Lakoća umiranja od COVID-a 19 možda je najbolje vidljiva u Hrvatskoj. Virus koji je u RH do sada ubio više od 16.600 ljudi, u svijetu više od 6,49 milijuna, a koji i dalje ne postoji “u glavama” onih koji vjeruju u teorije zavjere, čipiranje, praćenje... i dalje, iako je navodno oslabio, ubija nesmiljenom žestinom.
Tako je u kolovozu ove godine u Hrvatskoj na onaj “drugi svijet” od COVID-a ili s njime prešlo 384 naših sugrađana. Neki će reći da je u pitanju velika brojka, a neki će reći kako to nije ništa u odnosu na one brojke kada je u RH u jednom mjesecu znalo umrijeti i više od dvije tisuće ljudi (u prosincu 2020. umrlo ih je 2113).
Međutim, ako usporedimo to tadašnje vrijeme i ovo danas, postajemo svjesni da smo u tom prosincu 2020. imali posla s virusom koji je bio opakiji, koji nije uglavnom napadao samo gornje dišne puteve, kao ovaj današnji omikron, i da je tako velika brojka umrlih bila kada su ljudi boravili u zatvorenim prostorima.
Više se umire
Možda nije zgorega napomenuti kako je u kolovozu 2020., kada još nismo gotovo ni znali što nas je snašlo, kada nismo ni bili svjesni kamo sve to ide i kada smo bili miljama daleko od cjepiva, u RH od COVID-a ili s njime umrlo 42 ljudi, a u kolovozu 2021. njih 79. A u ovom kolovozu, kada odavno imamo cjepivo, umrle su, kako smo napisali, 384 osobe.
– Kada ovako malo sa strane promatram situaciju, postajem svjestan da živimo u vremenu kada se virus slobodno širi i kako ne postoje nikakve epidemiološke mjere. Isto kao da je to normalno. Uglavnom umiru stariji ljudi koji imaju slabiji imunitet i koji sa sobom “nose” mnoge bolesti – govori izv. prof. dr. sc. Ivo Ivić, specijalist infektolog iz splitskoga KBC-a.
Oboljeli od COVID-a prije su neke teže simptome u pravilu dobivali između sedmog i 10. dana.
– Sada mi se čini da ljudi teže simptome dobivaju već između petog i sedmog dana, dakle nešto ranije. Među njima je pristojan broj onih koji su cijepljeni dvjema ili čak trima dozama. I oni obolijevaju, ali ne umiru. To znači da tim starijim ljudima treba i četvrta doza, ili s postojećim cjepivom ili s ovim novim koje tek treba doći na tržište, a koje štiti od novih sojeva virusa – kazuje dr. Ivić.
U nadolazećim mjesecima, kada se “zatvaramo u kuću”, ponovno najveća opasnost od obolijevanja “pada” na starije i stare osobe.
– Ima još starih ljudi, pogotovo u Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji, koji nisu cijepljeni i koji će, vrlo vjerojatno, nažalost oboljeti, a mnogi od njih će i umrijeti. Ponekad mi se čini da je ljudima lakše umrijeti negoli se cijepiti, što je nevjerojatno. Kod nas je postalo kao normalno da svaki tjedan umire jedan autobus ljudi. Gotovo se više nitko i ne osvrće na umrle od COVID-a, i to je prestrašno – kaže dr. Ivić.
Cijepljenje je i dalje, po mišljenju našeg sugovornika, jedini logičan odabir.
– Nisam za ništa govorio kako bi država trebala uvesti obvezno cijepljenje jer ljudi očito nemaju dovoljno svijesti o tome da je COVID i dalje vrlo opasna bolest – govori dr. Ivić.
Čeka novo cjepivo
Našeg smo sugovornika, koji se do sada cijepio trima dozama cjepiva, upitali hoće li se cijepiti i četvrtom dozom.
– Naravno da hoću. Čekat ću do kraja rujna da vidim hoće li RH do tada nabaviti ovo novo cjepivo koje štiti od podvarijanti virusa BA.4 i BA.5. Ako to cjepivo dođe, cijepit ću se njime, a ako ne dođe, tada ću se cijepiti postojećim cjepivom. Želim se zaštititi i biti primjer svima ostalima – kazuje dr. Ivić.
Na kraju smo ga upitali je možda u ove protekle gotovo dvije godine imao COVID, s obzirom da se gotovo 100 posto svog vremena “vrtio” oko najtežih pacijenata?
– Sigurno sam ga negdje pokupio a da i ne znam gdje. Zvuči mi gotovo nemoguće da ga nisam nigdje usput dobio, ali, eto, zahvaljujući cjepivu, i ako sam ga dobio, nisam ga ni osjetio. Još sam živ – zaključuje dr. sc. Ivo Ivić.

