Vizualni identitet izložbe "Sveti Jere na Marjanu" Muzeja hrvatskih arheoloških spomenika u Splitu, otvorene na proljeće 2021., konkretno logo izložbe autora i dizajnera Stjepka Rošina, dobitnik je zlatne nagrade "Graphis Gold Award", u kategoriji "Logo", koju dodjeljuje jedan od svjetski najuglednijih časopisa za grafički dizajn i oglašavanje, sa sjedištem u New Yorku, te će biti uvršten u Graphis Design Annual 2023.

Magazin Graphis i Graphisov izdavački program općenito, jedno je od najvažnijih i najutjecajnijih mjesta za promociju grafičkog dizajna, ilustracije, oglašavanja i fotografije. Magazin Graphis prvi put je objavljen 1944., a 1952. izašao je i prvi godišnjak, Graphis Annual koji dokumentira najbolju međunarodnu dizajnersku produkciju unutar jednogodišnjeg razdoblja.

Govoreći o dizajnu, treba podsjetiti da je sv. Jeronim (rođen u Dalmaciji, područje Hrvatske), kršćanski svetac, filozof, prevoditelj i pisac, najpoznatiji po prijevodu Biblije sa hebrejskog, aramejskog i grčkog izvornika na latinski jezik (Vulgata). Svojim autoritetom, posredno, omogućio je i da glagoljica u Hrvatskoj postane narodno pismo, s vremenom ipak potisnuto latinicom. S toga je namjera dizajna bila obilježiti projekt "Sv. Jeronim", u provedbi Muzeja hrvatskih arheoloških spomenika tako da logo komunicira srž identiteta sveca: početak pismenosti, pisano djelo, latinica i glagoljica.

S obzirom na to da je svetac zaslužan za početak pismenosti, jer je začetnik Biblije kakva se danas koristi na zapadu, kao osnova za vizual uzeto je inicijalno latinično slovo "J" - (J)eronim, i to iz tri razloga. Slovo je osnovni element nekog pisanog djela, a tako izdvojen asocira i na inicijal starih knjiga. Te konačno, inicijal u značenju riječi, a i unutar knjiga, predstavlja početak.

Inicijalno slovo ‘J‘

Nadalje, inicijalno slovo "J" vizualizira apstraktan lik sveca sa najosnovnijim atributima. Iskorištena je pozicija serifa slova "J" za nenametljivu vizualizaciju prepoznatljivog crvenog kardinalskog šešira. Glagoljičnim slovom "J", ispod serifa, integriranog unutar osi slova, postigla se aluzija na svečevu bradu, zadržavajući prepoznatljivost uskog oblika latiničnog slova "J". Usko latinično slovo "J" je bitno i zbog uske asketske svečeve građe. Zatim, dno slova aludira na pero za pisanje i vršak naliv pera. A ukupni dojam vizuala zbog oblika slova je duhovni, jer ostavlja svojim slovnim potezom dojam kao da svetac lebdi u prostoru.

Minimalnim intervencijama unutar jednog slova stvoren je jednostavan, a atributima složen znak. Logo je afirmirao i staro, pomalo zaboravljeno starohrvatsko glagoljično pismo, integrirajući glagoljicu unutar latinice na jedinstven način, zadržavajući naglasak na latinici. S obzirom na to da se radi o složenom muzejskom projektu sv. Jeronima koji je bio ne baš tako jednostavna osoba, potrebna tehnička jednostavnost i logična sadržajnost identiteta su ono traženo optimalno.

Vizualni identitet izložbe "Sveti Jere na Marjanu" Muzeja hrvatskih arheoloških spomenika u Splitu, otvorene na proljeće 2021., konkretno logo izložbe autora i dizajnera Stjepka Rošina, dobitnik je zlatne nagrade "Graphis Gold Award", u kategoriji "Logo", koju dodjeljuje jedan od svjetski najuglednijih časopisa za grafički dizajn i oglašavanje, sa sjedištem u New Yorku, te će biti uvršten u Graphis Design Annual 2023.

Magazin Graphis prvi put je objavljen 1944., a 1952. izašao je i prvi godišnjak, Graphis Annual koji dokumentira najbolju međunarodnu dizajnersku produkciju unutar jednogodišnjeg razdoblja.

Govoreći o dizajnu, treba podsjetiti da je sv. Jeronim (rođen u Dalmaciji, područje Hrvatske), kršćanski svetac, filozof, prevoditelj i pisac, najpoznatiji po prijevodu Biblije sa hebrejskog, aramejskog i grčkog izvornika na latinski jezik (Vulgata). Svojim autoritetom, posredno, omogućio je i da glagoljica u Hrvatskoj postane narodno pismo, s vremenom ipak potisnuto latinicom. S toga je namjera dizajna bila obilježiti projekt "Sv. Jeronim", u provedbi Muzeja hrvatskih arheoloških spomenika tako da logo komunicira srž identiteta sveca: početak pismenosti, pisano djelo, latinica i glagoljica.

S obzirom na to da je svetac zaslužan za početak pismenosti, jer je začetnik Biblije kakva se danas koristi na zapadu, kao osnova za vizual uzeto je inicijalno latinično slovo "J" - (J)eronim, i to iz tri razloga. Slovo je osnovni element nekog pisanog djela, a tako izdvojen asocira i na inicijal starih knjiga. Te konačno, inicijal u značenju riječi, a i unutar knjiga, predstavlja početak.

Inicijalno slovo ‘J‘

Nadalje, inicijalno slovo "J" vizualizira apstraktan lik sveca sa najosnovnijim atributima. Iskorištena je pozicija serifa slova "J" za nenametljivu vizualizaciju prepoznatljivog crvenog kardinalskog šešira. Glagoljičnim slovom "J", ispod serifa, integriranog unutar osi slova, postigla se aluzija na svečevu bradu, zadržavajući prepoznatljivost uskog oblika latiničnog slova "J". Usko latinično slovo "J" je bitno i zbog uske asketske svečeve građe. Zatim, dno slova aludira na pero za pisanje i vršak naliv pera. A ukupni dojam vizuala zbog oblika slova je duhovni, jer ostavlja svojim slovnim potezom dojam kao da svetac lebdi u prostoru.

Minimalnim intervencijama unutar jednog slova stvoren je jednostavan, a atributima složen znak. Logo je afirmirao i staro, pomalo zaboravljeno starohrvatsko glagoljično pismo, integrirajući glagoljicu unutar latinice na jedinstven način, zadržavajući naglasak na latinici. S obzirom na to da se radi o složenom muzejskom projektu sv. Jeronima koji je bio ne baš tako jednostavna osoba, potrebna tehnička jednostavnost i logična sadržajnost identiteta su ono traženo optimalno.

Vizualni identitet izložbe "Sveti Jere na Marjanu" Muzeja hrvatskih arheoloških spomenika u Splitu, otvorene na proljeće 2021., konkretno logo izložbe autora i dizajnera Stjepka Rošina, dobitnik je zlatne nagrade "Graphis Gold Award", u kategoriji "Logo", koju dodjeljuje jedan od svjetski najuglednijih časopisa za grafički dizajn i oglašavanje, sa sjedištem u New Yorku, te će biti uvršten u Graphis Design Annual 2023.
