsnim emocijama, pišu Sportske novosti.

Naime, prije mjesec dana je postao otac. Supruzi Josipi s kojom se Ivan oženio prije mjesec dana rodio se sin Noa. Neopisiva sreća. Samo dva tjedna kasnije, Ivanu je preminula mlada sestrica Marta. Imala je tek 11 godina. Tog trenutka je čak Ivan mislio odustati od kvalifikacija u Sofiji..

- U tom trenutku mi nije bilo ni do kakvih kvalifikacija. Međutim, mama, tata, supruga, moja braća... svi su mi rekli da moram ići zbog sestre. Na kraju sam išao zbog Marte i osvojio olimpijsku normu koju njoj i posvećujem. Makar bi sve dao da je ona živa. Zato sam u subotu nakon osvojene norme i silno zahvalio obitelji na potpori - pojašnjava izvanredni student kineziologije i olimpijac, Ivan Huklek.

Ivan se u kategoriji do 87 kg, u Sofiji plasirao u finale svoje kategorije, a kako su finalisti sigurni putnici za Japan... sve je riješeno. Kada smo se čuli, Ivan je još uvijek bio u Sofiji. Postoji razlog.

- Finale je u nedjelju.

U finalu, u borbi za zlato ga čeka Gruzijac koji se natječe pod srpskom zastavom, Zurabi Datunašvili. Obojica su u Tokiju, dakle... revijalna borba. Ili je to malo neprimjereno za reći?

- Pa i ne baš, ajmo reći da i jesu finala u ovom slučaju revijalna. Da, borimo se za zlatnu medalju na kvalifikacijama, ali svi finalisti su još u subotu izborili Tokio, tako da... Idemo reći da je sada borba za "gušt". Nije više toliki stres i pritisak kao u subotu - zbori Ivan Huklek (25).

Naš je reprezentativac kroz kvalifikacije "protutnjao". Kazuju to i goli rezultat, ali i način izvedbe.

- Prvu borbu sam trebao imati u biti s Poljakom koji se međutim nažalost pokazao pozitivnim na koronavirus, te jasno nije mogao u borbu. Onda mi je slijedio Talijan (Mirco Minguzzi), a njega sam pobijedio tehničkim tušem (14-5). Krenuo sam malo užurbano u borbu, pa sam izgubio neke bodove, ali sve sam uspio popraviti i uvjerljivo pobijediti. U četvrtfinalu sam dobio Čeha (Novak) 9-0 u 1. rundi. Dakle opet tehnički tuš, a onda je uslijedila borba za Tokio, polufinale. Šveđanin Berg je bio s druge strane - u kratkoj će retrospektivi Huklek. No, ta odlučujuća borba je već imala neke karakteristike lagane dramatike...

- Do minutu prije kraja sam gubio 1-0, onda sam poravnao, da bi uspio napraviti jednu svoju akciju, zaraditi tri boda i dobiti na kraju 4-1. Makar, tko god pogleda borbu vidjet će da sam dominirao svih 6 minuta u borbi. Onaj jedan bod koji sam izgubio sam izgubio zbog pasivnosti, kasnije sam bio cijelo vrijeme puno aktivniji.

Hrvanje nažalost, realno gledano, u nas nije medijski odveć pozorno i pomno praćeno. O ovom se sportu priča samo i praktički isključivo onda kada se osvoji medalja, što u konkurenciji koja je u ovom sportu iznimno jaka, nije baš prečesto. Upravo je zato Huklekov plasman na Olimpijske igre u Tokiju za dobar dio javnosti bio ili jest iznenađenje. A za samog Ivana Hukleka...?

- Ja znam da sam u vrhu svjetskog hrvanja u svojoj kategoriji i znao sam da u Sofiji mogu osvojiti olimpijsku normu. Kod nas u hrvanju je zapravo doista teže ostvariti olimpijsku normu nego osvojiti olimpijsku medalju. I to nije tek puka uzrečica, već je doista tako. Imamo jednostavno vrlo težak kvalifikacijski put, "krvave" kvalifikacije gdje jako puno odličnih, sjajnih hrvača ostane bez olimpijske norme. Evo, u mojoj kategoriji, jedan Rus Davit Čakvetadze koji je olimpijski pobjednik iz Rija, nije uspio u Sofiji sada. Imate još dvostrukog svjetskog prvaka bez olimpijske norme i dosta medaljaša s EP i SP, da sad ne nabrajam sve. Ja sam vjerovao u sebe jer sam znao da sam tu, da pripadam vrhu.

Što je trebalo učiniti da se uopće dođe u Sofiju, na svjetske kvalifikacije?

- Godinu dana prije OI u hrvanju mi imamo svjetsko prvenstvo i šest prvoplasiranih sa SP ide na OI. Ja sam na zadnjem SP 2019. bio osmi. Izgubio sam dakle izravnu borbu za normu. Zatim su slijedile europske kvalifikacije, gdje sam izgubio prvu borbu od Armenca i onda mi je preostala samo Sofija, svjetske kvalifikacije. Zadnja šansa! Konkurencija je posebno teška u Europi. Tu na kvalifikacije dođe 11,12-13 boraca koji svi zaslužuju i mogu biti na Igrama, međutim samo dvojica mogu osvojiti normu. Na afričkim, azijskim i američkim kvalifikacijama konkurencija nije ni približno toliko brojna, s toliko puno kvalitetnih boraca kao u Europi.

