Bivši predsjednik SAD-a Donald Trump ne skriva svoja razmišljanja o potencijalnoj novoj kandidaturi za Bijelu kuću 2024. godine, no zato njegova supruga Melania Trump nema nimalo interesa za ponovno uživanje u tituli prve dame, piše Jutarnji list.

Vjerojatno najprivatnija prva dama u modernoj američkoj povijesti sve se više povlači iz središta pozornosti otkako je prošlog siječnja napustila Washington. Ovog je ljeta samo jednom viđena u javnosti i to u srpnju, pri izlasku iz Trump Towera u New Yorku zajedno sa svojim sinom Barronom.

Kako piše CNN, prošlog se mjeseca vratila s ljetnog boravka iz New Yerseyja u Palm Beach na Floridi, a njezini prijatelji tvrde da će boraviti u Mar-a-Lagu dok Barron pohađa privatnu srednju školu. Tvrde da je Melania odustala od života na Manhattanu kakav je poznavala prije dolaska u Bijelu kuću.

Melanijina nezainteresiranost za javni politički život toliko je velika da je nekim svojim prijateljima priznala da ne samo da ne namjerava poduprijeti napuhane političke ambicije svog supruga, već uopće nema želju vratiti se u Bijelu kuću. "Ona ne želi ponovno biti prva dama. Za nju je to bilo poglavlje života koje je završilo, i to je to", rekao je izvor blizak Melaniji za CNN.

Na Trumpov utjecaj na Republikansku stranku gleda kao na njegov, a ne njezin posao. "Melaniju nećete vidjeti na skupovima ni u kampanjama, čak ni ako on 'službeno' potvrdi da će se ponovno kandidirati", rekao je izvor koji je svjestan Melanijine nezainteresiranosti koju je pokazala više puta. "Umjesto nje bit će to Lara (supruga Trumpova sina Erica) ili Kimberly Guilfoyle (djevojka Trumpova najstarijeg sina Dona). Oni imaju istu želju za ponovnu utrku kao i Trump, a Melanija je nimalo nema", dodao je izvor.

Iako su se prethodni predsjednički kandidati često oslanjali na svoje supruge i njihov utjecaj u krugovima ženskih glasača, ideja o povećanju birača u nekoj izbornoj jedinici nikad nije bila Melanijina stvar, otkrila je osoba bliska prvoj dami tijekom godina koje je provela u Bijeloj kući. Zapravo, Melanijin odgovor "ne" na zamolbe Trumpova osoblja da se pojavi na nekom događaju toliko je bio čest da su je na kraju jednostavno prestali ispitivati.

"Činjenica je da su njegovi ljudi navikli da je nema. Progurala je ideju da je to što je nema dobra stvar. Obožavatelji su postali zaštitnički nastrojeni zbog toga što je nema, što je zapravo prilično nevjerojatno kad malo bolje razmislite", rekla je politička operativka koja je jedno vrijeme radila s tadašnjim američkim predsjednikom.

Dok je Laura Bush bila vješta u prikupljanju sredstava i privlačenju žena u kampanji, a Michelle Obama u javnom govoru u ime svog supruga Baracka Obame te je čak dobila nadimak 'The Closer', Melania je pak toliko dobra u tome što je nema da je svoju odsutnost učinila standardom.

Tako je, primjerice, na konzervativnoj političkoj konferenciji u veljači bivši predsjednik Trump u svom 90-minutnom obraćanju samo prenio Melanijin pozdrav, rekavši kako im ona, koja ih voli koliko i on, kaže 'zdravo'. Publici je to bilo dovoljno i jako ih je razveselilo.

Njezin život i dalje je vrlo privatan, više nego što bi po prirodi njene uloge u Washingtonu mogao biti. "Tako joj je sviđa. Što više može biti privatna, a manje u javnosti, to bolje. I u tome nema ništa loše. Mislim, ako je svaka osoba na svijetu gledala svaki vaš pokret posljednjih četiri ili pet godina, a vama to nije bilo ugodno, zamislite koliko je to moralo biti poticajno", zaključuje osoba koja Melaniju poznaje više od desetljeća za CNN.

