Skupe gojzerice, tehničke jakne, super čvrsti ruksaci, sva moguća tehnička oprema vrijedna čitavo bogatstvo, današnja je standardna oprema za visoka gorja.

Sa znatno osudnijom opremom, davne 1960. godine, na današnji dan četvorica Splićana uputila su se preko Rive prema Mont Blancu, najvišem alpskom vrhu i krovu zapadne Europe, na čiji vrh (4.810 m) su se uspješno popeli nekoliko dana kasnije, kao prvi Splićani i Dalmatinci. Bila su to četiri mosoraška mušketira Boris Kulić, Zvonko Kovač, Ivo Boko i Nikša Vučetić.

Povjesne kronike svjedoče je uspon ostvaren po veoma teškim vremenskim uvjetima. Pod njima je, nad Chamonixom, bjesnilo grmljavinsko nevrijeme, koje je nakon 2 do 3 sata vrhove prekrilo snježnom mećavom s orkanskim udarima vjetra. Momci su se sretno spustili s vrha, no ne bez posljedica.

Jedna od brojnih anegdota s ovog legendarnog uspona je svakako i događaj s povratka u Split. Naime, Zvonko Kovač je zbog ozeblina na ruci posjetio liječnika koji mu je bez pregleda izdao uputnicu za psihijatra misleći kako je Zvonko poludio. "Kakve vražje ozebline usred ljeta?!", zasigurno je posmislio liječnik.

Sva četvorica članova "Dalmatinske ekspedicije na Mont Blanc" su se istaknuli dugogodišnjim radom u društvu Mosor, a Zvonko Kovač i Ivo Boko su tijekom pedesetih i šezdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća u više navrata obnašali i dužnost predsjednika "Mosora".

Za Zvonka pričaju kako je bio pravi mentor tadašnjoj generaciji alpinista, znao je kakvu tko knjigu treba i što ga zanima, te je poticao kolege da se, osim penjanja, i duhovno razvijaju, a čak im je krpao i odjeću za planinarenje. U njegovoj su se knjižnici posuđivale knjige i kovali planovi za velika putovanja, recimo u Ande, koja njihova generacija, nažalost, nije imala šanse ostvariti jer je sve zapinjalo na nedostatku novca. Kasnije su došla druga vremena kada je oprema bila dostupnija, a i mogućnost putovanja jednostavnija, pa su alpinističke uspjehe za Split gradili Vinko Maroević, Stipe Božić, Strano Gilić, Nenad Čulić, Ivo Kaliterna, Ivo Kaštelančić, Boris Siriščević, Josip Ganza i drugi

Dvadeset godina kasnije, obilježavajući uspon iz 1960,-e,, iz Splita je krenuo pun autobus, što Mosoraša, šta gostiju, u Chamonix, a pola ih se popelo na vrh.

Skupe gojzerice, tehničke jakne, super čvrsti ruksaci, sva moguća tehnička oprema vrijedna čitavo bogatstvo, današnja je standardna oprema za visoka gorja.

Sa znatno osudnijom opremom, davne 1960. godine, na današnji dan četvorica Splićana uputila su se preko Rive prema Mont Blancu, najvišem alpskom vrhu i krovu zapadne Europe, na čiji vrh (4.810 m) su se uspješno popeli nekoliko dana kasnije, kao prvi Splićani i Dalmatinci. Bila su to četiri mosoraška mušketira Boris Kulić, Zvonko Kovač, Ivo Boko i Nikša Vučetić.

Povjesne kronike svjedoče je uspon ostvaren po veoma teškim vremenskim uvjetima. Pod njima je, nad Chamonixom, bjesnilo grmljavinsko nevrijeme, koje je nakon 2 do 3 sata vrhove prekrilo snježnom mećavom s orkanskim udarima vjetra. Momci su se sretno spustili s vrha, no ne bez posljedica.

Jedna od brojnih anegdota s ovog legendarnog uspona je svakako i događaj s povratka u Split. Naime, Zvonko Kovač je zbog ozeblina na ruci posjetio liječnika koji mu je bez pregleda izdao uputnicu za psihijatra misleći kako je Zvonko poludio. "Kakve vražje ozebline usred ljeta?!", zasigurno je posmislio liječnik.

Sva četvorica članova "Dalmatinske ekspedicije na Mont Blanc" su se istaknuli dugogodišnjim radom u društvu Mosor, a Zvonko Kovač i Ivo Boko su tijekom pedesetih i šezdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća u više navrata obnašali i dužnost predsjednika "Mosora".

Za Zvonka pričaju kako je bio pravi mentor tadašnjoj generaciji alpinista, znao je kakvu tko knjigu treba i što ga zanima, te je poticao kolege da se, osim penjanja, i duhovno razvijaju, a čak im je krpao i odjeću za planinarenje. U njegovoj su se knjižnici posuđivale knjige i kovali planovi za velika putovanja, recimo u Ande, koja njihova generacija, nažalost, nije imala šanse ostvariti jer je sve zapinjalo na nedostatku novca. Kasnije su došla druga vremena kada je oprema bila dostupnija, a i mogućnost putovanja jednostavnija, pa su alpinističke uspjehe za Split gradili Vinko Maroević, Stipe Božić, Strano Gilić, Nenad Čulić, Ivo Kaliterna, Ivo Kaštelančić, Boris Siriščević, Josip Ganza i drugi

Dvadeset godina kasnije, obilježavajući uspon iz 1960,-e,, iz Splita je krenuo pun autobus, što Mosoraša, šta gostiju, u Chamonix, a pola ih se popelo na vrh.

Skupe gojzerice, tehničke jakne, super čvrsti ruksaci, sva moguća tehnička oprema vrijedna čitavo bogatstvo, današnja je standardna oprema za visoka gorja.

Sa znatno osudnijom opremom, davne 1960. godine, na današnji dan četvorica Splićana uputila su se preko Rive prema Mont Blancu, najvišem alpskom vrhu i krovu zapadne Europe, na čiji vrh (4.810 m) su se uspješno popeli nekoliko dana kasnije, kao prvi Splićani i Dalmatinci. Bila su to četiri mosoraška mušketira Boris Kulić, Zvonko Kovač, Ivo Boko i Nikša Vučetić.

Povjesne kronike svjedoče je uspon ostvaren po veoma teškim vremenskim uvjetima. Pod njima je, nad Chamonixom, bjesnilo grmljavinsko nevrijeme, koje je nakon 2 do 3 sata vrhove prekrilo snježnom mećavom s orkanskim udarima vjetra. Momci su se sretno spustili...
