"Civilizirana Europa prestaje tamo gdje prestaje željeznička pruga", "Po vlakovima se vidi prosperitet države". Ove dvije izreke često ćete čuti od zagovaratelja moćnog željezničkog prometa. Zadnjih dana u nekoliko navrata čuo sam ih poput neke mantre od prometnih stručnjaka koji se zalažu da Hrvatska konačno dobije željeznicu. Ovo što sada imamo teško se može nazvati željeznicom u suvremenom značenju te riječi. To bi se u današnjim rječnicima moglo naći pod pojmom "sprdačina".

Tko je imao iskustvo vožnje europskim željeznicama, da se samo na njih ograničimo, taj se na hrvatskim prugama ne može osjećati normalno. Tko god se vozio tim svjetskim feratama može posvjedočiti da ugodnijeg, sigurnijeg i bržeg prijevoza nema, uz sasvim pristojnu cijenu. U Italiji, Francuskoj ili Njemačkoj možeš od najvećega grada do najmanjeg sela doći vlakom. Dok europski vlakovi jure i po sto na sat, ali nemojmo pretjerivati s najbržima, recimo francuskima koji jure 500 na sat, a preko 300 na sat postižu i superbrzi vlakovi u drugim zemljama, neka uobičajena brzina u Europskoj uniji je od 150 do 200 na uru.

Avion, autobus...

Španjolski prosjek je 199 kilometara na sat, francuska normala je 195, talijanski 170, njemački 142, a britanski voze 134 na sat. To su izvješća Smardarta iz 21. stoljeća u europskim zemljama, a jedna zemlja, članica Unije, još šalje izvješća iz 19. stoljeća. To je, ne biste vjerovali, Hrvatska, čije vlakovlje pučka čitavih 58 kilometara na sat!

Ne samo to, hrvatski vlakovi se povremeno pretvaraju u autobuse. Pa je velika vjerojatnost da ćete kad uđete u vagon u Zagrebu, na pola puta presjesti u bus, koji samo izgleda kao bus, jer ustvari glumi vlak, koji staje na svakoj stanici kao i vlak!

Ovo nije neka ironija iz pera Iljf i Petrov, to je živa istina koju su doživjeli putnici na željezničkoj liniji Zagreb – Split prije tjedan dana. I uspio je postići svoj osobni rekord: samo sedam sati. Ista je stvar, je l' tako, i vlak i bus voze na dizel.

Kad su lani feratom u Rijeku pristizali češki turisti, slatko smo se smijali zamišljajući koliko bi dana ta ferata vozila do Splita. Ali ne, ni to nije bio vic, ove sezone uspostavljena je linija od Praga do Splita kojom se vozite "samo" 17 sati.

Nedavno je uvedena najduža avionska linija na svijetu London – Perth, a put traje nevjerojatnih 17 sati i 20 minuta. Preko pola zemaljske balote. To su objavili svi svjetski mediji, zaboravivši valjda da u Hrvatskoj postoji vlak koji toliku satnicu bez problema prevali od Splita do Praga.

Je, kazat ćete ali di ćeš uspoređivat vlak i avion. Pošteno, možemo usporedit feratu i feratu, našu i europsku. Ova srednja europska, put od Zagreba do Splita prodimila bi za dva sata, neka je i dva i pol, a srednja naša ispod šest sati nema šanse, osim ako joj je olujni vjetar u leđa, onda se domogne obale za pet i pol sati.

Ima nade: Bečki institut za međunarodne ekonomske studije izradio je europski projekt vlakova velikih brzina, a najsuvremenija željeznica povezala bi sve krajeve Europe, gradilo bi se 18.250 km pruge, a ulaganje je 1100 milijardu eura. Tom željezničkom mrežom putovalo bi se brzinom između 250 i 350 kilometara na sat, a na jednoj od četiri planirane linije našao bi se, uz Sloveniju i Hrvatsku, i cijeli zapadni Balkan. Kroz Srbiju bi išlo ukupno 448 kilometara pruge, za čiju je izgradnju potrebno 14,9 milijardi eura.

Zaobiđena Dalmacija

Pruga vija i kroz cijelu BiH, a kroz Hrvatsku, članicu EU-a, ako smo dobro pročitali, samo 164 kilometra! Pušiona! Treba li reći da ova trasa budućnosti zaobilazi Dalmaciju. Znači EU financira, vrhunski će proći zemlje koje nisu članice, ali Hrvatska koja je članica, gotovo da nema ništa od pruga budućnosti... Pljesak hrvatskoj Vladi!

