Britanska kraljica nema drugog izbora nego i dalje "stezati pojas" obzirom da je postpandemijska kreditna kriza ozbiljno nagrizla čak i Buckinghamsku palaču. Sir Michael Stevens, kraljevski rizničar, otkrio je da iako godišnja recenzija odražava "nešto poput povratka u normalu", za kraljevsko se kućanstvo, odnosno monarhiju, obzirom na ponovno kretanje s putovanjima, investicijama i vrtnim zabavama, nastavlja "izazovno" razdoblje, piše Jutarnji list.

Naime, prošlogodišnji su rashodi iznosili 102,4 milijuna funti, što je porast od 17 posto, s tim da je većina potrošena na veliki desetogodišnji program građevinskih radova koji se odvijaju u Buckinghamskoj palači. Samo za obnovu došlo je do povećanja potrošnje od 41 posto, što iznosi 54,6 milijuna funti.

Palača je uspjela namaknuti 9,9 milijuna funti kroz obilaske posjetitelja i slične projekte za prikupljanje novca, ali još uvijek je tu manjak od čak 14,6 milijuna funti u kraljevskim financijama, što je nadoknađeno uranjanjem u dvorske "rezerve". Sir Michael je naglasio kako korištenje ove ušteđevine nije bilo očekivano. Palača je, naime, štedjela novac od samog početka projekta rekonstrukcije, kada su troškovi bili manji, spremajući se za eventualnu mogućnost da se povećaju. No, priznao je da, poput svih velikih institucija, Palača još uvijek osjeća posljedice pandemije koronavirusa.

Nedostatak posjetitelja i ostalih prihoda tijekom lockdowna koštao je monarhiju 18 milijuna funti, uz prihode 50 posto manje od razine prije pandemije.

Kraljevski dužnosnici kažu da će trebati naredne dvije do tri godine da se njihove financije vrate u normalu. Izgledno je i da će biti prisiljeni uložiti i dio novca koji su namijenili za opće održavanje imovine u radove na izgradnji palače kako bi se projekt vrijedan 369 milijuna funti obavio na vrijeme i bez probijanja proračuna.

"Gledajući unaprijed, s obzirom na to da će državna potpora vjerojatno ostati nepromijenjena u sljedećih nekoliko godina, a pritisci inflacije na operativne troškove i naša sposobnost rasta dopunskog prihoda će vjerojatno biti ograničeni u tako kratkom roku, nastavit ćemo djelovati u suprotnosti s našim planovima i suočavati se s tim udarima kroz naše vlastite napore i učinkovitost", kazao je Sir Michael.

Kraljevski suradnici naglasili su da su radovi na Buckinghamskoj palači bili nužni kako bi se spasila od 'katastrofalnih' kvarova obzirom da električne instalacije nisu bile zamijenjene od Drugog svjetskog rata, a ona će i dalje biti baza za kraljicu i njezinu obitelj.

Prema nedavnim izvješćima službenika palače, naglašava se kako je 96-godišnja kraljica i dalje "itekako aktivna kao čelnica države i čelnica nacije". Ona i njezina obitelj imali su čak 2300 angažmana u Velikoj Britaniji i inozemstvu prošle godine, od čega je ona kao suveren obavila njih 201 osobno.

Inače, ukupni trošak javnog financiranja kraljevske obitelji po osobi iznosi 1,29 funti, no u to ne ulaze troškovi osiguranja.

Po prvi put, sva tri kraljevska domaćinstva objavila su svoje podatke o razlikama. Buckinghamska palača trenutno zapošljava 9,6 posto osoblja iz redova etničkih manjina, dok je taj postotak u razdoblju od 2020. do 2021. bio 8,5 posto.

Clarence House ima bolje rezultate s 10,6 posto udjela iz redova etničkih manjina, dok Kensingtonska palača, koja nikada prije nije objavila svoje brojke, tvrdi da njihova radna snaga, kad su manjine u pitanju, iznosi 13,6 posto.

S druge strane, princ Charles više nikad neće primiti kofere pune novca u smislu donacija, potvrdili su kraljevski izvori. Naime, princ od Walesa suočio se s brojnim kritikama javnosti kad je, primjerice, prihvatio humanitarnu donaciju za svoju zakladu u visini od 2,5 milijuna funti od bivšeg premijera Katara, od čega je dio novca bio doslovce u koferu. Sporne donacije datiraju, doduše do 2015., no to je sad, tvrde kraljevski izvori, stvar prošlosti, piše Jutarnji list.

