Večeras se u 20 sati u Galerije fotografije Fotokluba Split otvara velika retrospektivna izložba Splićanina Joška Duplančića. Izložba naziva ''Gluho doba'' referira se na činjenicu da je Duplančić još kao vrlo mlad ostao gluh, ali ga to nije spriječilo da aktivno i uspješno sudjeluje u društvenom i kulturnom životu grada Splita u ratnim i poratnim godinama Drugoga svjetskog rata. Izložbu je u čast svom djedu priredila povjesničarka umjetnosti Katarina Duplančić koja je kroz izložbeni koncept pokušala predočiti dva aspekta djedova života i rada.

Prvi, fotografije nastale u doba razaranja i političkih manipulacija Drugog svjetskog rata čuvaju sjećanje na nehumanost koju stvaraju strah i pohlepa, ali i na nepopustljivost antifašističkih pokreta kroz povijest.

Ono što te fotografije ne mogu prenijeti su zvukovi rata, rafali i plač – ono što Joško nije mogao potpuno čuti. Baš zbog toga što nije čuo (i zbog njegove smjelosti i upornosti), izložba ne podsjeća na strah, već na nadu, upornost i budućnost. Drugi dio izložbe naglasak stavlja na fotografije kojima Duplančić bilježi kroniku jednog grada – splitski škver, ulice na kojima se igraju djeca, tiramole na kojima se suši rublje, vedre i suptilne prizore koje svjedoče snagu ljudskog duha da izdrži i patnju, razaranje i gubitak te da krene ispočetka i izgradi mir. Izložba uključuje i treći dio, kojim Katarina Duplančić posjetiteljima želi približiti način rada, razvoj tehnologije i fotografije kroz godine, prikazujući djedovu bogatu ostavštinu različite fotografske opreme.

Dijete težačke obitelji

Joško Duplančić rođen je kao dijete težačke obitelji u Splitu 27. 8. 1919. godine. Rano je ostao gluh. Uz tapetarski, izučio je pred rat i fotografski zanat. U vrijeme okupacije djelovao je u ilegalnom pokretu u Splitu, po čijoj je preporuci snimao razna zbivanja i stanja u gradu tijekom rata. Sustavno je snimao sve što je tada bilo značajno da se dokumentira u Splitu i okolici: splitske zatvore, vješala na Rivi, izgladnjele dok čekaju dodjeljivanje hrane, izgorjelu Općinu, uzbune, uništene lučke uređaje, potopljene brodove i avione, porušenu željezničku stanicu, pustoš na tržnici nakon bombardiranja, izvlačenje žrtava iz ruševina, zarobljene talijanske vojnike, porušeno brodogradilište.

Nakon rata kao reporter i arhivar ZAVNOH-a i Slobodne Dalmacije, a zatim odjela za tisak Predstavništva vlade NRH, snima porušena i popaljena naselja po Dalmaciji, završne borbe, mitinge u Splitu, prva sportska natjecanja; također u Šibeniku i Zadru. Duplančićeve fotografije Splita u vrijeme rata nemaju samo pečat jedinstvene povijesne dokumentacije nego nam pružaju vrlo uvjerljivu sliku tog stanja: pustoši, bijede i razaranja.

Izlaže na desecima samostalnih i grupnih izložbi te aktivno radi na unapređenju života gluhih i nagluhih osoba. Nakon umirovljenja, nastavlja fotografirati sportska događanja, dokumentirati događanja u Splitu te bilježiti trenutke iz svakodnevnih života svojih sugrađana i obitelji. U svom stanu pokreće mali foto laboratorij koji koristi za razvoj svog hobija, odnosno strasti – sve do zadnjih dana života.

Izložba je realizirana uz financijsku potporu Ministarstva kulture i medija Republike Hrvatske i Grada Splita, a možete je pogledati do 4. rujna.

Organizatori mole posjetitelje da se pridržavaju epidemioloških uputa za vrijeme boravka u Galeriji.