Iz naše rupe se nikad nećemo izvuć. Nešto milijardi najavili su iz Vlade, uložit će se u prugu od Zagreba do Rijeke i po sjeveru zemlje. Dalmacija ostaje na reri i autocesti koja je većinu godine prazna – dakle kad nema turista – jer našim ljudima je preskupa. Pa se truckamo autobusima, što više nitko u Europi ne radi.

Par dana sam tražio prometne stručnjake koji bi me brifirali o našem željezničkom jadu za koji smo u našeg nacionalnog prijevoznika Hrvatske željeznice od 1990. usuli bezbrojne milijarde kuna. A na jednome savjetovanju feratjera rečeno je da bi trebali uložiti još 50 milijardi kuna da stignemo na razinu od prije pedeset godina! Kažu željezničari da im je 1990. od Zagreba do Vinkovaca trebalo dva sata, a danas četiri sata. Koji napredak!

Stalno se objavljuje kako kupujemo nove, sve bolje vagone, ali o prastaroj prugi nema zbora. To je kao da želiš Ferrarija voziti po makadamu.

Kad pitaš stručnjake odmah će ti reći dvije stvari: nemamo dovoljno teretnog prometa koji se željeznicom vozio paralelno s putničkim, pa da bude isplativo i imamo gadnu konfiguraciju tla. Puno planina. Proša sam vlakom Italiju po dužini, cijelu čizmu i kad su oni izbužali i podricali Apenine, prema kojima ove naše planinice izgledaju kao brdašca, onda stvarno ne vidim što je nemoguće. Kad je riječ o transportu vlakom, nema ga dovoljno – jer nema ni vlakova. Kao da ste prije dvadeset godina rekli: što će nam autocesta kad nemamo dovoljno prometa na magistrali!?

Stvar je beznadna. Nikad, kako je pjevao Arsen, nećemo "pobjeći iz svega u začaranom cugu, zlatnim kolosijekom, vlakom prema jugu".

Jer vlaka, braćo i sestre, nemamo niti ćemo ga imati. Kako ono bijaše: po vlaku se država poznaje... Ali stani, ne mora bit sve tako garavo, mogli bismo naš primitivizam iskoristiti u koje druge nego turističke svrhe: dragi gosti, dođite u Hrvatsku i vozite se željeznicama kakve su nekad bile! Samo ne pitajte zašto...

"Civilizirana Europa prestaje tamo gdje prestaje željeznička pruga", "Po vlakovima se vidi prosperitet države". Ove dvije izreke često ćete čuti od zagovaratelja moćnog željezničkog prometa. Zadnjih dana u nekoliko navrata čuo sam ih poput neke mantre od prometnih stručnjaka koji se zalažu da Hrvatska konačno dobije željeznicu. Ovo što sada imamo teško se može nazvati željeznicom u suvremenom značenju te riječi. To bi se u današnjim rječnicima moglo naći pod pojmom "sprdačina".

Tko je imao iskustvo vožnje europskim željeznicama, da se samo na njih ograničimo, taj se na hrvatskim prugama ne može osjećati normalno. Tko god se vozio tim svjetskim feratama može posvjedočiti da ugodnijeg, sigurnijeg i bržeg prijevoza nema, uz sasvim pristojnu cijenu. U Italiji, Francuskoj ili Njemačkoj možeš od najvećega grada do najmanjeg sela doći vlakom. Dok europski vlakovi jure i po sto na sat, ali nemojmo pretjerivati s najbržima, recimo francuskima koji jure 500 na sat, a preko 300 na sat postižu i superbrzi vlakovi u drugim zemljama, neka uobičajena brzina u Europskoj uniji je od 150 do 200 na uru.

Avion, autobus...

Španjolski prosjek je 199 kilometara na sat, francuska normala je 195, talijanski 170, njemački 142, a britanski voze 134 na sat. To su izvješća Smardarta iz 21. stoljeća u europskim zemljama, a jedna zemlja, članica Unije, još šalje izvješća iz 19. stoljeća. To je, ne biste vjerovali, Hrvatska, čije vlakovlje pučka čitavih 58 kilometara na sat!

Ne samo to, hrvatski vlakovi se povremeno pretvaraju u autobuse. Pa je velika vjerojatnost da ćete kad uđete u vagon u Zagrebu, na pola puta presjesti u bus, koji samo izgleda kao bus, jer ustvari glumi vlak, koji staje na svakoj stanici kao i vlak!

Ovo nije neka ironija iz pera Iljf i Petrov, to je živa istina koju su doživjeli putnici na željezničkoj liniji Zagreb – Split prije tjedan dana. I uspio je postići svoj osobni rekord: samo sedam sati. Ista je stvar, je l' tako, i vlak i bus voze na dizel.

