Zdeslav Gabrić, član HPD-a "Mosor", uspješno se popeo na 6476 metara visok Mera Peak, jedan od najviših vrhova Himalaje.
Gabrić je bio član deveteročlane ekipe, pretežno Rusa, od kojih je njih sedmero ispelo ovaj zahtjevan vrh u 6 sati ujutro ovog ponedjeljka po nepalskom vremenu. Krenuli su u 1 sat u noći iz kampa smještenog na 5800 metara te su do vrha stigli za nekih pet sati.
Zdeslav nam se javio malo nakon spuštanja u kamp smješten na 4900 metara, sretan što je sve dobro prošlo.
- Šta da kažem, spektakularni prizori oko nas pratili su nas cijelo vrijeme. S vrha Mera Peak sve se vidi, i Everest, Makalu, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu... Moram priznat da nije bilo lako, no još iz Splita me pratila dobra energija i volja. Imao sam jako puno podrške dragih ljudi, pa su sve poteškoće na putu bile lakše. Umjesto avionom u Luklu, morali smo džipovima kroz džunglu, pa kiša, snijeg, hladnoća... Bilo je svega, ali ekipa mi je super, a šerpe vodiči su sjajni i pažljivi, na sve misle. Zadnja tri dana prije zadnjeg uspona sve su provjeravali jer je bilo dosta ledenjačkih pukotina, imali smo i vježbe sa žemarom... - ispričao nam je Zdeslav.

- Tek me na 5000 metara počela boliti glava, osjećao sam manju malaksalost, ali brzo je prošlo. Do vrha je bilo baš teško. Temperatura je bila nekih minus 15, tresao sam se ko prut unatoč svoj opremi, pa sam udarao nogama o led da se ugrijem. Zadnjih 100 metara činilo se kao vječnost. Na vrhu, prvih par minuta nisam se imao snage ni veselit, ali kad sam došao sebi, osjetio sam kako me hvataju emocije - kazao nam je Zdeslav, koji je na vrhu ponosno razvio zastavu HPD-a "Mosor" i svoje teniske lige jer je strastveni zaljubljenik i u tenis.

Odlazak na ovakvu avanturu uspio je sebi priuštiti stjecajem okolnosti. Naime, radi na recepciji u jednom splitskom hotelu, pa kako je objekt zatvoren do početka travnja, uspio je krenuti u realizaciju svoje dugogodišnje želje. Priznaje kako je ovakav "izlet" skup za obične ljude, no njemu su u pomoć pritekli dobri ljudi.
- Jedino mi je žao što nisam imao one skupe gojzerice koje nabavljaju za uspon na Everest, nego neke druge, također visokogorske, al dobro je. Imam sve prste - kaže nam.
Javljanje iz visinskih kampova također je skupo. Primjerice, 16 sati interneta košta 10 dolara, litra prokuhane vode tri dolara, punjenje mobitela 10 dolara, kao i tuširanje. Što je od toga koristio, ispričat će nam kad se uskoro vrati u Split, a do tada sretan mu povratak!

Zdeslav Gabrić, član HPD-a "Mosor", uspješno se popeo na 6476 metara visok Mera Peak, jedan od najviših vrhova Himalaje.
Gabrić je bio član deveteročlane ekipe, pretežno Rusa, od kojih je njih sedmero ispelo ovaj zahtjevan vrh u 6 sati ujutro ovog ponedjeljka po nepalskom vremenu. Krenuli su u 1 sat u noći iz kampa smještenog na 5800 metara te su do vrha stigli za nekih pet sati.
Zdeslav nam se javio malo nakon spuštanja u kamp smješten na 4900 metara, sretan što je sve dobro prošlo.
- Šta da kažem, spektakularni prizori oko nas pratili su nas cijelo vrijeme. S vrha Mera Peak sve se vidi, i Everest, Makalu, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu... Moram priznat da nije bilo lako, no još iz Splita me pratila dobra energija i volja. Imao sam jako puno podrške dragih ljudi, pa su sve poteškoće na putu bile lakše. Umjesto avionom u Luklu, morali smo džipovima kroz džunglu, pa kiša, snijeg, hladnoća... Bilo je svega, ali ekipa mi je super, a šerpe vodiči su sjajni i pažljivi, na sve misle. Zadnja tri dana prije zadnjeg uspona sve su provjeravali jer je bilo dosta ledenjačkih pukotina, imali smo i vježbe sa žemarom... - ispričao nam je Zdeslav.

Dodaje da je dobro odradio aklimatizaciju.
- Tek me na 5000 metara počela boliti glava, osjećao sam manju malaksalost, ali brzo je prošlo. Do vrha je bilo baš teško. Temperatura je bila nekih minus 15, tresao sam se ko prut unatoč svoj opremi, pa sam udarao nogama o led da se ugrijem. Zadnjih 100 metara činilo se kao vječnost. Na vrhu, prvih par minuta nisam se imao snage ni veselit, ali kad sam došao sebi, osjetio sam kako me hvataju emocije - kazao nam je Zdeslav, koji je na vrhu ponosno razvio zastavu HPD-a "Mosor" i svoje teniske lige jer je strastveni zaljubljenik i u tenis.

Odlazak na ovakvu avanturu uspio je sebi priuštiti stjecajem okolnosti. Naime, radi na recepciji u jednom splitskom hotelu, pa kako je objekt zatvoren do početka travnja, uspio je krenuti u realizaciju svoje dugogodišnje želje. Priznaje kako je ovakav "izlet" skup za obične ljude, no njemu su u pomoć pritekli dobri ljudi.
- Jedino mi je žao što nisam imao one skupe gojzerice koje nabavljaju za uspon na Everest, nego neke druge, također visokogorske, al dobro je. Imam sve prste - kaže nam.
Javljanje iz visinskih kampova također je skupo. Primjerice, 16 sati interneta košta 10 dolara, litra prokuhane vode tri dolara, punjenje mobitela 10 dolara, kao i tuširanje. Što je od toga koristio, ispričat će nam kad se uskoro vrati u Split, a do tada sretan mu povratak!
