U dva dana besplatno je podijeljeno čak 500 sadnica žrnovačke jabuke u organizaciji Udruge Žrvanj i Splitsko-dalmatinske županije na igralištu "Mosora".
- Interes je nadišao sva naša očekivanja. Radili smo procjenu prema posljednje dvije podjele, ali ovoga puta interes je bio višestruko veći od broja sadnica kojima smo raspolagali.
Konkretno, prije mjesec dana smo uputili poziv da se ljudi javljaju na mail, no nitko nije mogao očekivati da će stići preko 1000 prijava.

Još više iznenađuje da je većina ljudi koja je došla po sadnice bila izvan Žrnovnice. Tako smo imali građane s Hvara, iz Makarske, Trogira, čak Zadra i Rijeke. Kaštelani su pokazali ogroman interes jer je baš tamo otišla gotovo svaka peta sadnica!
Iskreno nam je žao ljudi koji nisu dočekali svoju sadnicu. Znamo da su izgubili svoje vrijeme da bi došli do Žrnovnice i iskreno se ispričavamo na tome - navodi Ivan Jozinović, tajnik udruge "Žrvanj".
Inače, sadnice su uzgojene u rasadniku Botaničkog vrha u Žrnovnici, a vlasnik nam kaže da će nove sadnice biti spremne za jesen.
Splitsko-dalmatinska županija financirala je i ovogodišnji projekt podjele sadnica, a s obzirom na uspješnost ove akcije, najavili su novu podjelu čim nove budu spremne.
Tajnik "Žrvnja" kaže da su današnje podjela i interes građana dokaz da se svako ulaganje u poljoprivredu isplati, osobito ono vezano uz autohtone vrste.

- U skoroj budućnosti želimo potaknuti ili pokazati Gradu Splitu i Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji da treba potaknuti ljude da revitaliziraju što više zapuštenih obradivih zemljišta. Sve je u drači, a što se servira na naše pijate i pijate turista u sezoni? Mi imamo ideje kako ljudima olakšati bavljenje poljoprivredom, makar za osobne potrebe - zaključuje Jozinović.
Cilj podjele sadnica je revitalizacija skoro zaboravljene sorte i očuvanje tradicije uzgoja ove kulture po kojoj je Žrnovnica bila nadaleko poznata.
"Udruga Žrvanj surađivala je sa znanstvenicom Mirom Radunić sa Instituta za jadranske kulture i melioraciju krša u kojem smo ispitivali svojstva žrnovske jabuke tzv. Mašanke.

Istraživanje je pokazalo da je po svojim svojstvima prava "bomba zdravlja". Nakon što je bila gotovo nestala sa našeg područja, Žrvanj je pokrenuo inicijativu revitalizacije te naše voćke te nakon 15 godina možemo kazati da smo u svojoj namjeri uspjeli. Gotovo svako žrnovačko domaćinstvo ih ima u vrtu, a nadamo se da će se proširiti i izvan granica Žrnovnice - kazao nam je predsjednik udruge "Žrvanj" Rade Popadić.
- Županija podržava ovakve projekte, a inače imamo i projekte sufinanciranja sadnog materijala sa jedinicama lokalne samouprave. Do 2023. godine smo sufinancirali s jednom trećinom gotovo četiri milijuna sadnica - kazao nam je Josip Matas, pomoćnik pročelnika Upravnog odjela za gospodarstvo, EU fondove i poljoprivredu.

- Interes je nadišao sva naša očekivanja. Radili smo procjenu prema posljednje dvije podjele, ali ovoga puta interes je bio višestruko veći od broja sadnica kojima smo raspolagali.
Konkretno, prije mjesec dana smo uputili poziv da se ljudi javljaju na mail, no nitko nije mogao očekivati da će stići preko 1000 prijava.

Još više iznenađuje da je većina ljudi koja je došla po sadnice bila izvan Žrnovnice. Tako smo imali građane s Hvara, iz Makarske, Trogira, čak Zadra i Rijeke. Kaštelani su pokazali ogroman interes jer je baš tamo otišla gotovo svaka peta sadnica!
Iskreno nam je žao ljudi koji nisu dočekali svoju sadnicu. Znamo da su izgubili svoje vrijeme da bi došli do Žrnovnice i iskreno se ispričavamo na tome - navodi Ivan Jozinović, tajnik udruge "Žrvanj".
Inače, sadnice su uzgojene u rasadniku Botaničkog vrha u Žrnovnici, a vlasnik nam kaže da će nove sadnice biti spremne za jesen.
Splitsko-dalmatinska županija financirala je i ovogodišnji projekt podjele sadnica, a s obzirom na uspješnost ove akcije, najavili su novu podjelu čim nove budu spremne.
Tajnik "Žrvnja" kaže da su današnje podjela i interes građana dokaz da se svako ulaganje u poljoprivredu isplati, osobito ono vezano uz autohtone vrste.

- U skoroj budućnosti želimo potaknuti ili pokazati Gradu Splitu i Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji da treba potaknuti ljude da revitaliziraju što više zapuštenih obradivih zemljišta. Sve je u drači, a što se servira na naše pijate i pijate turista u sezoni? Mi imamo ideje kako ljudima olakšati bavljenje poljoprivredom, makar za osobne potrebe - zaključuje Jozinović.
Cilj podjele sadnica je revitalizacija skoro zaboravljene sorte i očuvanje tradicije uzgoja ove kulture po kojoj je Žrnovnica bila nadaleko poznata.
"Udruga Žrvanj surađivala je sa znanstvenicom Mirom Radunić sa Instituta za jadranske kulture i melioraciju krša u kojem smo ispitivali svojstva žrnovske jabuke tzv. Mašanke.

Istraživanje je pokazalo da je po svojim svojstvima prava "bomba zdravlja". Nakon što je bila gotovo nestala sa našeg područja, Žrvanj je pokrenuo inicijativu revitalizacije te naše voćke te nakon 15 godina možemo kazati da smo u svojoj namjeri uspjeli. Gotovo svako žrnovačko domaćinstvo ih ima u vrtu, a nadamo se da će se proširiti i izvan granica Žrnovnice - kazao nam je predsjednik udruge "Žrvanj" Rade Popadić.
- Županija podržava ovakve projekte, a inače imamo i projekte sufinanciranja sadnog materijala sa jedinicama lokalne samouprave. Do 2023. godine smo sufinancirali s jednom trećinom gotovo četiri milijuna sadnica - kazao nam je Josip Matas, pomoćnik pročelnika Upravnog odjela za gospodarstvo, EU fondove i poljoprivredu.