Nakon Londona 2012. kada smo na olimpijskom hrvačkom turniru imali dvojicu predstavnika, braću Žugaj, Hrvatska ponovo na najvećem sportskom natjecanju i u jednom od najstarijih, baš klasičnih olimpijskih sportova ima dvojac. Boži Starčeviću koji je bio i u Rio de Janeiru 2016., sada se pridružio Ivan Huklek. Dvadesetpetogodišnji mladić iz Sesveta, član istoimenog hrvačkog kluba, u Sofiji je na svjetskim kvalifikacijama za Olimpijske igre, uhvatio posljednji let za Tokio. U jednoj osobitoj priči, u mjesec dana nabijenih raznovrsnim emocijama, pišu Sportske novosti.

Naime, prije mjesec dana je postao otac. Supruzi Josipi s kojom se Ivan oženio prije mjesec dana rodio se sin Noa. Neopisiva sreća. Samo dva tjedna kasnije, Ivanu je preminula mlada sestrica Marta. Imala je tek 11 godina. Tog trenutka je čak Ivan mislio odustati od kvalifikacija u Sofiji..

- U tom trenutku mi nije bilo ni do kakvih kvalifikacija. Međutim, mama, tata, supruga, moja braća... svi su mi rekli da moram ići zbog sestre. Na kraju sam išao zbog Marte i osvojio olimpijsku normu koju njoj i posvećujem. Makar bi sve dao da je ona živa. Zato sam u subotu nakon osvojene norme i silno zahvalio obitelji na potpori - pojašnjava izvanredni student kineziologije i olimpijac, Ivan Huklek.

Ivan se u kategoriji do 87 kg, u Sofiji plasirao u finale svoje kategorije, a kako su finalisti sigurni putnici za Japan... sve je riješeno. Kada smo se čuli, Ivan je još uvijek bio u Sofiji. Postoji razlog.

- Finale je u nedjelju.

U finalu, u borbi za zlato ga čeka Gruzijac koji se natječe pod srpskom zastavom, Zurabi Datunašvili. Obojica su u Tokiju, dakle... revijalna borba. Ili je to malo neprimjereno za reći?

- Pa i ne baš, ajmo reći da i jesu finala u ovom slučaju revijalna. Da, borimo se za zlatnu medalju na kvalifikacijama, ali svi finalisti su još u subotu izborili Tokio, tako da... Idemo reći da je sada borba za "gušt". Nije više toliki stres i pritisak kao u subotu - zbori Ivan Huklek (25).

Naš je reprezentativac kroz kvalifikacije "protutnjao". Kazuju to i goli rezultat, ali i način izvedbe.

- Prvu borbu sam trebao imati u biti s Poljakom koji se međutim nažalost pokazao pozitivnim na koronavirus, te jasno nije mogao u borbu. Onda mi je slijedio Talijan (Mirco Minguzzi), a njega sam pobijedio tehničkim tušem (14-5). Krenuo sam malo užurbano u borbu, pa sam izgubio neke bodove, ali sve sam uspio popraviti i uvjerljivo pobijediti. U četvrtfinalu sam dobio Čeha (Novak) 9-0 u 1. rundi. Dakle opet tehnički tuš, a onda je uslijedila borba za Tokio, polufinale. Šveđanin Berg je bio s druge strane - u kratkoj će retrospektivi Huklek. No, ta odlučujuća borba je već imala neke karakteristike lagane dramatike...

- Do minutu prije kraja sam gubio 1-0, onda sam poravnao, da bi uspio napraviti jednu svoju akciju, zaraditi tri boda i dobiti na kraju 4-1. Makar, tko god pogleda borbu vidjet će da sam dominirao svih 6 minuta u borbi. Onaj jedan bod koji sam izgubio sam izgubio zbog pasivnosti, kasnije sam bio cijelo vrijeme puno aktivniji.

Hrvanje nažalost, realno gledano, u nas nije medijski odveć pozorno i pomno praćeno. O ovom se sportu priča samo i praktički isključivo onda kada se osvoji medalja, što u konkurenciji koja je u ovom sportu iznimno jaka, nije baš prečesto. Upravo je zato Huklekov plasman na Olimpijske igre u Tokiju za dobar dio javnosti bio ili jest iznenađenje. A za samog Ivana Hukleka...?

- Ja znam da sam u vrhu svjetskog hrvanja u svojoj kategoriji i znao sam da u Sofiji mogu osvojiti olimpijsku normu. Kod nas u hrvanju je zapravo doista teže ostvariti olimpijsku normu nego osvojiti olimpijsku medalju. I to nije tek puka uzrečica, već je doista tako. Imamo jednostavno vrlo težak kvalifikacijski put, "krvave" kvalifikacije gdje jako puno odličnih, sjajnih hrvača ostane bez olimpijske norme. Evo, u mojoj kategoriji, jedan Rus Davit Čakvetadze koji je olimpijski pobjednik iz Rija, nije uspio u Sofiji sada. Imate još dvostrukog svjetskog prvaka bez olimpijske norme i dosta medaljaša s EP i SP, da sad ne nabrajam sve. Ja sam vjerovao u sebe jer sam znao da sam tu, da pripadam vrhu.

Što je trebalo učiniti da se uopće dođe u Sofiju, na svjetske kvalifikacije?

- Godinu dana prije OI u hrvanju mi imamo svjetsko prvenstvo i šest prvoplasiranih sa SP ide na OI. Ja sam na zadnjem SP 2019. bio osmi. Izgubio sam dakle izravnu borbu za normu. Zatim su slijedile europske kvalifikacije, gdje sam izgubio prvu borbu od Armenca i onda mi je preostala samo Sofija, svjetske kvalifikacije. Zadnja šansa! Konkurencija je posebno teška u Europi. Tu na kvalifikacije dođe 11,12-13 boraca koji svi zaslužuju i mogu biti na Igrama, međutim samo dvojica mogu osvojiti normu. Na afričkim, azijskim i američkim kvalifikacijama konkurencija nije ni približno toliko brojna, s toliko puno kvalitetnih boraca kao u Europi.
