Hashimotov sindrom je bolest o kojoj se u posljednje vrijeme sve više govori. To je autoimuna bolest štitnjače koja uglavom zahvaća žene, i to do petnaest puta češće nego muškarce. Prema istraživanjima, svaka peta žena danas ima ovaj sindrom, piše Slow Living.
S vremenom štitnjača više ne može proizvoditi dovoljnu količinu hormona koja je tijelu potrebna te se javlja stanje hipotireoze.
Ova se bolest ne može izliječiti, ali se njezini simptomi mogu ublažiti.
Uzroci bolesti
Pravi uzrok nastanka ove autoimune bolesti još uvijek nije otkriven. Prema dosadašnjim saznanjima, u podlozi bolesti mogla bi biti kombinacija genetske predispozicije i nekog vanjskog okidača, najčešće stresa.
Dijagnoza
Za dijagnosticiranje ovog sindroma obavljaju se krvne pretrage za utvrđivanje razine hormona štitnjače, kao i klinički pregled, osobna i obiteljska anamneza te ultrazvučni nalaz.
Također, nalaz karakterističan za Hashimotov sindrom je prisutnost antitijela štitnjače.
Važno je napraviti i ultrazvučni pregled štitnjače kojim se gleda količina i izgled tkiva štitnjače te eventualna prisutnost čvorova.

Liječenje

Hashimotov sindrom je bolest o kojoj se u posljednje vrijeme sve više govori. To je autoimuna bolest štitnjače koja uglavom zahvaća žene, i to do petnaest puta češće nego muškarce. Prema istraživanjima, svaka peta žena danas ima ovaj sindrom, piše Slow Living.
S vremenom štitnjača više ne može proizvoditi dovoljnu količinu hormona koja je tijelu potrebna te se javlja stanje hipotireoze.
Ova se bolest ne može izliječiti, ali se njezini simptomi mogu ublažiti.
Uzroci bolesti
Pravi uzrok nastanka ove autoimune bolesti još uvijek nije otkriven. Prema dosadašnjim saznanjima, u podlozi bolesti mogla bi biti kombinacija genetske predispozicije i nekog vanjskog okidača, najčešće stresa.
Dijagnoza
Za dijagnosticiranje ovog sindroma obavljaju se krvne pretrage za utvrđivanje razine hormona štitnjače, kao i klinički pregled, osobna i obiteljska anamneza te ultrazvučni nalaz.
Također, nalaz karakterističan za Hashimotov sindrom je prisutnost antitijela štitnjače.
Važno je napraviti i ultrazvučni pregled štitnjače kojim se gleda količina i izgled tkiva štitnjače te eventualna prisutnost čvorova.
