Uređenje Muzeja grada Splita prevalilo je nešto više od pola puta, očekuje se kako će do kraja godine muzej otvoriti vrata posjetiteljima; nov, svjež, s obnovljenim postavom i suvremenom prezentacijom. Projekt prezentacije ja završen, a osmislili su ga povjesničar umjetnosti Joško Belamarić, dizajner Damir Gamulin, arhitekt Antun Sevšek te djelatnici Muzeja, a najveće iznenađenje bit će dvije prostorije u prizemlju koje će ostati bez poda i "otvorene" budući da su u njima arheološki nalazi koji su prošlog ljeta uzbudili znanstvenu javnost jer nude sasvim novo "čitanje" namjene Dioklecijanove palače.

Posjetimo, umjesto dosad označavanih prostora za Dioklecijanovu gardu, ondje su pod vodstvom arheologa Nebojše Cingelija pronađeni antički sustavi koji pokazuju kako je ondje bila javna namjena u kojoj je korištena voda; terme, radionice tkanine ili nešto slično. Znanost tek treba dati odgovor.

Arheološki radovi u Muzeju grada Splita

Ravnateljica Vesna Bulić Baketić kaže nam kako će se u južnoj i središnjoj prostoriji ostaviti nalazi in situ, iznad kojih će se prolaziti pasarelama – mostićima, zbog čega će muzej izgubiti nešto prostora, ali ono što će biti predstavljeno je od velike vrijednosti za priču o Dioklecijanovoj palači i rani razvoj Splita.

– Ostavit ćemo vidljivima antičke nalaze iz Dioklecijanova doba, ostatke bazena, mozaika, zidova, dekorativne oplate i vijenca, potom ranosrednjovjekovne ostatke poput torkulara – tijeska iz 670. godine, a približna datacija je utvrđena radiokarbonskom analizom, te cisternu iz doba romanike ili gotike. Važni arheološki nalazi iz prošle godine potaknuli su ideju kako se u sjevernom dijelu Palače nisu nalazili samo prostori za vojsku, nego i građevine druge namjene.

Južna prostorija u kojoj će se sada prezentirati arheologija, dosad se koristila samo za povremene izložbe, koje ćemo zbog toga preseliti u naš izložbeni prostor u Dioklecijanovoj ulici ili u Staru vijećnicu na Pjaci – objasnila nam je ravnateljica Bulić Baketić, dodajući kako će i ostale prostorije u muzeju biti "presložene", prezentirane na suvremeniji način, s detaljnijim legendama, a posjetitelji će i dalje moći vidjeti sfinge, antičku menzu, spolije s katedralnog zvonika, a dodat će se detalji Buvininih vratnica, multimedijalni momenti, gotička dvorana ostaje slična – ali nećemo sve otkrivati kako bi na otvaranju bilo i iznenađenja.

U sklopu obnove muzeja sređuje se i fasada s Papalićeve ulice, čiji je kamen desetljećima bio zacrnjen prljavštinom nataloženom kroz stoljeća.

– Očistili smo reljef i portal iznad ulaznih vrata, koja su također obnovljena, a trenutno čistimo kvadriforu čiji će anđeo biti zamijenjen replikom koja je već izrađena, a original ide u postav muzeja. Ostaje još očistiti vanjske zidove i naš će muzej zabljesnuti – raduje se ravnateljica Vesna Bulić Baketić.

Uređenje Muzeja grada Splita prevalilo je nešto više od pola puta, očekuje se kako će do kraja godine muzej otvoriti vrata posjetiteljima; nov, svjež, s obnovljenim postavom i suvremenom prezentacijom. Projekt prezentacije ja završen, a osmislili su ga povjesničar umjetnosti Joško Belamarić, dizajner Damir Gamulin, arhitekt Antun Sevšek te djelatnici Muzeja, a najveće iznenađenje bit će dvije prostorije u prizemlju koje će ostati bez poda i "otvorene" budući da su u njima arheološki nalazi koji su prošlog ljeta uzbudili znanstvenu javnost jer nude sasvim novo "čitanje" namjene Dioklecijanove palače.

Posjetimo, umjesto dosad označavanih prostora za Dioklecijanovu gardu, ondje su pod vodstvom arheologa Nebojše Cingelija pronađeni antički sustavi koji pokazuju kako je ondje bila javna namjena u kojoj je korištena voda; terme, radionice tkanine ili nešto slično. Znanost tek treba dati odgovor.

Ravnateljica Vesna Bulić Baketić kaže nam kako će se u južnoj i središnjoj prostoriji ostaviti nalazi in situ, iznad kojih će se prolaziti pasarelama – mostićima, zbog čega će muzej izgubiti nešto prostora, ali ono što će biti predstavljeno je od velike vrijednosti za priču o Dioklecijanovoj palači i rani razvoj Splita.

– Ostavit ćemo vidljivima antičke nalaze iz Dioklecijanova doba, ostatke bazena, mozaika, zidova, dekorativne oplate i vijenca, potom ranosrednjovjekovne ostatke poput torkulara – tijeska iz 670. godine, a približna datacija je utvrđena radiokarbonskom analizom, te cisternu iz doba romanike ili gotike. Važni arheološki nalazi iz prošle godine potaknuli su ideju kako se u sjevernom dijelu Palače nisu nalazili samo prostori za vojsku, nego i građevine druge namjene.

Južna prostorija u kojoj će se sada prezentirati arheologija, dosad se koristila samo za povremene izložbe, koje ćemo zbog toga preseliti u naš izložbeni prostor u Dioklecijanovoj ulici ili u Staru vijećnicu na Pjaci – objasnila nam je ravnateljica Bulić Baketić, dodajući kako će i ostale prostorije u muzeju biti "presložene", prezentirane na suvremeniji način, s detaljnijim legendama, a posjetitelji će i dalje moći vidjeti sfinge, antičku menzu, spolije s katedralnog zvonika, a dodat će se detalji Buvininih vratnica, multimedijalni momenti, gotička dvorana ostaje slična – ali nećemo sve otkrivati kako bi na otvaranju bilo i iznenađenja.

U sklopu obnove muzeja sređuje se i fasada s Papalićeve ulice, čiji je kamen desetljećima bio zacrnjen prljavštinom nataloženom kroz stoljeća.

– Očistili smo reljef i portal iznad ulaznih vrata, koja su također obnovljena, a trenutno čistimo kvadriforu čiji će anđeo biti zamijenjen replikom koja je već izrađena, a original ide u postav muzeja. Ostaje još očistiti vanjske zidove i naš će muzej zabljesnuti – raduje se ravnateljica Vesna Bulić Baketić.