Britanska kraljica nema drugog izbora nego i dalje "stezati pojas" obzirom da je postpandemijska kreditna kriza ozbiljno nagrizla čak i Buckinghamsku palaču. Sir Michael Stevens, kraljevski rizničar, otkrio je da iako godišnja recenzija odražava "nešto poput povratka u normalu", za kraljevsko se kućanstvo, odnosno monarhiju, obzirom na ponovno kretanje s putovanjima, investicijama i vrtnim zabavama, nastavlja "izazovno" razdoblje, piše Jutarnji list.

Naime, prošlogodišnji su rashodi iznosili 102,4 milijuna funti, što je porast od 17 posto, s tim da je većina potrošena na veliki desetogodišnji program građevinskih radova koji se odvijaju u Buckinghamskoj palači. Samo za obnovu došlo je do povećanja potrošnje od 41 posto, što iznosi 54,6 milijuna funti.

Palača je uspjela namaknuti 9,9 milijuna funti kroz obilaske posjetitelja i slične projekte za prikupljanje novca, ali još uvijek je tu manjak od čak 14,6 milijuna funti u kraljevskim financijama, što je nadoknađeno uranjanjem u dvorske "rezerve". Sir Michael je naglasio kako korištenje ove ušteđevine nije bilo očekivano. Palača je, naime, štedjela novac od samog početka projekta rekonstrukcije, kada su troškovi bili manji, spremajući se za eventualnu mogućnost da se povećaju. No, priznao je da, poput svih velikih institucija, Palača još uvijek osjeća posljedice pandemije koronavirusa.

Nedostatak posjetitelja i ostalih prihoda tijekom lockdowna koštao je monarhiju 18 milijuna funti, uz prihode 50 posto manje od razine prije pandemije.

Kraljevski dužnosnici kažu da će trebati naredne dvije do tri godine da se njihove financije vrate u normalu. Izgledno je i da će biti prisiljeni uložiti i dio novca koji su namijenili za opće održavanje imovine u radove na izgradnji palače kako bi se projekt vrijedan 369 milijuna funti obavio na vrijeme i bez probijanja proračuna.

"Gledajući unaprijed, s obzirom na to da će državna potpora vjerojatno ostati nepromijenjena u sljedećih nekoliko godina, a pritisci inflacije na operativne troškove i naša sposobnost rasta dopunskog prihoda će vjerojatno biti ograničeni u tako kratkom roku, nastavit ćemo djelovati u suprotnosti s našim planovima i suočavati se s tim udarima kroz naše vlastite napore i učinkovitost", kazao je Sir Michael.

Kraljevski suradnici naglasili su da su radovi na Buckinghamskoj palači bili nužni kako bi se spasila od 'katastrofalnih' kvarova obzirom da električne instalacije nisu bile zamijenjene od Drugog svjetskog rata, a ona će i dalje biti baza za kraljicu i njezinu obitelj.

Prema nedavnim izvješćima službenika palače, naglašava se kako je 96-godišnja kraljica i dalje "itekako aktivna kao čelnica države i čelnica nacije". Ona i njezina obitelj imali su čak 2300 angažmana u Velikoj Britaniji i inozemstvu prošle godine, od čega je ona kao suveren obavila njih 201 osobno.

Inače, ukupni trošak javnog financiranja kraljevske obitelji po osobi iznosi 1,29 funti, no u to ne ulaze troškovi osiguranja.

Po prvi put, sva tri kraljevska domaćinstva objavila su svoje podatke o razlikama. Buckinghamska palača trenutno zapošljava 9,6 posto osoblja iz redova etničkih manjina, dok je taj postotak u razdoblju od 2020. do 2021. bio 8,5 posto.

Clarence House ima bolje rezultate s 10,6 posto udjela iz redova etničkih manjina, dok Kensingtonska palača, koja nikada prije nije objavila svoje brojke, tvrdi da njihova radna snaga, kad su manjine u pitanju, iznosi 13,6 posto.

S druge strane, princ Charles više nikad neće primiti kofere pune novca u smislu donacija, potvrdili su kraljevski izvori. Naime, princ od Walesa suočio se s brojnim kritikama javnosti kad je, primjerice, prihvatio humanitarnu donaciju za svoju zakladu u visini od 2,5 milijuna funti od bivšeg premijera Katara, od čega je dio novca bio doslovce u koferu. Sporne donacije datiraju, doduše do 2015., no to je sad, tvrde kraljevski izvori, stvar prošlosti, piše Jutarnji list.
