LeGrand “LG” Gold, koji živi u Oremu, Utah, ali potječe iz Tennessee gdje je rođena Dolly Parton, bori se s rakom debelog crijeva posljednje dvije godine. Prije tri tjedna primio je užasnu vijest da se rak proširio i da liječenje više neće pomoći, javio je KSLTV. Ostalo mu je još nekoliko mjeseci života. Otišao je u bolnicu.

Prije godinu dana napisao je na salveti "LG-jevu listu života" - 10 stvari koje je želio učiniti prije nego što umre.

Želja broj 7 bila je "Sresti Dolly Parton", jednu od njegovih omiljenih izvođača.

"Pomislio sam, ‘Pa, to se nikad neće dogoditi‘", rekao je postaji.

Ali nekoliko dana nakon što je njegova supruga Alice podijelila LG-jevu listu želja na društvenim mrežama, primili su telefonski poziv s pozivnog broja Tennesseeja. Bila je to Dolly Parton.

"Pa, samo sam sretna što znam da imam odanog obožavatelja", rekla je 77-godišnja ikona Goldu. "Hej LG, ovdje Dolly P. Čula sam da si moj obožavatelj mnogo godina i samo sam ti htjela zahvaliti na tome."

Rekla je Goldu da se nada da će mu poziv popraviti raspoloženje, što je, kako je rekla, uvijek bio njezin cilj u stvaranju glazbe.

“Samo znaj da ću te uvijek voljeti”, rekla je Parton prije nego što je zapjevala svoj megahit, dodajući Goldinovo ime u stihove, navodi KSLTV.

Kad je Gold primio poziv, ostao je bez riječi dok mu je živuća legenda pjevala pjesmu u video pozivu. Gold je rekao da je Partonin obožavatelj otkad je bio dijete.

"Sada se osjećam kao da sam besmrtan", rekao je.

LeGrand “LG” Gold, koji živi u Oremu, Utah, ali potječe iz Tennessee gdje je rođena Dolly Parton, bori se s rakom debelog crijeva posljednje dvije godine. Prije tri tjedna primio je užasnu vijest da se rak proširio i da liječenje više neće pomoći, javio je KSLTV. Ostalo mu je još nekoliko mjeseci života. Otišao je u bolnicu.

Prije godinu dana napisao je na salveti "LG-jevu listu života" - 10 stvari koje je želio učiniti prije nego što umre.

Želja broj 7 bila je "Sresti Dolly Parton", jednu od njegovih omiljenih izvođača.

"Pomislio sam, ‘Pa, to se nikad neće dogoditi‘", rekao je postaji.

Ali nekoliko dana nakon što je njegova supruga Alice podijelila LG-jevu listu želja na društvenim mrežama, primili su telefonski poziv s pozivnog broja Tennesseeja. Bila je to Dolly Parton.

Rekla je Goldu da se nada da će mu poziv popraviti raspoloženje, što je, kako je rekla, uvijek bio njezin cilj u stvaranju glazbe.

“Samo znaj da ću te uvijek voljeti”, rekla je Parton prije nego što je zapjevala svoj megahit, dodajući Goldinovo ime u stihove, navodi KSLTV.

Kad je Gold primio poziv, ostao je bez riječi dok mu je živuća legenda pjevala pjesmu u video pozivu. Gold je rekao da je Partonin obožavatelj otkad je bio dijete.

"Sada se osjećam kao da sam besmrtan", rekao je.
