Muškarci koji obavljaju zahtjevan posao za neodgovarajuću nagradu imaju dvostruko veću vjerojatnost da će razviti srčanu bolest od onih čiji su poslovi manje naporni i više zadovoljavajući, pokazuje novo istraživanje.

"Utjecaj opterećenja na poslu i neravnoteže truda i nagrade u kombinaciji bio je sličan veličini utjecaja pretilosti na rizik od koronarne bolesti", prema timu kanadskih liječnika čije je istraživanje objavio American Heart Association.

Dok su rezultati za žene bili nejasni, što možda ukazuje na veću otpornost, muškarci koji su izdržali "stresne radne uvjete" i koji su "osjećali da su uložili mnogo truda, ali su dobili malu nagradu" bili su suočeni s dvostruko većim rizikom od srčanih bolesti u usporedbi s muškarcima "bez tih psihosocijalnih stresora".

"Naša studija naglašava hitnu potrebu da se proaktivno pozabavimo stresnim radnim uvjetima kako bismo stvorili zdravije radno okruženje koje koristi zaposlenicima i poslodavcima", rekla je Mathilde Lavigne-Robichaud iz kanadske Sveučilišne bolnice Quebec-Laval.

Znanstvenici su pratili oko 6500 ljudi iz Quebecoisa, koji su se bavili većinom uredskim poslovima, od 2000. do 2018., ali su rekli da su nalazi relevantni za slična društva, poput SAD-a gdje su srčane bolesti odnijele oko 383.000 života 2020. godine.

"Naši rezultati sugeriraju da bi intervencije u svrhu smanjenja stresora iz radnog okruženja mogle biti osobito učinkovite za muškarce, a također bi mogle imati pozitivne implikacije za žene, budući da su ti čimbenici stresa povezani s drugim prevladavajućim zdravstvenim problemima kao što je depresija", rekla je Lavigne-Robichaud.

Muškarci koji obavljaju zahtjevan posao za neodgovarajuću nagradu imaju dvostruko veću vjerojatnost da će razviti srčanu bolest od onih čiji su poslovi manje naporni i više zadovoljavajući, pokazuje novo istraživanje.

"Utjecaj opterećenja na poslu i neravnoteže truda i nagrade u kombinaciji bio je sličan veličini utjecaja pretilosti na rizik od koronarne bolesti", prema timu kanadskih liječnika čije je istraživanje objavio American Heart Association.

Dok su rezultati za žene bili nejasni, što možda ukazuje na veću otpornost, muškarci koji su izdržali "stresne radne uvjete" i koji su "osjećali da su uložili mnogo truda, ali su dobili malu nagradu" bili su suočeni s dvostruko većim rizikom od srčanih bolesti u usporedbi s muškarcima "bez tih psihosocijalnih stresora".

"Naša studija naglašava hitnu potrebu da se proaktivno pozabavimo stresnim radnim uvjetima kako bismo stvorili zdravije radno okruženje koje koristi zaposlenicima i poslodavcima", rekla je Mathilde Lavigne-Robichaud iz kanadske Sveučilišne bolnice Quebec-Laval.

Znanstvenici su pratili oko 6500 ljudi iz Quebecoisa, koji su se bavili većinom uredskim poslovima, od 2000. do 2018., ali su rekli da su nalazi relevantni za slična društva, poput SAD-a gdje su srčane bolesti odnijele oko 383.000 života 2020. godine.

"Naši rezultati sugeriraju da bi intervencije u svrhu smanjenja stresora iz radnog okruženja mogle biti osobito učinkovite za muškarce, a također bi mogle imati pozitivne implikacije za žene, budući da su ti čimbenici stresa povezani s drugim prevladavajućim zdravstvenim problemima kao što je depresija", rekla je Lavigne-Robichaud.