Bivši predsjednik SAD-a Donald Trump ne skriva svoja razmišljanja o potencijalnoj novoj kandidaturi za Bijelu kuću 2024. godine, no zato njegova supruga Melania Trump nema nimalo interesa za ponovno uživanje u tituli prve dame, piše Jutarnji list.

Vjerojatno najprivatnija prva dama u modernoj američkoj povijesti sve se više povlači iz središta pozornosti otkako je prošlog siječnja napustila Washington. Ovog je ljeta samo jednom viđena u javnosti i to u srpnju, pri izlasku iz Trump Towera u New Yorku zajedno sa svojim sinom Barronom.

Kako piše CNN, prošlog se mjeseca vratila s ljetnog boravka iz New Yerseyja u Palm Beach na Floridi, a njezini prijatelji tvrde da će boraviti u Mar-a-Lagu dok Barron pohađa privatnu srednju školu. Tvrde da je Melania odustala od života na Manhattanu kakav je poznavala prije dolaska u Bijelu kuću.

Melanijina nezainteresiranost za javni politički život toliko je velika da je nekim svojim prijateljima priznala da ne samo da ne namjerava poduprijeti napuhane političke ambicije svog supruga, već uopće nema želju vratiti se u Bijelu kuću. "Ona ne želi ponovno biti prva dama. Za nju je to bilo poglavlje života koje je završilo, i to je to", rekao je izvor blizak Melaniji za CNN.

Na Trumpov utjecaj na Republikansku stranku gleda kao na njegov, a ne njezin posao. "Melaniju nećete vidjeti na skupovima ni u kampanjama, čak ni ako on 'službeno' potvrdi da će se ponovno kandidirati", rekao je izvor koji je svjestan Melanijine nezainteresiranosti koju je pokazala više puta. "Umjesto nje bit će to Lara (supruga Trumpova sina Erica) ili Kimberly Guilfoyle (djevojka Trumpova najstarijeg sina Dona). Oni imaju istu želju za ponovnu utrku kao i Trump, a Melanija je nimalo nema", dodao je izvor.

Iako su se prethodni predsjednički kandidati često oslanjali na svoje supruge i njihov utjecaj u krugovima ženskih glasača, ideja o povećanju birača u nekoj izbornoj jedinici nikad nije bila Melanijina stvar, otkrila je osoba bliska prvoj dami tijekom godina koje je provela u Bijeloj kući. Zapravo, Melanijin odgovor "ne" na zamolbe Trumpova osoblja da se pojavi na nekom događaju toliko je bio čest da su je na kraju jednostavno prestali ispitivati.

"Činjenica je da su njegovi ljudi navikli da je nema. Progurala je ideju da je to što je nema dobra stvar. Obožavatelji su postali zaštitnički nastrojeni zbog toga što je nema, što je zapravo prilično nevjerojatno kad malo bolje razmislite", rekla je politička operativka koja je jedno vrijeme radila s tadašnjim američkim predsjednikom.

Dok je Laura Bush bila vješta u prikupljanju sredstava i privlačenju žena u kampanji, a Michelle Obama u javnom govoru u ime svog supruga Baracka Obame te je čak dobila nadimak 'The Closer', Melania je pak toliko dobra u tome što je nema da je svoju odsutnost učinila standardom.

Tako je, primjerice, na konzervativnoj političkoj konferenciji u veljači bivši predsjednik Trump u svom 90-minutnom obraćanju samo prenio Melanijin pozdrav, rekavši kako im ona, koja ih voli koliko i on, kaže 'zdravo'. Publici je to bilo dovoljno i jako ih je razveselilo.

Njezin život i dalje je vrlo privatan, više nego što bi po prirodi njene uloge u Washingtonu mogao biti. "Tako joj je sviđa. Što više može biti privatna, a manje u javnosti, to bolje. I u tome nema ništa loše. Mislim, ako je svaka osoba na svijetu gledala svaki vaš pokret posljednjih četiri ili pet godina, a vama to nije bilo ugodno, zamislite koliko je to moralo biti poticajno", zaključuje osoba koja Melaniju poznaje više od desetljeća za CNN.
