Nakon brojnih nagađanja i teorija zavjera što se događa s engleskom kraljevskom obitelji, a ponajviše s princezom Kate, sama je odlučila podijeliti koju je malo tko pretpostavio. U iskrenoj video objavi otkrila je da joj je dijagnosticiran rak.
U siječnju ove godine bila podvrgnuta velikoj abdominalnoj operaciji zbog stanja za koje se vjerovalo da nije kancerogeno, ali su kasniji testovi otkrili da je rak bio prisutan. Međutim, u svom obraćanju 42-godišnja princeza nije otkrila o kojem se raku radi. Što je preventivna kemoterapija
U svojoj je objavi ipak otkrila da je podvrgnuta preventivnoj kemoterapiji.
- Operacija je bila uspješna. Međutim, testovi nakon operacije pokazali su da je rak bio prisutan. Moj liječnički tim stoga je savjetovao da se podvrgnem preventivnoj kemoterapiji i sada sam u ranoj fazi tog liječenja – rekla je princeza.
Preventivna kemoterapija nije službeni izraz NHS-a za vrstu liječenja i nisu dane dodatne informacije o Kateinom raku ili vrsti liječenja koje se provodi. Postoje tretmani koji se nazivaju kemoprevencija i koji smanjuju rizik od dobivanja raka ili njegovog povratka kod zdravih ljudi. Na primjer, trenutno se koristi za osobe koje nisu oboljele od raka dojke, međutim, imaju povećan rizik od obolijevanja zbog obiteljske povijesti. Vrste kemoterapija

Nakon brojnih nagađanja i teorija zavjera što se događa s engleskom kraljevskom obitelji, a ponajviše s princezom Kate, sama je odlučila podijeliti koju je malo tko pretpostavio. U iskrenoj video objavi otkrila je da joj je dijagnosticiran rak.
U siječnju ove godine bila podvrgnuta velikoj abdominalnoj operaciji zbog stanja za koje se vjerovalo da nije kancerogeno, ali su kasniji testovi otkrili da je rak bio prisutan. Međutim, u svom obraćanju 42-godišnja princeza nije otkrila o kojem se raku radi. Vjeruje se da je ovim potezom željela stati na kraj nagađanjima, ali i zadržati dio privatnosti za sebe i borbu s opakom bolešću koju trenutno vodi, piše Živim .
Što je preventivna kemoterapija
U svojoj je objavi ipak otkrila da je podvrgnuta preventivnoj kemoterapiji.
- Operacija je bila uspješna. Međutim, testovi nakon operacije pokazali su da je rak bio prisutan. Moj liječnički tim stoga je savjetovao da se podvrgnem preventivnoj kemoterapiji i sada sam u ranoj fazi tog liječenja – rekla je princeza.
Preventivna kemoterapija nije službeni izraz NHS-a za vrstu liječenja i nisu dane dodatne informacije o Kateinom raku ili vrsti liječenja koje se provodi. Postoje tretmani koji se nazivaju kemoprevencija i koji smanjuju rizik od dobivanja raka ili njegovog povratka kod zdravih ljudi. Na primjer, trenutno se koristi za osobe koje nisu oboljele od raka dojke, međutim, imaju povećan rizik od obolijevanja zbog obiteljske povijesti. Lijekovi za kemoterapiju koriste se za ubijanje stanica raka. Lijekovi ometaju način na koji stanice raka rastu i dijele se i stoga zaustavljaju širenje stanica raka u tijelu.
Vrste kemoterapija
Prema stručnjacima iz The Royal Marsden, bolnice u Londonu, kemoterapija koja se naziva profilaktična odnosno adjuvantna terapija jedan je od pristupa koji se koristi za uništavanje stanica raka koje mogu ostati nakon operacije ili radioterapije.
Ostale vrste kemoterapije uključuju neoadjuvantnu terapiju, koja se daje prije operacije ili radioterapije za smanjenje tumora, zatim, perioperativna terapija koja se daje i prije i poslije operacije, i palijativna, koja pomaže u ublažavanju simptoma ako se rak proširio.
Prema Svjetskoj zdravstvenoj organizaciji (WHO) postoji javnozdravstveni pristup nazvan preventivna kemoterapija koji se koristi na cijeloj populaciji, gdje se primjenjuju lijekovi velikih razmjera za sprječavanje određenih bolesti. To uključuje limfnu filarijazu, poznatu kao elefantijaza, stanje odebljanja dijela tijela zbog zastoja u limfnim putovima.