Večeras se u 20 sati u Galerije fotografije Fotokluba Split otvara velika retrospektivna izložba Splićanina Joška Duplančića. Izložba naziva ''Gluho doba'' referira se na činjenicu da je Duplančić još kao vrlo mlad ostao gluh, ali ga to nije spriječilo da aktivno i uspješno sudjeluje u društvenom i kulturnom životu grada Splita u ratnim i poratnim godinama Drugoga svjetskog rata. Izložbu je u čast svom djedu priredila povjesničarka umjetnosti Katarina Duplančić koja je kroz izložbeni koncept pokušala predočiti dva aspekta djedova života i rada.

Prvi, fotografije nastale u doba razaranja i političkih manipulacija Drugog svjetskog rata čuvaju sjećanje na nehumanost koju stvaraju strah i pohlepa, ali i na nepopustljivost antifašističkih pokreta kroz povijest.

Ono što te fotografije ne mogu prenijeti su zvukovi rata, rafali i plač – ono što Joško nije mogao potpuno čuti. Baš zbog toga što nije čuo (i zbog njegove smjelosti i upornosti), izložba ne podsjeća na strah, već na nadu, upornost i budućnost. Drugi dio izložbe naglasak stavlja na fotografije kojima Duplančić bilježi kroniku jednog grada – splitski škver, ulice na kojima se igraju djeca, tiramole na kojima se suši rublje, vedre i suptilne prizore koje svjedoče snagu ljudskog duha da izdrži i patnju, razaranje i gubitak te da krene ispočetka i izgradi mir. Izložba uključuje i treći dio, kojim Katarina Duplančić posjetiteljima želi približiti način rada, razvoj tehnologije i fotografije kroz godine, prikazujući djedovu bogatu ostavštinu različite fotografske opreme.

Dijete težačke obitelji

Joško Duplančić rođen je kao dijete težačke obitelji u Splitu 27. 8. 1919. godine. Rano je ostao gluh. Uz tapetarski, izučio je pred rat i fotografski zanat. U vrijeme okupacije djelovao je u ilegalnom pokretu u Splitu, po čijoj je preporuci snimao razna zbivanja i stanja u gradu tijekom rata. Sustavno je snimao sve što je tada bilo značajno da se dokumentira u Splitu i okolici: splitske zatvore, vješala na Rivi, izgladnjele dok čekaju dodjeljivanje hrane, izgorjelu Općinu, uzbune, uništene lučke uređaje, potopljene brodove i avione, porušenu željezničku stanicu, pustoš na tržnici nakon bombardiranja, izvlačenje žrtava iz ruševina, zarobljene talijanske vojnike, porušeno brodogradilište.

Nakon rata kao reporter i arhivar ZAVNOH-a i Slobodne Dalmacije, a zatim odjela za tisak Predstavništva vlade NRH, snima porušena i popaljena naselja po Dalmaciji, završne borbe, mitinge u Splitu, prva sportska natjecanja; također u Šibeniku i Zadru. Duplančićeve fotografije Splita u vrijeme rata nemaju samo pečat jedinstvene povijesne dokumentacije nego nam pružaju vrlo uvjerljivu sliku tog stanja: pustoši, bijede i razaranja.

Izlaže na desecima samostalnih i grupnih izložbi te aktivno radi na unapređenju života gluhih i nagluhih osoba. Nakon umirovljenja, nastavlja fotografirati sportska događanja, dokumentirati događanja u Splitu te bilježiti trenutke iz svakodnevnih života svojih sugrađana i obitelji. U svom stanu pokreće mali foto laboratorij koji koristi za razvoj svog hobija, odnosno strasti – sve do zadnjih dana života.

Izložba je realizirana uz financijsku potporu Ministarstva kulture i medija Republike Hrvatske i Grada Splita, a možete je pogledati do 4. rujna.

Organizatori mole posjetitelje da se pridržavaju epidemioloških uputa za vrijeme boravka u Galeriji.
