Već dugo živimo pod diktatom ljepote i savršenosti, a posljednjih desetljeća estetskih operacija i korekcija. Zahtjevi za tim mogu dolaziti od nas samih, a mogu i iz okoline, ponekad i najbliže. Upravo to se dogodilo jednoj mladoj Amerikanki.

Ovo je, u cijelosti, njena priča:

Da živite u Los Angelesu, u Kaliforniji, znali biste koliko ponekad može biti teško biti žena ovdje. Kultura plastične kirurgije vrlo je jasna i glasna. Teško da možete pronaći ženu bez pune šminke, čak i u 6 ujutro, i lica bez filera i botoksa. Svojoj dnevnoj rutini dodajte feed na društvenim mrežama pun savršenih Barbika. Mučno je. Dok sam odrastala, bilo mi je ugodno u vlastitoj koži. Ne bih mogla reći da sam ružna, ali nikad se nisam smatrala ni lijepom. Bila sam prosječna. Mladićima su se neke stvari sviđale, neke nisu. Djevojke su se razmetale stvarima koje ja jednostavno nisam imala. Nisam se mogla usporediti s njima. Odjednom je moj imidž, nešto o čemu nikad nisam previše razmišljao, bio vrhunac moje vrijednosti. Svi su zaključili da je najbolje ukazati na moje mane:

"Oči su ti prevelike", "Imaš prištiće na čelu", "Zar te ne boli sjediti na tako ravnoj guzi? Uzmi jastuk", sve te komentare, i desetke drugih, nosila sam u sebi sve do adolescencije, pa i dulje, piše ona za portal Love what matters, prenosi Žena.rs.

‘Dušo, hoćeš li ikad na operaciju?‘

Kad sam upoznala budućeg muža, uvijek mi je govorio da sam "lijepa" i "zgodna". Stvari su među nama vrlo brzo kliknule i nakon samo godinu dana veze počeli smo živjeti zajedno u Los Angelesu. Bila sam svjesna da ona često gleda porniće i da se divi ženama poput Kim Kardashian i Kylie Jenner zbog njihove privlačnosti, ali to mi nikad nije smetalo. Mislila sam da je to samo bezumna zaljubljenost.

Sve dok mi nisu počeli stizati komentari: "Dušo, hoćeš li ikad na operaciju", "Tvoje lice bi bilo preslatko da su ti usne malo deblje. Vidiš, kao ona"... Nervozno sam se smijala. Prvo sam pomislila da se šali, ali onda je počeo nijemo buljiti u mene, promatrajući svaki moj pokret i čekajući odgovor.

Mjeseci bi prolazili, a tema se više ne bi pokretala. Ali nekako bi se uvijek vraćao na ovakve komentare. U jednom me trenutku natjerao da počnem razmišljati o ugradnji grudi. Znao je da sam o tome već razmišljala u prošlosti, pa je to iskoristio. Ali tema je opet umrla. Rekla sam mu da ih apsolutno ne želim i da je to moj konačni izbor.

Vjenčali smo se, promijenili stanove, razgovarali o najvećim strahovima, traumama i budućim ciljevima. Bio je savršen tip, ili se barem tako činilo. A onda je došao moj 27. rođendan. Odveo me u ostavu našeg malog stana u Los Angelesu. "Iznenađenje", rekao mi je i izvukao bijelu kovertu na kojoj je pisalo "Volim te". Bila sam jako iznenađena i nisam imala pojma što bi to moglo biti.

"Otvori", rekao mi je. Učinila sam to i pronašla unutra stotine dolara. "Uštedio sam! Za tvoje nove grudi", uzviknuo je.

Doslovno sam osjetila kako mi bijes obuzima tijelo. Zbunjeno me pogledao: "Što? Stvarno nećeš povećati grudi? Nakon svega što sam učinio za tebe?".

I odjednom, moj brak je bio mrtav. Gotovo je. Tih nekoliko riječi bilo je sve što sam trebala čuti.

Naravno, nije se to dogodilo odmah. Ali to je bio trenutak kad sam odlučila da ne želim biti s muškarcem koji me pritišće da promijenim svoj izgled zbog njega. Previše volim sebe da bih to učinila. Smiješno je to što je, kad sam izlazila iz našeg stana, nakon posljednjeg pozdrava, njegov izbor riječi bio zaista šokantan: "Vrati se. Umjesto toga možeš staviti filere u usta."

Nasmiješila sam se i otišla na aerodrom. Izjadala sam se majci, preboljela sam to i sad idem dalje. Malih prsa, mogla bih dodati.

Žene, nikada se ne mijenjajte plastičnim operacijama kako biste se svidjele muškarcima. Lijepa si baš takva kakva jesi. A ako se odlučite na operaciju, i to je u redu. Samo se pobrinite da to bude vaša odluka, napisala je ona za portal Love what matters, prenosi Žena.rs.

Već dugo živimo pod diktatom ljepote i savršenosti, a posljednjih desetljeća estetskih operacija i korekcija. Zahtjevi za tim mogu dolaziti od nas samih, a mogu i iz okoline, ponekad i najbliže. Upravo to se dogodilo jednoj mladoj Amerikanki.

