Američka voditeljica Barbie Bassett dobila je otkaz, nakon što je u emisiji uživo citirala tekst pjesme repera Snoop Dogga. Naime, mediji prenose da je u emisiji NBC-jeve podružnice "WLBT" Barbara vodila razgovor na temu vina koja proizvodi poznati glazbenik. Tijekom razgovora, voditeljica je citirala glazbenika, pritom koristeći uvredljive riječi, piše Večernji list.

 "Fo shizzle, my nizzle", rekla je Barbara. Problem leži u činjenici da je riječ "nizzle" sleng za pogrdan naziv za pripadnike crne rase. Ova šaljiva i škakljiva fraza prvi put se spominje Snoopovoj u pjesmi "Suited ‘n‘ Booted", koja je objavljena 2002. godine i mnogi misle da, s obzirom na to da je bjelkinja, Bassett nije smjela koristiti taj izraz.

Američki mediji su zaključili da je voditeljica dobila otkaz, po tome što više nije navedena na web stranici postaje. Barbie ni predstavnici emisije se još nisu oglasili o situaciji.

"Siguran sam da razumijete, WLBT ne može komentirati kadrovska pitanja", rekao je Ted Fortenberry, potpredsjednik televizijske mreže.

Ovo nije prvi put da je Bassett "bacila" neprimjereni komentar. Prošle godine je baku afroameričke reporterke Carmen Poe nazvala "grandmammy", što je izraz koji su robovi koristili za bake. Nakon izjave se javno ispričala, istaknuvši da razumije da je njezin komentar bio "bezosjećajan i bolan".

Američka voditeljica Barbie Bassett dobila je otkaz, nakon što je u emisiji uživo citirala tekst pjesme repera Snoop Dogga. Naime, mediji prenose da je u emisiji NBC-jeve podružnice "WLBT" Barbara vodila razgovor na temu vina koja proizvodi poznati glazbenik. Tijekom razgovora, voditeljica je citirala glazbenika, pritom koristeći uvredljive riječi, piše Večernji list.

 "Fo shizzle, my nizzle", rekla je Barbara. Problem leži u činjenici da je riječ "nizzle" sleng za pogrdan naziv za pripadnike crne rase. Ova šaljiva i škakljiva fraza prvi put se spominje Snoopovoj u pjesmi "Suited ‘n‘ Booted", koja je objavljena 2002. godine i mnogi misle da, s obzirom na to da je bjelkinja, Bassett nije smjela koristiti taj izraz.

Američki mediji su zaključili da je voditeljica dobila otkaz, po tome što više nije navedena na web stranici postaje. Barbie ni predstavnici emisije se još nisu oglasili o situaciji.

"Siguran sam da razumijete, WLBT ne može komentirati kadrovska pitanja", rekao je Ted Fortenberry, potpredsjednik televizijske mreže.

Ovo nije prvi put da je Bassett "bacila" neprimjereni komentar. Prošle godine je baku afroameričke reporterke Carmen Poe nazvala "grandmammy", što je izraz koji su robovi koristili za bake. Nakon izjave se javno ispričala, istaknuvši da razumije da je njezin komentar bio "bezosjećajan i bolan".

Voditeljica u emisiji uživo citirala poznatog repera - pa dobila otkaz: evo zbog koje je gadne greške ‘platila‘

Američka voditeljica Barbie Bassett dobila je otkaz, nakon što je u emisiji uživo citirala tekst pjesme repera Snoop Dogga. Naime, mediji prenose da je u emisiji NBC-jeve podružnice "WLBT" Barbara vodila razgovor na temu vina koja proizvodi poznati glazbenik. Tijekom razgovora, voditeljica je citirala glazbenika, pritom koristeći uvredljive riječi, piše Večernji list.

 "Fo shizzle, my nizzle", rekla je Barbara. Problem leži u činjenici da je riječ "nizzle" sleng za pogrdan naziv za pripadnike crne rase. Ova šaljiva i škakljiva fraza prvi put se spominje Snoopovoj u pjesmi "Suited ‘n‘ Booted", koja je objavljena 2002. godine i mnogi misle da, s obzirom na to da je bjelkinja, Bassett nije smjela koristiti taj izraz.
