Morska neman teška otprilike 3 tone plutala je beživotno u blizini obale otoka Faiala, gdje je uočena 9. prosinca 2021. godine. Lokalni ribari koji su uhvatili ovu nepoznatu ribu odlučili su je odnijeti u luku, kako bi ju znanstvenici mogli detaljno proučiti. Rezultati nekropsije pokazali su da je riječ o jako neobičnoj morskoj životinji, piše National geographic.

Naime, otkriveno je da ovaj veličanstveni primjerak Južne ribe sunčanice, odnosno ribe Mola alexandrini iznosi 3,6 metara dužine, a da je težak 2.755 kilograma. Voditelj istraživanja, znanstvenik Jose Nuno Gomes-Pereira rekao je kako ova velika životinja u vodi izgleda još strašnije.

Prethodni svjetski rekord u veličini držala je riba iste vrste uhvaćena u Japanu 1966. godine. Prema podatcima iz Guinnessove knjige rekorda, taj je primjerak težio 2.300 kilograma. Zanimljivo je da su se jedinke ove vrste neko vrijeme pogrešno smatrale velikim primjercima obične oceanske ribe - Mola mola.

Ova je vrsta ribe dobila ime sunčanica jer njezine jedinke često plivaju blizu površine mora kako bi se osunčale. Znanstvenici smatraju da ovo rade prije nego što zarone u hladne dubine gdje hvataju hranu. Još neki, upola manji primjerci ove ribe pronađeni su u vodama diljem svijeta, piše National Geographic.

Morska neman teška otprilike 3 tone plutala je beživotno u blizini obale otoka Faiala, gdje je uočena 9. prosinca 2021. godine. Lokalni ribari koji su uhvatili ovu nepoznatu ribu odlučili su je odnijeti u luku, kako bi ju znanstvenici mogli detaljno proučiti. Rezultati nekropsije pokazali su da je riječ o jako neobičnoj morskoj životinji, piše National geographic.

Naime, otkriveno je da ovaj veličanstveni primjerak Južne ribe sunčanice, odnosno ribe Mola alexandrini iznosi 3,6 metara dužine, a da je težak 2.755 kilograma. Voditelj istraživanja, znanstvenik Jose Nuno Gomes-Pereira rekao je kako ova velika životinja u vodi izgleda još strašnije.

Prethodni svjetski rekord u veličini držala je riba iste vrste uhvaćena u Japanu 1966. godine. Prema podatcima iz Guinnessove knjige rekorda, taj je primjerak težio 2.300 kilograma. Zanimljivo je da su se jedinke ove vrste neko vrijeme pogrešno smatrale velikim primjercima obične oceanske ribe - Mola mola.

Ova je vrsta ribe dobila ime sunčanica jer njezine jedinke često plivaju blizu površine mora kako bi se osunčale. Znanstvenici smatraju da ovo rade prije nego što zarone u hladne dubine gdje hvataju hranu. Još neki, upola manji primjerci ove ribe pronađeni su u vodama diljem svijeta, piše National Geographic.

Lokalni ribari su u blizini obale otoka Faiala pronašli tijelo nepoznate morske nemani, njezine gigantske dimenzije dospjele su i u Guinnessovu knjigu rekorda

Morska neman teška otprilike 3 tone plutala je beživotno u blizini obale otoka Faiala, gdje je uočena 9. prosinca 2021. godine. Lokalni ribari koji su uhvatili ovu nepoznatu ribu odlučili su je odnijeti u luku, kako bi ju znanstvenici mogli detaljno proučiti. Rezultati nekropsije pokazali su da je riječ o jako neobičnoj morskoj životinji, piše National geographic.

Naime, otkriveno je da ovaj veličanstveni primjerak Južne ribe sunčanice, odnosno ribe Mola alexandrini iznosi 3,6 metara dužine, a da je težak 2.755 kilograma. Voditelj istraživanja, znanstvenik Jose Nuno Gomes-Pereira rekao je kako ova velika životinja u vodi izgleda još strašnije.

Prethodni svjetski rekord u veličini držala je riba iste vrste uhvaćena u Japanu 1966. godine. Prema podatcima...