Ovo je, u cijelosti, njena priča:

Da živite u Los Angelesu, u Kaliforniji, znali biste koliko ponekad može biti teško biti žena ovdje. Kultura plastične kirurgije vrlo je jasna i glasna. Teško da možete pronaći ženu bez pune šminke, čak i u 6 ujutro, i lica bez filera i botoksa. Svojoj dnevnoj rutini dodajte feed na društvenim mrežama pun savršenih Barbika. Mučno je. (Ne želim posramiti one koji se odluče na operaciju. Svatko pokušava na svoj način).

Dok sam odrastala, bilo mi je ugodno u vlastitoj koži. Ne bih mogla reći da sam ružna, ali nikad se nisam smatrala ni lijepom. Bila sam prosječna. Tek sam oko srednje škole postala svjesna slike o svom tijelu. Odjednom su cure imale grudi, a ja nisam. One su imali duge noge, a ja nisam. Čista koža,pogađate – ni to nisam imala. Mladićima su se neke stvari sviđale, neke nisu. Djevojke su se razmetale stvarima koje ja jednostavno nisam imala. Nisam se mogla usporediti s njima. Odjednom je moj imidž, nešto o čemu nikad nisam previše razmišljao, bio vrhunac moje vrijednosti. Svi su zaključili da je najbolje ukazati na moje mane:

"Oči su ti prevelike", "Imaš prištiće na čelu", "Zar te ne boli sjediti na tako ravnoj guzi? Uzmi jastuk", sve te komentare, i desetke drugih, nosila sam u sebi sve do adolescencije, pa i dulje, piše ona za portal Love what matters, prenosi Žena.rs.

‘Dušo, hoćeš li ikad na operaciju?‘

Kad sam upoznala budućeg muža, uvijek mi je govorio da sam "lijepa" i "zgodna". Stvari su među nama vrlo brzo kliknule i nakon samo godinu dana veze počeli smo živjeti zajedno u Los Angelesu. Bila sam svjesna da ona često gleda porniće i da se divi ženama poput Kim Kardashian i Kylie Jenner zbog njihove privlačnosti, ali to mi nikad nije smetalo. Mislila sam da je to samo bezumna zaljubljenost.

Sve dok mi nisu počeli stizati komentari: "Dušo, hoćeš li ikad na operaciju", "Tvoje lice bi bilo preslatko da su ti usne malo deblje. Vidiš, kao ona"... Nervozno sam se smijala. Prvo sam pomislila da se šali, ali onda je počeo nijemo buljiti u mene, promatrajući svaki moj pokret i čekajući odgovor.

Mjeseci bi prolazili, a tema se više ne bi pokretala. Ali nekako bi se uvijek vraćao na ovakve komentare. U jednom me trenutku natjerao da počnem razmišljati o ugradnji grudi. Znao je da sam o tome već razmišljala u prošlosti, pa je to iskoristio. Ali tema je opet umrla. Rekla sam mu da ih apsolutno ne želim i da je to moj konačni izbor.

Vjenčali smo se, promijenili stanove, razgovarali o najvećim strahovima, traumama i budućim ciljevima. Bio je savršen tip, ili se barem tako činilo. A onda je došao moj 27. rođendan. Odveo me u ostavu našeg malog stana u Los Angelesu. "Iznenađenje", rekao mi je i izvukao bijelu kovertu na kojoj je pisalo "Volim te". Bila sam jako iznenađena i nisam imala pojma što bi to moglo biti.

"Otvori", rekao mi je. Učinila sam to i pronašla unutra stotine dolara. "Uštedio sam! Za tvoje nove grudi", uzviknuo je.

Doslovno sam osjetila kako mi bijes obuzima tijelo. Zbunjeno me pogledao: "Što? Stvarno nećeš povećati grudi? Nakon svega što sam učinio za tebe?".

I odjednom, moj brak je bio mrtav. Gotovo je. Tih nekoliko riječi bilo je sve što sam trebala čuti.

Naravno, nije se to dogodilo odmah. Ali to je bio trenutak kad sam odlučila da ne želim biti s muškarcem koji me pritišće da promijenim svoj izgled zbog njega. Previše volim sebe da bih to učinila. Smiješno je to što je, kad sam izlazila iz našeg stana, nakon posljednjeg pozdrava, njegov izbor riječi bio zaista šokantan: "Vrati se. Umjesto toga možeš staviti filere u usta."

Nasmiješila sam se i otišla na aerodrom. Izjadala sam se majci, preboljela sam to i sad idem dalje. Malih prsa, mogla bih dodati.

Žene, nikada se ne mijenjajte plastičnim operacijama kako biste se svidjele muškarcima. Lijepa si baš takva kakva jesi. A ako se odlučite na operaciju, i to je u redu. Samo se pobrinite da to bude vaša odluka, napisala je ona za portal Love what matters, prenosi Žena.rs.

Nakon svega, ostala je sama, ali svoja.