Lakoća umiranja od COVID-a 19 možda je najbolje vidljiva u Hrvatskoj. Virus koji je u RH do sada ubio više od 16.600 ljudi, u svijetu više od 6,49 milijuna, a koji i dalje ne postoji “u glavama” onih koji vjeruju u teorije zavjere, čipiranje, praćenje... i dalje, iako je navodno oslabio, ubija nesmiljenom žestinom.
Tako je u kolovozu ove godine u Hrvatskoj na onaj “drugi svijet” od COVID-a ili s njime prešlo 384 naših sugrađana. Neki će reći da je u pitanju velika brojka, a neki će reći kako to nije ništa u odnosu na one brojke kada je u RH u jednom mjesecu znalo umrijeti i više od dvije tisuće ljudi (u prosincu 2020. umrlo ih je 2113).
Međutim, ako usporedimo to tadašnje vrijeme i ovo danas, postajemo svjesni da smo u tom prosincu 2020. imali posla s virusom koji je bio opakiji, koji nije uglavnom napadao samo gornje dišne puteve, kao ovaj današnji omikron, i da je tako velika brojka umrlih bila kada su ljudi boravili u zatvorenim prostorima.
Više se umire
Možda nije zgorega napomenuti kako je u kolovozu 2020., kada još nismo gotovo ni znali što nas je snašlo, kada nismo ni bili svjesni kamo sve to ide i kada smo bili miljama daleko od cjepiva, u RH od COVID-a ili s njime umrlo 42 ljudi, a u kolovozu 2021. njih 79. A u ovom kolovozu, kada odavno imamo cjepivo, umrle su, kako smo napisali, 384 osobe.
– Kada ovako malo sa strane promatram situaciju, postajem svjestan da živimo u vremenu kada se virus slobodno širi i kako ne postoje nikakve epidemiološke mjere. Isto kao da je to normalno. Uglavnom umiru stariji ljudi koji imaju slabiji imunitet i koji sa sobom “nose” mnoge bolesti – govori izv. prof. dr. sc. Ivo Ivić, specijalist infektolog iz splitskoga KBC-a.
Oboljeli od COVID-a prije su neke teže simptome u pravilu dobivali između sedmog i 10. dana.
– Sada mi se čini da ljudi teže simptome dobivaju već između petog i sedmog dana, dakle nešto ranije. Među njima je pristojan broj onih koji su cijepljeni dvjema ili čak trima dozama. I oni obolijevaju, ali ne umiru. To znači da tim starijim ljudima treba i četvrta doza, ili s postojećim cjepivom ili s ovim novim koje tek treba doći na tržište, a koje štiti od novih sojeva virusa – kazuje dr. Ivić.
U nadolazećim mjesecima, kada se “zatvaramo u kuću”, ponovno najveća opasnost od obolijevanja “pada” na starije i stare osobe.
– Ima još starih ljudi, pogotovo u Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji, koji nisu cijepljeni i koji će, vrlo vjerojatno, nažalost oboljeti, a mnogi od njih će i umrijeti. Ponekad mi se čini da je ljudima lakše umrijeti negoli se cijepiti, što je nevjerojatno. Kod nas je postalo kao normalno da svaki tjedan umire jedan autobus ljudi. Gotovo se više nitko i ne osvrće na umrle od COVID-a, i to je prestrašno – kaže dr. Ivić.
Cijepljenje je i dalje, po mišljenju našeg sugovornika, jedini logičan odabir.
– Nisam za ništa govorio kako bi država trebala uvesti obvezno cijepljenje jer ljudi očito nemaju dovoljno svijesti o tome da je COVID i dalje vrlo opasna bolest – govori dr. Ivić.
Čeka novo cjepivo
Našeg smo sugovornika, koji se do sada cijepio trima dozama cjepiva, upitali hoće li se cijepiti i četvrtom dozom.
– Naravno da hoću. Čekat ću do kraja rujna da vidim hoće li RH do tada nabaviti ovo novo cjepivo koje štiti od podvarijanti virusa BA.4 i BA.5. Ako to cjepivo dođe, cijepit ću se njime, a ako ne dođe, tada ću se cijepiti postojećim cjepivom. Želim se zaštititi i biti primjer svima ostalima – kazuje dr. Ivić.
Na kraju smo ga upitali je možda u ove protekle gotovo dvije godine imao COVID, s obzirom da se gotovo 100 posto svog vremena “vrtio” oko najtežih pacijenata?
– Sigurno sam ga negdje pokupio a da i ne znam gdje. Zvuči mi gotovo nemoguće da ga nisam nigdje usput dobio, ali, eto, zahvaljujući cjepivu, i ako sam ga dobio, nisam ga ni osjetio. Još sam živ – zaključuje dr. sc. Ivo Ivić.