Kad su lani feratom u Rijeku pristizali češki turisti, slatko smo se smijali zamišljajući koliko bi dana ta ferata vozila do Splita. Ali ne, ni to nije bio vic, ove sezone uspostavljena je linija od Praga do Splita kojom se vozite "samo" 17 sati.

Nedavno je uvedena najduža avionska linija na svijetu London – Perth, a put traje nevjerojatnih 17 sati i 20 minuta. Preko pola zemaljske balote. To su objavili svi svjetski mediji, zaboravivši valjda da u Hrvatskoj postoji vlak koji toliku satnicu bez problema prevali od Splita do Praga.

Je, kazat ćete ali di ćeš uspoređivat vlak i avion. Pošteno, možemo usporedit feratu i feratu, našu i europsku. Ova srednja europska, put od Zagreba do Splita prodimila bi za dva sata, neka je i dva i pol, a srednja naša ispod šest sati nema šanse, osim ako joj je olujni vjetar u leđa, onda se domogne obale za pet i pol sati.

Ima nade: Bečki institut za međunarodne ekonomske studije izradio je europski projekt vlakova velikih brzina, a najsuvremenija željeznica povezala bi sve krajeve Europe, gradilo bi se 18.250 km pruge, a ulaganje je 1100 milijardu eura. Tom željezničkom mrežom putovalo bi se brzinom između 250 i 350 kilometara na sat, a na jednoj od četiri planirane linije našao bi se, uz Sloveniju i Hrvatsku, i cijeli zapadni Balkan. Kroz Srbiju bi išlo ukupno 448 kilometara pruge, za čiju je izgradnju potrebno 14,9 milijardi eura.

Zaobiđena Dalmacija

Pruga vija i kroz cijelu BiH, a kroz Hrvatsku, članicu EU-a, ako smo dobro pročitali, samo 164 kilometra! Pušiona! Treba li reći da ova trasa budućnosti zaobilazi Dalmaciju. Znači EU financira, vrhunski će proći zemlje koje nisu članice, ali Hrvatska koja je članica, gotovo da nema ništa od pruga budućnosti... Pljesak hrvatskoj Vladi!

Iz naše rupe se nikad nećemo izvuć. Nešto milijardi najavili su iz Vlade, uložit će se u prugu od Zagreba do Rijeke i po sjeveru zemlje. Dalmacija ostaje na reri i autocesti koja je većinu godine prazna – dakle kad nema turista – jer našim ljudima je preskupa. Pa se truckamo autobusima, što više nitko u Europi ne radi.

Par dana sam tražio prometne stručnjake koji bi me brifirali o našem željezničkom jadu za koji smo u našeg nacionalnog prijevoznika Hrvatske željeznice od 1990. usuli bezbrojne milijarde kuna. A na jednome savjetovanju feratjera rečeno je da bi trebali uložiti još 50 milijardi kuna da stignemo na razinu od prije pedeset godina! Kažu željezničari da im je 1990. od Zagreba do Vinkovaca trebalo dva sata, a danas četiri sata. Koji napredak!

Stalno se objavljuje kako kupujemo nove, sve bolje vagone, ali o prastaroj prugi nema zbora. To je kao da želiš Ferrarija voziti po makadamu.

Kad pitaš stručnjake odmah će ti reći dvije stvari: nemamo dovoljno teretnog prometa koji se željeznicom vozio paralelno s putničkim, pa da bude isplativo i imamo gadnu konfiguraciju tla. Puno planina. Proša sam vlakom Italiju po dužini, cijelu čizmu i kad su oni izbužali i podricali Apenine, prema kojima ove naše planinice izgledaju kao brdašca, onda stvarno ne vidim što je nemoguće. Kad je riječ o transportu vlakom, nema ga dovoljno – jer nema ni vlakova. Kao da ste prije dvadeset godina rekli: što će nam autocesta kad nemamo dovoljno prometa na magistrali!?

Stvar je beznadna. Nikad, kako je pjevao Arsen, nećemo "pobjeći iz svega u začaranom cugu, zlatnim kolosijekom, vlakom prema jugu".

Jer vlaka, braćo i sestre, nemamo niti ćemo ga imati. Kako ono bijaše: po vlaku se država poznaje... Ali stani, ne mora bit sve tako garavo, mogli bismo naš primitivizam iskoristiti u koje druge nego turističke svrhe: dragi gosti, dođite u Hrvatsku i vozite se željeznicama kakve su nekad bile! Samo ne pitajte zašto...
